    The study aimed at revealing the importance of applying modern cost systems and clarifying their role in increasing the competitive advantage of many industrial establishments, and their role in increasing competitive advantage. What is the role of applying the Activity based cost system in support of competitive advantage? The aim of the study was to identify the role of the Activity based cost system in increasing product quality. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant relation between the Activities based cost system and increasing the competitive advantage in the Saudi manufacturing enterprise. The study concluded with several recommendations, including the industrial establishments Saudi Arabia is interested to apply the Activity based cost system because of its active role in increasing the competitive advantage.

  The aim of this study is to highlight the role that management by exception plays in achieving pioneering leadership and the survival and growth of institutions and trying to increase their effectiveness and performance in light of the great challenges they face. The importance of management is characterized by adding value to the institution, creating a competitive advantage, making the institution more flexible, and adopting the forms of coordination, designing and structuring. The problem of the study is represented in this question: is the application of the concept of management by exception leads to entrepreneurial leadership in business organizations? The study   showed that the entrepreneurial leadership has the ability to influence workers and the performance of institutions. Based on the principles and the basis of modern leadership and management, it is possible for organizations to achieve proactive entrepreneurship among other organizations. by applying entrepreneurial leadership and sorting out the appropriate decisions

From the GEM report (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) small and mediumenterprises can contribute 57% to GDP Indonesia, including entrepreneurship. While thephenomenon is still visible weak competitiveness capabilities in which the data fromGlobal Competitiveness Report 2016-2017 rank Indonesia decreased. The number ofentrepreneurs is also relatively small compared to neighboring countries. From theperspective of entrepreneurship spirit is interesting to examine the values of individualentrepreneurs who have an important role to competitiveness. How the role of individualvalues of entrepreneurs in the process of forming competitive advantage that has highcompetitiveness. From the results of research and discussion obtained the conclusion thatthere are 5 individual values of entrepreneurs are important based on the intensity ofentrepreneurial activity. Individual values are integrated in such a way in corporatestrategy that proved to be an important capital that plays a strategic role for the processof achieving competitive advantage and competitiveness of business organizations.

AbstractWe report on the genetic identity of 36 Echinococcus cysts that were collected during a recent slaughterhouse survey of 810 locally bred camels (dromedaries) in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Analysis of a partial nad1 gene sequence showed that the majority (n = 29) belonged to E. granulosus sensu stricto, four to E. canadensis G6/7, and three to E. ortleppi. Eight of the 29 E. granulosus s.s. cysts contained protoscoleces; all other cysts were calcified and non-viable. This is the first report of the presence E. ortleppi from the Arabian Peninsula, a parasite that is typically transmitted via cattle. The results indicate widespread infection of camels with CE in eastern Saudi Arabia and an active role of camels in the lifecycles of at least E. granulosus s.s.. Complete cox1 haplotype analysis of 21 E. granulosus s.s. isolates shows that the majority of variants circulating in eastern Saudi Arabia is distinct from but closely related to haplotypes from neighboring countries in the Middle East, which indicates the presence of this parasite in KSA for a longer period of time. All isolates of E. granulosus s.s. in this study belonged to the G1 cluster, although the G3 genotype has previously also been reported from the Middle East.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is growing into an economic power in the Middle East. However, small- and medium-sized business establishments continue to struggle to break the local market. The challenges faced by the businesses result from the lack of adequate information, poor technological infrastructure, untrained human resource personnel, and consumer behaviors. Entrepreneurial marketing provides an adequate means through which business organizations in Saudi Arabia can build a competitive advantage and penetrate the market more efficiently and effectively. The approach enables value creation, resource manipulation/utilization, opportunity focus, innovation, risk-taking, customer intensity, and proactive practices, allowing businesses to become competitive. The study evaluates the connection between competitive advantage and entrepreneurial marketing, informing business stakeholders and policymakers on the best marketing practices to ensure the success and sustainability of small- and medium-sized firms in Saudi Arabia. The study employed the qualitative approach to facilitate data gathering. The study involved fourteen participants recruited from a WhatsApp group and interviewed over the phone. The study findings established differences from sector to sector in terms of marketing opinions and skill. The subjects identified value creation, resource manipulation/utilization, opportunity focus, innovation, customer intensity, and proactive practices to be critical to building a competitive advantage, with risk-taking considered insignificant. Given the source of challenges facing small and medium organizations in Saudi Arabia, there is a need to ensure education and access to information for SME stakeholders. Similarly, the Saudi government needs to put in place adequate technology infrastructure to facilitate the growth and development of the businesses.

