<p>The objective of the study was to analyze the differences of applying educational media to change mother’s knowledge and attitude on the breakfast of the elementary school children in Bogor District. The study was a quasy experimental study. Subjects in this research were 225 mothers of elementary school children in the nine villages in Bogor District. Nutrition education media used for this study were power point slides, flip charts, and combination of the power point slides and leaflets. Score of knowledge and attitude on breakfast increased significantly after the intervention. ANOVA analysis results on knowledge and attitude on the breakfast showed better improvement for the combination of power point slides and leaflets. The proportion of knowledge and attitude of the mothers increased after the intervention. The combination of the power point slides and leaflets was the type of educational media which could increase the rate of mother’s knowledge and attitude score compared to power point slides and flip chart.</p>

<p>The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a healthy breakfast campaign on the changes in knowledge, attitudes, and breakfast habits among elementary school children in Bogor District. A quasy experimental study was applied to this study. Subjects in this study were 229 elementary school children in the nine villages in Bogor District. Nutrition education media used in this study were power point, puppets, picture cards, and drama. The school childrens knowledge and attitude showed that there was a significant difference between media intervention of power point, puppet, and drama to picture cards. The highest scores of knowledge (73.23±1.14) and attitude (91.84±1.09) was in picture cards. The percentage of subjects having a habit of breakfast before intervention was 78.2% and increased to 81.7% after intervention. Media intervention by picture cards gave highest change to increased breakfast knowledge, attitude, and habits for elementary school children. </p>

Many factors can lead to moral irregularities by children, one of which is the number of impressions that are less culturally appropriate and less educational for children. Impressions adapted from folklore often become a strategic alternative as educational media. In general, the message conveyed in folklore is a guideline of behavior in social life, good and bad teaching, joy, sadness, and heroism. Positive moral messages contained are expected to control turbulent in emotion and character development in the process of forming a child's character, especially in the contemporary era. 2 dimensional (2D) animated film which delivering Balinese local content from folklore is done by this research. The 2D animation is entitled 'I Ceker Cipak'. The 2D animation form is chosen because it can explain complicated information to be more simple and interesting, so it can be easily to understood by the audience. 2D animated film is also a media that can be enjoyed by all ages and relatively cheaper and easy to use. Story I Ceker Cipak also convey the values ​​of justice, and humanity through the implementation of the law of karma phala. From the results of tests conducted on children SDN 1 Semarapura Middle students, Klungkung, found that elementary school children can easily understand the moral messages contained in the 2D animation folklore movie entitled I Ceker Cipak.

Sufficient consumption of vegetables and fruits is one balanced nutritional indicator. Indonesian people (60.44%) consume fewer vegetables and fruits. The fiber content in vegetables and fruit is very useful for the body. Nutrition education in early childhood aims to shape nutritional behavior to be better. Efforts to improve nutrition knowledge can be done with appropriate, interesting, and easily understood media for children including storytelling methods. Therefore, it is necessary to research nutrition education through a storytelling method to increase the consumption of vegetables and fruits for elementary school children. This study aims to determine the effect of nutrition education through storytelling methods to increase the consumption of vegetables and fruits for elementary school children. This research is a pre-experiment. one group pre-post test. Data analysis in this study using the Paired Sample T-test. The subjects of this study were the elementary school children of 21 North Pontianak totaling 35 samples. The technique of collecting questionnaire data was chosen by direct interview, to see the difference in the consumption of vegetables and fruits. Based on the results of statistical tests of fruit intake scores before and after the intervention of 35 respondents obtained p-value 0,000 <0,05 this indicates that there is a significant difference between the fruit intake score before and after. The statistical test results of vegetable intake scores before and after the intervention were obtained p-value 0,000 <0,05, indicating that there were significant differences in vegetable intake scores in school children.

Traditional food also proves as functional food wich prevents degenerative diseases. The fact shows in children's school the traditional food is less popular than modern food (nontraditional). But modern snacks have a negatively impact on health status. This habit will not occur if the children get knowledge about good nutrition. The aim of this research is to find out the effect of nutritional counseling on traditional food toward children's knowledge and attitude at Elementry School 11st in Banda Aceh. Quasi-experimental research was conducted on 33 students drawn randomly, measured before and after the extension of knowledge respondents using a questionnaire form, and data analysis used a T-test statistical tests dependent on CI: 95%. The results, the average level of knowledge of children before and after the extension is 10, 45, and 11,88. The average behavior before and after counseling was 6,73 and 7,09. In conclusion, counseling has an influence in increasing the knowledge of schoolchildren about traditional snacks but does not affect changing the behavior of elementary school children. Suggestions need to increase outreach using media in changing the behavior of elementary school children. Jajanan tradisional merupakan makanan fungsional, yang dapat mencegah beberapa jenis penyakit degenerative. Fakta menunjukkan bahwapada anak sekolah jajanan tradisional kurang digemari dibandingkan jajanan modern (non tradisional). Namun, jajanan  moderen (non tradisional) berdampak negatif terhadap status kesehatan. Apabila setiap anak tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan perilaku tentang gizi, maka mereka akan salah dalam memilih jajanan yang sehat. Penelitian  bertujuan untuk mengukur pengaruh penyuluhan gizi tentang jajanan tradisional terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku anak. Desain penelitian kuasi eksperimen pada 33 siswa sekolah dasar,  dengan pendekatan pre-postest observational, sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan diukur pengetahuan responden dengan menggunakan form kuesioner, dan analisa data menguunakan uji statistik T-test dependen pada CI:95%. Hasil, rata-rata  tingkat pengetahuan anak sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan adalah 10,45 dan 11,88. Rata-rata perilaku sebelum dan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan adalah 6,73 dan 7,09. Kesimpulan, penyuluhan mempunyai pengaruh dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anak sekolah tentang jajanan tradisional, namun tidak berpengaruh dalam mengubah perilaku anak-anak sekolah dasar. Saran, perlu peningkatan penyuluhan dengan menggunakan media dalam mengubah perilaku anak-anak sekolah dasar.

The people the behavior of maintaining dental health in elementary school children is still in the low category. This is evidenced by the results of basic health research proving that brushing teeth is good at the age of 5-9 which is 93.2% and at the age of 10-14 it is 96.5% but only 2.8% brushes teeth at the right time. Dental health education using traditional media can increase the dental health knowledge of elementary school children. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of traditional media on increasing dental health knowledge of elementary school children. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest and posttest with a control group design. The research was conducted at SDN 1 Sumbermulyo and SDN 2 Sumbermulyo, Pasanggaran District, Banyuwangi Regency. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique, as many as 48 students consisting of 24 intervention groups and 24 control groups. The intervention group was dental health education using traditional "wayang" media, while the control group was dental health education using power point media. analysis using the paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. Result: level of knowledge of dental health before and after in the treatment group and control group obtained significancy p = 0.000 then p < 0.05 which means dental health education with wayang media and power media point is equally effective in increasing the dental health knowledge of elementary school children. Difference in the level of knowledge between the intervention group and the control group value of p = 0.000, then p < 0.05, which means that dental health education using wayang media is more effective in increasing dental and oral health knowledge of elementary school children than using power point media. Conclusion: dental health education using traditional media is effective in increasing the dental health knowledge of elementary school children.
