The changes caused by digitalization give rise to a definite need to increase managerial and organizational flexibility. In some areas the impact of these rapid changes is significant, in others the impact is weaker, but is clearly felt in all industries and functions. This determines the need for research of project and product management to help managers form an approach to achieve optimal results and gain a competitive advantage over the other technology companies. Focusing on the project management and product management topics, the current paper falls into a niche of great relevance and strategic importance for the technology industry. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to examine the product and project management in times of digital transformation and to analyze whether the transition from project to productoriented management in technology industry is necessary. The methods used in this paper include: analysis and synthesis; research through literature sources, results of theoretical and empirical research in the field of product and project management, etc. The results show that integrating a product mindset within projects will enable technology companies to further adapt to the dynamically changing business environment and to provide a unique value proposition in times of digital transformation.

In the era of digital transformation, following the emergence of disruptive technologies that guided and facilitated the shift towards sharing economy, change is imperative. Imagine the very nice-looking carriages that you see in the royal weddings and compare them to the latest generation of Tesla cars. Or compare the set of skills required to fly Yakovlev Air-5 model 1931 vis-a-vis the Dassault Rafale or the F16 Fighting Falcon (Top 10 fighters, 2017). Before embarking on driving/flying the latter, regardless how competent with the former, the driver/pilot needs to acquire relevant knowledge and master a new set of skills and techniques, and learn different methods in order to be able to deal with the state-of-the-art technology. The vibrant business environment that has become even turbulent amid the digital transformation is analogous to the rough sea with unfavourable conditions. Those who are not ahead of the game, vigilant, and aware of what they need to do in order to sail safe will have an unpleasant ending, regardless of how successful they are at present. The Titanic is just one example.

The digital transformation vision (REACH 2025) is essential for transformation and enabling individuals, sectors, and companies in Jordan to adopt digital solutions and build a robust ground in conducting business. The government in Jordan launched the REACH2025 Vision in 2016, and it has taken many serious measures to bring sectors, companies, and individuals to virtual digital by 2025. This government's vision consisted of seven dimensions (Smart Specialization and demand-driven innovation, Public Sector Innovation, Tech Start-ups and Entrepreneurs, ICT Skills, Capacity and Talent, Enabling Business Environment, Smart digital economy infrastructure, and Governance), and 18 actions to implement over ten years. The researchers used these dimensions to build a framework to measure the impact of government progress on enabling individuals, sectors, and companies, on productivity, and encouraging investment. The researchers used a sample of 196 respondents from various disciplines to figure out attitudes and evaluate government actions. The researchers also used responses to validate the proposed theoretical framework in the components of the digital economy. The results revealed positive attitudes towards the development and implementation, and excellent in some areas, while some measures need strengthening and re-evaluation. The study recommended employing the proposed framework to measure the actual impact of the digital transformation. The study also advises leading future research towards further empirical examination to validate the framework proposed.

One of the main characteristics of current business environment is related to internationalization of companies and economies, where competitors from different countries with diverse cultures and production factors, easily clash for a position of supremacy in the markets. Thus, internationalization turned the management of organizations in a more complex act, increasing opportunities but also the risks of the business. As such, this paper aims to reflect on the main issues associated with companies' internationalization and the impact on their management process, in particular on financial performance and in organizational changes. In addition, we intend to conduct a case study of a Portuguese company of information technology industry that through its internationalization strategy, managed in less than a decade, to increment the turnover from 10 million to 60 million euros, becoming one of the largest Portuguese groups in the sector and a worldwide success.

