In the judgment with commentaries, the Provincial Administrative Court in Opole made a statement concerning the penalty of expulsion from a higher education institution as a disciplinary penalty declared only by disciplinary committees. From the point of view of the judgment with commentaries, it is of importance to specify that this penalty is not of “life-long” nature, nor dśs it result in deprivation of the right to study in other institutions. The author approves of the position held by the judgment with commentaries and claims it to be an accurate and significant voice of the judiciary, which may prove substantial in eliminating legal ambiguities (and absurdities) arising as a result of applying the provisions of law in regard to responsibilities of higher education students, drawing attention to the incomplete and insufficient form of the provision of the relevant legal regulation.

A Deputy does not have to inform the Marshal of the Sejm about an intention of being employed as an assistant professor in a higher education institution, because it is a creative activity of an individual nature. Such obligation would exist if a Deputy had to perform additional responsibilities (apart from a pure academic or didactic work). In such case a Deputy would lose the right to receive a salary. However, s/he could apply for a partial salary – in the sum equal to the difference between a full Deputy’s salary and an additional one (received as a result of an additional employment).

Palavras-chave: Educação a distância; Tutoria; Mediação. Online Activities from Tutors PerspectivesAbstract Online mediation and interaction were analyzed based on the perspectives of eleven tutors from a Brazilian private higher education institution. From the perspective of guaranteeing the right to defence to the person in question, we believe that the higher education institution, through the persons involved in the disciplinary activity and those who have access to the resulting documents has no obligation to keep confidential the identity of the sender of the complaint to the one indicated in the complaint (as being the one who would have committed an act that could constitute a disciplinary misconduct). Thus, de lege ferenda, we propose that the complaint in its entirety be communicated to the person in question and the identity of the person who notifies the higher education institution regarding the commission of an act that may constitute a disciplinary misconduct be recorded in the final report of the Review Commission to be attached, as appropriate, to the sanctioning decision. The arguments that support the above are detailed in this material, using as well already regulated best practice models. Thus, we believe that it will prove useful in the academic environment and will discourage those under the protection of "anonymity" to act even in bad faith.

This paper examined teacher-education students' stress experience and strategies to cope with the demands related to their pre-teaching evaluation performance. It employed a quantitative research design (descriptive-correlation) through the use of two standardized survey questionnaires, the Stress Survey Questionnaire (SSQ) and Student's Coping Scale (SCS), in collecting the needed data for inferential analysis. The respondents of this research were 135 teacher-education students of a public higher education institution in the province of Cebu, Philippines. The respondents were solicited via a purposive random sampling technique. This paper found that most teacher-education students had a very satisfactory performance relative to their pre-teaching performance evaluation. Differing from the existing literature, the respondents experienced a moderate level of stress while fairly utilizing unhealthy means to cope with the demand in school. Results further revealed that the stress experienced by respondents relates to their coping strategies. In contrast, both stress experienced and coping strategies do not relate to the pre-teaching performance of the respondents. Based on the findings and conclusion, this paper proposed an intervention plan for adoption.   Received: 10 July 2021 / Accepted: 23 September 2021 / Published: 5 November 2021

Among these factors, the authors singled out magnitude of educational and extracurricular workload, working capacity during the school day and week, health condition, manifestation of various signs of fatigue, self-efficacy, motivation to learning, relationships with classmates and teachers, social frustration. The researchers stressed that the first-year students' adaptation period is different, depending on their individual and psychological characteristics, the level of readiness to study at a higher education institution, the correct choice of the future profession. On the basis of the results of the experimental study, the ways and directions of successful students' adaptation are determined, which foresees, first of all, the reduction of the impact of maladaptation factors on higher education students, increase in their resistance to these factors and strengthening of those factors that are favorable to them.

Today, social networks have become an important part of an individual's life. Most people use social networks to interact and communicate not only with people, but also with different companies or institutions in search of information. This includes higher education institutions. The role of social networks in a higher education institution is important; It helps show what the university does, what services it offers, the achievements of its students, what achievements they get, etc. Social networks, with the right strategies, can create a great impact on how students see the university and what to do, and also they become an admission tool to generate interest in future students.

The Coronavirus pandemic 2019 (COVID-19) is hastily spreading, bringing pressure and challenges to international students and educators in a higher education institution who were locked down on campus during the COVID-19 outbreak. We sought to explore psychological experiences of international higher education students and educators during the COVID-19 pandemic in Eswatini. A qualitative phenomenological approach was adopted. Participants were 20 conveniently selected international higher education students and educators who were locked down on Campus from March 20 to September 25, 2020. The interviews were conducted face to face. Data were thematically analysed. The study was informed by the ecological systems theory. The psychological experiences of international higher education students and educators during COVID-19 pandemic were categorized in to four themes. Frist negative emotions present in early stages involving discomfort, anxiety and helplessness caused by isolation, fear and concern for safety. Second self-coping strategies included psychological and life adjustments, social distancing, acceptance of wearing of masks, hand sanitizing and online/blended learning. Third we reported growth under the crisis which included affection for family members, peers and self-reflection. Finally, we reported that positive emotions occurred concurrently with negative emotions. During the COVID-19 crisis positive and negative emotions of international higher education students and educators intertwined and co-occurred. Self-coping strategies and psychological growth played a crucial role in maintaining mental health of the students and educators.
