The present investigation was to compare the relationship between occupational stress and psychological well-being among Private and Public Sector Employee. The sample consisted of 120 male and female Private and Public Sector Employee working at various manufacturing industries in Rajkot city. Srivastava & Singh’s (1984) “Occupational stress Scale” and Bhogle & Prakash’s (1995) “Psychological will-being Questionnaire” were administrated to them. Karl Pearson’s correlation method yielded negative and significant correlation between occupational stress and psychological well-being among Private and Public Sector Employee. Moreover high-stress group has been found to have higher correlation between occupational stress and psychological well-being than moderate stress group and low stress group.

This chapter deals with an important issue in every public organization: employees’ well-being, which the academic literature consistently relates to organizational performance. After addressing the definition of well-being, the chapter presents the two main theoretical lenses through which well-being is considered: the job demands–resources (JD–R) and the person–environment (P–E) fit models. With respect to these two theoretical models, the main empirical findings, specifically for public organizations, are described and discussed. Thus, variables are identified that can be considered as levers for or obstacles to well-being in public organizations. This permits an “institutional” reading of the antecedents of well-being, highlighting, among other characteristics, environmental, organizational, and task characteristics that are particularly important to consider when studying public organizations. Finally, the chapter also points out some gaps in the current literature and proposes new avenues of research for the study of well-being in public organizations.

The study aims to highlight the occupation level on occupational stress, psychological well-being, and quality of life of Indian Army Personnel. The study was conducted on one hundred fifty Indian male Army Personnel of different rank belonging to 25 years to 45 years of age group. The cross-sectional design was used. The sample was selected through the purposive sampling technique. The tools measures like the Occupational Stress Index, Psychological Well-Being Scale and WHO Quality of Life-BREF Hindi was individually administered. The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. One way Analysis of Variance results revealed that there is a significant difference in occupational levels on occupational stress, psychological well-being, and quality of life among Indian Army personnel. Pearson product-moment correlations coefficient showed a significant negative relationship between occupational stress with psychological well-being and quality of life and showed a significant positive relationship between psychological well-being and quality of life among Indian Army Personnel.

The elementary school teachers and especially women teachers are facing new challenges and need to be supported by the educational administrators and the state. In order to strengthen the role of women teachers, there is needed to look at well-being and occupation stress of women teachers‟. The present paper is justified to study the well being and occupational stress of women teachers of primary schools. For this, Well Being Scale and Occupational Stress Scale for are used as tools of data collection. Main findings of this study are: (i) very few women teachers fall in low well being level category while majority of the women teachers fall in the category of high well being, (ii) few women teachers fall in high stress level category while majority of the women teachers fall in the category of average as well as less stress well being category and (iii) there exists significant relationship between well being and occupational stress of women teachers of primary schools.

This study aims to determine the effect of stress on the job situation of psychological well-being. The population in this study is a honorary teachers in Islamic Elementary School in the City of Tangerang. This study uses a quantitative method with a sample of honorary teachers in Islamic Elementary School in the City of Tangerang amounted to 55 respondents. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling with 55 respondents. This study uses two scale that a scale of psychological well-being and stress scale were arranged by researcher based on the theories of stress advanced by Robbins & Judges (2013), Gibson, Ivancevich, Donelly & Konopaske (2012) and Newstrom & Davis (2002). Test hypothesis in this study using a regression analysis one predictors. Based on the analysis of data, this means that there is influence between stress on the job situation to the psychological well-being on a honorary teacher Islamic Elementary School (MI) in the city of Tangerang. The resulting negative influence, meaning that if the work situation of high stress levels, the levels of psychological well-being will be lower.
