The oral cavity is a window or mirror to the overall health of the body, and it reveals the early signs and symptoms of systemic diseases. The aim of the study was to assess the dental considerations for visually challenged patients treated in the Special Care Department in a hospital setting. A total of 20 cases were collected from the special care clinic. The data collected were assembled year wise and compiled in excel sheets with age, gender, periodontal status and oral hygiene status. The incomplete cases were removed. Frequency distribution statistical tests were used to calculate the frequency of age, gender, periodontal status and oral hygiene status of visually challenged patients. The comparison of the frequency of age, in visually challenged patients were common in the age group of 30 to 50 years of age. On comparing gender, males 60% were higher than females 40%. On comparing the frequency of periodontal status, it showed more prevalence of Generalized chronic gingivitis 55%, than Localised periodontitis 30% and generalized chronic periodontitis 15%. On comparing dental procedures done, the highest procedure done was restoration 85%. On comparing oral hygiene status, it showed more patients affected with OHI score 3.4 in the age group <35 years. On comparing oral hygiene status with gender, the males have higher prevalence with OHI score 2.5 compared with female 2.0. The conclusion is that males mostly attended to dental problems among visually challenged patients. The age group between 30 to 50 years were affected. The Oral hygiene status of visually challenged patients on calculating OHI scores results fair, and most of them have generalised chronic gingivitis. The common dental procedure done was restoration 85%, extraction 45%, prophylaxis 70% and prosthesis 15%.

Objectives: Karnini Yoni Vyapad which is one among twenty Yoni Vyapads is a common problem of the females in the reproductive age group. Since the symptoms of Karnini Yoni Vyapad as explained in Sam-hitas has got similarity with cervical erosion in modern perspective so it has been taken into consideration in this study. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of the trial drug i.e. Khadiradi Varti in the treatment of cervical erosion. Method: 30 numbers of patients suffering from Karnini Yoni Vyapad (Cervical erosion) were selected from OPD and IPD and were treated with Khadiradi Varti per vaginally following all aseptic measures, once a day preferably at bedtime for 7 consecutive days after completion of menstrual cycle. Such 3 cy-cles were performed for each patient. Result: The trail drug have efficacy in reducing severity of signs and symptoms like degree of cervical erosion (Yoni Karnika), cervical odema (Yoni Soth), discharge per vagina (Yoni Srava), bleed on touch (Rakta Srava) associated with Karnini Yoni Yyapad without having any tox-icity or adverse effect on the body.

Marma are the most important vital points all over the body, explained by Acharya Sushruta, which when get effected leads to severe pain, deformity and sometimes death. One among such Marma is Kurchashira Marma which is said to be situated at the base of the thumb. Acharya has said that, if this Kurchashira Marma gets injured then there will be Ruja and Shopa of Angushta. This can be correlated with the De Quervain tenosynovitis where there will be pain, swelling and restricted range of movement of thumb, fe-males are more affected than males, causes like washerwoman’s, baby takers, maid, sports person, android users. Treatment adopted are NSAID’S, Corticosteroid injection and tendon release surgery. As it consists of its own complications and patient doesn’t feel fully recovered. Agnikarma procedure has been told in the treatment aspects of the pain superior disease, and here a study is made to see effect of Agnikarma in this Marmaghata. Method: In the present study, 30 patients were selected and treated with Agnikarma at the most tender area. Follow up duration was on 7th, 14th& one month. The data obtained were recorded, tabulated and statistically analysed using appropriate statistical methods. Results: After obtaining all the suitable data, the results were formulated by applying suitable statistical tests. And it is found that Ag-nikarma shows tremendous result in treating this disease with full range of movement and patient can easi-ly do his routine work. Interpretation & Calculations: By virtue of its nidana, lakshana and Chikitsa, Kurchashira Marma bears close resemblance to de quervain tenosynovitis and can be tacked on the lines of management as mentioned in classics. It was concluded that Agnikarma has better effects both clinically and statically in reducing the signs and symptoms of Kurchashira Marmaghata.

Background: Chronic renal failure (CRF) or Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an irreversible progressive loss of kidney functions in which, kidney fails to sustain the metabolic waste, fluid and electrolyte balance in the body. The prevalence of chronic renal failure is 15% to 17 % in adult population in many developing countries. Objective: To find out the effectiveness of Self Support Group (SSG) for Chronic Renal Failure patients (CRF) and caregivers on their quality of life (QOL) Methodology: It is a single arm trial, interventional hospital based study. The patients of chronic renal failure of age group 18 to 50 years and caregivers age group above 18 years. Selection of patients and caregivers as per inclusion criteria, detail explanation about nature and purpose of the study, from the subject will be taken before data collection by the investigator after that the formation of groups for chronic renal failure patients and caregivers. Empowerments of the group with knowledge of chronic renal failure and its management, than evaluation quality of life (QOL) for patient and their caregivers with use of QOL scale. The assessments of quality of life for four times, it include day one to three months, six months and nine months respectively. The setting of the study is selected hospitals of Vidarbha Region. Expected Results: Formation of Self Support Group for CRF patients and their caregivers in Hospital Setting Improvement in knowledge regarding CRF of patients and their caregivers Improvement in QOL for both CRF patients and caregivers Conclusion: Conclusion will be drawn from the statistical analysis after completion of data collection.

Background- Electric burns and injuries are the result of electric current passing through the body. Temporary or permanent damage can occur to the skin, tissues, and major organs. Records of the patients admitted from January 2018 to December 2018 were studied. Bed head tickets of the patients evaluated in detail. Results- In our study out of 113 patients maximum no. of patients were in age group of 21-30 years 44 (38.94%) followed by age group <11 years in 21 (18.58%) patients and age group of > 60 years in only 3 (2.65%).39 (34.51%) patients were farmer and 15 (13.27%) were electrician in out of 113 total patients, while 37 (32.74%) were without any occupation. 65 (57.52%) cases of high voltage (HV) electrical injury and 48 (42.48%) cases were of low voltage (LV) electrical injury. Conclusion- Morbidity leading to permanent disabilities make the person physically dependent on others. It can be prevented by educating the people about the proper handling to electric circuits & devices. Proper communication among the electricians may help in lowering such accidents. Proper rehabilitation of the handicapped person & employment to the member of the affected family may reduce the social burden caused by such electricity concerned accidents.

Congenital lumbar hernias are uncommonly seen in the pediatric age group, with only about 60 cases reported in the literature. It is usually accompanied by a multitude of congenital anomalies involving different organ systems of the body. For instance, it may involve the ribs, spine, muscles, and the kidneys. Herein, we report a case of congenital lumbar hernia in an 8-month-old boy who underwent an operative repair using a mesh with an uneventful outcome.

Generally, there is a significant relationship between some acoustic measures (F0 and formant parameters) and the body size of speakers; however, data become less clear when age and sex variables are controlled. To date, no other vocal parameter apart from F0 has been studied in relation to body size. In the present study, correlations between a set of 27 parameters of the Multi-dimensional Voice Program (Kay Elemetrics Corp.) and 4 body measures were obtained from 134 speakers of both sexes belonging to one age group (20–29 years). Correlations within sex groups were null or very weak, and all significant coefficients were below .35.