Family businesses are described as organizations owned by one or more members of the same family. Most of the business organizations in the world consists of family firms. However, although they constitute a larger share in almost all of the economies, in their first 5 years of operation, 90% of the family businesses disappear. Of the remaining 10%, 67% die or change ownership after first generation. Only 12% survive under current ownership past the third generation. Therefore, in order to maintain the continuity of the business, family businesses have to achieve competitive advantage. One way to achieve competitive advantage is through becoming market oriented. In this connection, the purpose of this chapter is to identify the role of market orientation and the four basic organizational capabilities (entrepreneurial ability, management ability, global ability, and building partnerships ability) on gaining competitive advantage by systematically reviewing relevant concepts, thereby contributing to the existing literature.

Today globalization turned the world into a global village where event in one region transmits to others almost immediately. Communication technology has played big role and transformed many aspects of business; Internet is one of most important technology which has created e-commerce and a global digital economy with new opportunities. Social media such as websites Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest have already demonstrated their potential for getting information also mobile technology have a lot of potential for gathering information. In spite of environmental turbulence, organizations must effectively depend on scanning environment and useful communication technology for operations and survival. It is crucial for every company to analyze strengths and weaknesses of the internal and external environment to enable the business sustain and growth. Both internal and external environmental scanning is important to be conducted but basically internal scanning will be done first as it will be the ground analysis to determine further direction of an organization. Increasing risk of error, failure to analyze environment included strength and weaknesses internally, opportunities and threats externally, and inefficient of communication technology may resulting to unsustainable the business in long term. Additionally a growing number of companies in Jeddah city led to the business competition between companies that increasingly tight and competitive. This paper sought the place of environmental scanning and role of communication technology as a way for providing information helpfully and as a means of business survival and sustainable competitive advantage. In this study we will focus on Suppliers who deal with sanitary ware (Bathtub) in Jeddah city, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Mostly people in Jeddah City prefer to purchase from various outlets vendors / retailers who are available usually in same area, according to their convenience, preference and selection. Increases in expectations and changing culinary style of consumers make the Sanitary Ware (Bathtub) business dynamic in general. Despite the increasing interest in the area there are very little researches on sustainable competitive advantage of sanitary ware vending service in our domestic market. Keeping these conditions in view, this study tries to explore the current scenario in which Sanitary Ware (Bathtub) has become a flourishing business for a lot of Suppliers as it has been successful in attracting a large mass of customers and projects.This study analyses environmental scanning and communication technology as a gate for sustainable competitive advantage of sanitary ware (Bathtub) in Jeddah city. The data analysis was based on 108 retailers who purchase bathtub sanitary ware from sanitary ware suppliers companies in Jeddah city, the data analysis was based on multivariate statistical techniques encompassing Factor analysis to test reliability, Percentage and frequency, descriptive analysis to describe the sample, multiple linear regressions via using SPSS analysis software. It identifies the most relevant understanding of environmental scanning and role of communication technology as agate for sustainable competitive advantage, and determines their influence in choosing of sanitary ware outlets. The results show that as environmental scanning and communication technologies (independent variables) have a positive influence on sustainable competitive advantage (dependent variable) of bathtub sanitary ware suppliers in Jeddah city.

Background: Pharmacists' traditional position as drug dispensers has recently developed into a more active role in risk evaluation and management. Dispensing is often handled by pharmacy technicians in Saudi Arabia because pharmacists are so preoccupied with their managerial and administrative responsibilities. Pharmacists' meetings with patients are limited to medication dosage and frequency, as well as rare adverse effects and drug interactions. Methods: We conducted a quantitative questionnaire study in Saudi Arabia to look into the role of hospital pharmacists in patient counseling, the assessment of pharmacists' patient counseling opinions, and the possible determinants of personal consultation. Results: The number of patient inquiries was found to be very low, ranging from 5 to 20 per month. The amount of private pharmaceutical consultations was also poor. This finding showed that people trust pharmacists. Conclusion: Reorganizing the pharmacist's operations will help to enhance pharmaceutical consultations. This will help patients make better decisions about their medications and improve their quality of life.