Purpose: the main goal of the research is to develop a humanistic approach to digital transformation management based on the principles of social responsibility in the current uncertain environment. Methods: the research is based on the integration of conceptual approaches to understanding the specifics of the functioning of a modern organization in the context of digital transformation and the impact of the new crisis on Russian business. The author attempts to determine the emerging trends in the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the decisions made by company managers in relation to their employees. The basic concepts of the research cover the areas of digitalization of the economy, humanization of economic growth, human capital, personnel management, and social responsibility of business. Results: the analysis of the combined influence of factors of economic, technological, demographic and cultural Genesis on the formation of a new approach to the construction of interaction between organizations and people in the direction of greater emphasis on anthropocentrism. It is determined that this kind of relationship should be based on the principles of socially responsible business behavior, recognizing the person as the main resource for digital transformation, achieving commercial success and sustainable development. The article assesses the real situation in the labor market and in Russian companies under the influence of digital challenges and the coronavirus pandemic. It is emphasized that the demand for social orientation of business increases many times during crisis periods, during which there is a rethinking of values and the formation of new foundations for future development. Recommendations are given for eliminating or minimizing the conflict between humanistic and technocratic approaches in the management of companies based on the principles of social responsibility. Conclusions and Relevance: the solution of a set of tasks for the digital transformation of the economy, saturating the business environment with new technological solutions, in the current conditions of uncertainty formed under the influence of the coronavirus pandemic, actualizes the problem of preserving humanity in a technologizing world. It is imperative to find ways to remove the generally accepted (perhaps far-fetched?) contradictions between human essence and technological transformations. Companies, while adopting strategic guidelines in the field of goal setting, building their potential and building prospects, should give priority to the development of human resources as an integral element of technological progress and a key factor in creating long-term value for companies and society as a whole.

The economic crisis generated by the coronavirus pandemic has acted as an accelerator for the digital transformation of almost all economic entities, as a result of which it has become a massive phenomenon. However, this situation has shown that the practical development of digital transformation as a tool for business management in the digital economy requires its theoretical understanding, the formation of a theoretical basis and a scientific definition of the essence of digital transformation of companies. In particular, one of the key problems in the implementation of digital transformation at the present time is the assessment of its effectiveness, since in most cases it does not always end successfully. At the same time, knowledge of approaches and criteria for the effectiveness of digital transformation can improve the quality of its implementation. The purpose of the study is to study approaches to assessing the effectiveness of digital transformation, to determine its nature and essence at a theoretical level, as well as to conduct an econometric analysis of the contribution of digital transformation to achieving the company's efficiency. In the course of the study the existing approaches to defining the essence of digital transformation were studied, its key elements that make up the basis were established, and the existing approaches to assessing the effectiveness of digital transformation of a company and its impact on business efficiency were studied. The absence of a unified approach to assessing the effectiveness of digital transformation and the main reasons for this problem have been established. Based on the results of the regression analysis of a sample of the largest companies of the pre-digital era, implementing digital transformation, the formulated hypothesis about the impact of digital transformation on the short-term performance of the company (profitability) was refuted, which allowed us to assume the strategic nature of this tool, the results of which are formed over a lag of time. When writing the article, various scientific research methods were used: deduction and induction when conducting empirical analysis of the activities of companies implementing digital transformation, analytical methods and regression analysis. The obtained results of the study contribute to the development of the theory of assessing the effectiveness of digital transformation of business, anti-crisis management and determine the directions for further theoretical developments.

Artificial intelligence offers the promise of transforming biomedical research and helping clinicians put the “care” back in healthcare. Digital medicine is on its way to becoming just plain medicine. But who will digitize how we define health and disease? And who will deploy this knowledge to improve the lives of patients that medicine – and digital medicine – exists to serve? Here we define the emerging field of digital medicine and identify the disciplines and skills needed for success. We examine the current and projected skills gaps. We also consider the impact of the culture clash that occurs at the intersection of healthcare and technology, and the lack of diversity in the workforce of both of these fields. We conclude by describing the requirements for the skills pivot needed to ensure that the digital transformation of healthcare is successful: (1) big tent thinking to recognize the critical importance of new technical skills alongside more traditional clinical disciplines, (2) the integration of clinical and technical skill sets within educational curricula, companies, and professional institutions, and (3) a commitment to diversity that goes beyond lip service.
