The phenomenon of profanation of sacred traditions in the tourism industry is increasingly prevalent. Considering that matter, some steps should be taken to avoid the tradition of desacralization. This research was done by a field research approach to identifying the values of the traditional ceremony of Tengger, especially Yadnya Kasada, Yadnya Karo, and Unan-unan. This research was located in Tosari and Ngadiwana Village, Tosari, Pasuruan, East Java. The data was collected by unstructured and open-ended interviews. The results showed that their beliefs and obedience in conducting the ancestral teachings must be balanced through a deep and comprehensive understanding of traditional values. On the other hand, adaptation strategies must be carried out to stabilize themselves with modernization. These are done to preserve the existence of tradition without eliminating the essence of sacredness that has been attached to it. Therefore, one of the steps that can be taken is to separate the tradition from commodification without resisting the flow of modernization

The 1970 amended Belgian Constitution is at the cross-roads of two currents of history, on one hand, once more the traditional values of the Occidental society ; on the other hand a double communal pressure contests an unitary state : from underneath affirmation of three Belgiannational communities, from above, apparition of a «supra-national party».The authors make a critical examination of the cropping up of bonding institutions in a «pré-fédéral» state, then they clearly state the principles of a really federal Constitution based upon the acknowledgement of the 2 large communities and the 3 regions and the principles of a democratic organization of an economic politic.

This paper looks at the circumstances in which Ivan Crnojevic, a fifteenth-century ruler of Zeta (historic region in present-day Montenegro), made a vow to the Virgin in a famous pilgrimage shrine, the Santa Casa in Loreto (Italy), where he was in exile fleeing another Ottoman offensive. The focus of the paper is on a few issues which need to be re-examined in order to understand Ivan?s vow against a broader background. His act is analyzed in the context of the symbolic role that the Virgin of Loreto played as a powerful antiturca protectress. On the other hand, much attention is paid to the institutional organization of Slavs (Schiavoni) who found refuge in Loreto and nearby towns, which may serve as a basis for a more comprehensive understanding of the process of religious and social adjustment of Orthodox Slav refugees to their new Catholic environment.

The novel presents a variety of characters, each has his own journey. Since the novel puts forth the time of partition (Indo- Bangladesh) and time after it, characters can be seen with traits which are both traditional and modern. It is due to their upbringing and values that their mind has certain inclinations. Because of her traditional values Thamma shows repulsion towards Ila and Tridib. The later ones on the other hand has their own personal set of beliefs to live their lives. Such disparity in thoughts gives a hint of clashes between them in many parts of the novel. However, even the traditional characters carry a spirit of freedom and modernity within them. Also modern characters have an urge to cling to their roots too.

This chapter discusses the badkhn in contemporary hasidic society. Hasidic society does not approve of radical innovations in relation to religious custom, and this is certainly true of the activities of badkhonim at weddings. Nevertheless, the hasidic leadership has been able to channel such activities into preferred directions, in accordance with its own conceptions and usages. Earlier practices that clashed with hasidic customs and beliefs have been discarded. On the other hand, mystical interpretation has invested some traditional values with new meanings. The badkhn's position has thus been strengthened, thanks to the legitimization of his activity from a religious point of view. The same is true of the badkhn's verses and the accompanying music. It would appear, however, that the shift of emphasis from form to content, to the inner meaning of the badkhn's activities, has resulted in the formation, on one hand, of rigorous new constraints and, on the other, of new possibilities for the creation of local or even individual, personal styles, depending on the relative involvement of the tsadikim in such activities.

From the beginning of Islam, hadith maudhu 'or false hadith is a very crucial issue. Prophet Muhammad  SAW reminded his Companions through his Hadith "whoever lies on me, be prepared to occupy a place in hell". Nevertheless, the flow of maudhu' hadith never stops. This indication one of them can be seen in the increasingly widespread spreading of false hadith, until today. On the other hand, it can also be seen from the side of the eradication effort, which never stopped by the ulama in various regions. This study conducted in the form of field research, taking a relatively small location, in one kecamatan. The sample 5 villages in Peureulak sub-district, East Aceh district. The respondents of this study are the Mubalighs who considered to know the hadith maudhu', and also know the development of the spread of hadith maudhu' in society. The results of this study include, among others, efforts made by the ulama in Peureulak Sub-district in order to anticipate the spread of hadith maudhu 'among others: to conduct counseling and special study on the science of Hadith, in which alluded to the hadith maudhu'; in addition the scholars also provide direction and reprimand to the preachers who make hadith maudhu' as a reference when they do da'wah in society. Competency approach to Russian education has become the leading trend of its modernisation. It allows combining professionalism of a pedagogue with its personal self-improvement. However formation of key subject competences of "Orthodox Culture" teachers have their own specifics caused by the general historical situation (hybrid war of civilisation antagonists), on the one hand, which requires solving the problem of spiritual and moral upbringing on the basis of traditional values of the Russian society. On the other hand, it is caused by readiness of these values and by the level of their adequate perception by pedagogues themselves. The author analyses the results of the survey conducted in 2009–2018 among "Orthodox Culture" teachers and makes a conclusion about the eclecticism of their worldview choice, and also considers it important to change the nature of their preparation for the spiritual and moral upbringing of schoolchildren based on the values of Orthodox culture.

The island of Malta has served as a strategic colony since the dawn of history. Since Phoenician and Roman times, the island has been an important base in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Its last colonisers, the British, spent about 180 years using the islands for their imperial needs. The official closing of the British base on 31 March 1979 heralded a new economic and social reality supposedly unhampered by the exigencies of foreigners. Two major post-memory reactions kicked in – nostalgia and aversion to ex-colonial life. The postcolonial Maltese generations exhibit a range of reactions oscillating between love and hate for the British. On the other hand, British ex-service personnel and their families have continued to feel an affinity with the island base which they had come to acknowledge as a second home. This allows for a new type of relationship between the Maltese people and their British visitors where issues of colonial post-memory are negotiated. These are seen at their best in the local tourism industry. Malta woos British tourists and goes to great effort to attract them. It uses to its advantage the colonial affinity to create an attractive destination for the British which benefits the locals and the Maltese economy. In Malta post-memory has evolved in line with necessity and expediency, where animosity, though manifestly tangible, has gradually morphed into a rather benign residue in the collective reaction to the colonial past.
