The success of innovation for the organization lies not only in the right decision to adopt innovation but more importantly in the implementation of innovation. Although there has been a lot of literature discussing innovation, it is still lacking which addresses the implementation of innovation. The present study aims to contribute to existing implementation literature by, first, the key factors of successful innovation implementation. Second, the process of implementing innovation. Third, the strategic aspect of the implementation of innovation. Fourth, discussing innovations that will be different at several levels or multi levels and types and social networks.   Keywords: organizational innovation

Multichannel integration in retailing is the ability of retailers to combine physical infrastructures (stores) and virtual channels (catalogues, Internet, and mobile shopping) in order to sell and distribute products and the related post-sales services. The purpose of this chapter is to investigate how shoppers perceive three different multichannel integration models in retailing: independent, database, and full-integrated models. The results of a qualitative enquiry and a quantitative survey reveal that when consumers choose among different multichannel retailers, the retailer's brand reputation, the experience with other shopping channels of the same retailer, and the Website design are the most cited factors influencing their purchasing decision. Even though findings disclose that respondents do not perceive multichannel integration as a driver of their shopping choices, the qualitative data indicates the existence of a respondents' attitude towards the multichannel integration, measured in this chapter through an exploratory and a confirmatory factor analysis in the quantitative survey.

This research examines the factors that contribute to the utilization of social media by the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the food industry in Brunei Darussalam. It also investigates how social media provides opportunities to SMEs. This research was done using a quantitative method through primary research that was focused on small and medium-sized food vendors in Brunei Darussalam. Survey questions were distributed to food SMEs and vendors, who use social media to assist them in conducting their business, to serve as a guideline to understand how social media networks can lead to positive business outcomes and how understanding key factors may lead to optimizing product portfolios and to discover new opportunities for their business to expand. Based on the authors' research, cost effectiveness was found to influence social media usage among the small and medium food vendors in Brunei. Factors such as trust, interactivity and compatibility, however were not found to be the factors influencing the utilization of social media.

In urban residential environments in Australia and other developed countries, Internet access is on the verge of becoming a ubiquitous utility like gas or electricity. From an urban sociology and community informatics perspective, this article discusses new emerging social formations of urban residents that are based on networked individualism and the potential of Internet-based systems to support them. It proposes that one of the main reasons for the disappearance or nonexistence of urban residential communities is a lack of appropriate opportunities and instruments to encourage and support local interaction in urban neighborhoods. The article challenges the view that a mere reappropriation of applications used to support dispersed virtual communities is adequate to meet the place and proximity-based design requirements that community networks in urban neighborhoods pose. It argues that the key factors influencing the successful design and uptake of interactive systems to support social networks in urban neighborhoods include the swarming social behavior of urban dwellers; the dynamics of their existing communicative ecology; and the serendipitous, voluntary, and place-based quality of interaction between residents on the basis of choice, like-mindedness, mutual interest and support needs. Drawing on an analysis of these factors, the conceptual design framework of a prototype system — the urban tribe incubator — is presented.

In this paper the authors analyse the conditions of effective communication in the mentoring process. In the literature on the subject effective business communication is considered as a key to planning, leading, organizing and controlling the resources of organizations to achieve their objectives. Still, communication models in the mentoring network have not been of interest to researchers yet. The aim of this study was to identify the factors that influence the effectiveness of communication in the mentoring process. The authors created a theoretical model of communication in the mentoring process which became a basis for primary research conducted among 103 mentors and 119 mentees in Poland. It occurred that the factors influencing the effectiveness of communication in the mentoring process are similar in both groups. Next, the authors incorporated the Exploratory Factor Analysis and Cronbach’s alpha reliability test of different factors influencing the effectiveness of communication in the mentoring process. The results proved that all the developed scales demonstrated reliability above the recommended threshold. The final stage involved developing a regression model which allowed to identify the factors influencing the effectiveness of communication in the mentoring process. Those factors are: non-verbal channels and tools of communication, written and oral channels and tools of communication as well as social engagement in the mentoring process.

The article examines customer behaviour in general and discusses factors determining customer behaviour in car industry. The paper describes a concept of consumer behaviour and the importance of factors influencing the situation. Empirical study about factors determining car industry in consumer-made decisions is carried out. In addition, statistical factor analysis is performed. The key sets of factors helping the user with choosing a new car are identified and analysed at the level of the groups of factors (factor). The conducted analysis shows that car price, ergonomics, image, dynamic and user-friendliness as well as environmental groups are the main points that assist in buying a new car. Santrauka Straipsnyje nagrinėjama vartotojų elgsenos ir veiksnių, lemiančių jų sprendimus lengvųjų automobilių sektoriuje, problema. Aprašyta vartotojų elgsenos samprata ir veiksnių reikšmė formuojant vartotojų elgesį. Atliktas veiksnių, lemiančių lengvųjų automobilių sektoriaus vartotojų sprendimus, empirinis tyrimas. Atlikta faktorinė statistinių duomenų analizė. Remiantis empirinio tyrimo, skirto nustatyti svarbiausias veiksnių grupes, lemiančias vartotojo apsisprendimą pirkti naują automobilį, veiksnių grupių (faktorinės) analizės rezultatais, galima teigti, kad automobilio kaina, ergonomiškumas, įvaizdis, dinamika ir draugiškumas vartotojui bei aplinkai yra pagrindinės veiksnių grupės, lemiančios vartotojo apsisprendimą pirkti naują automobilį.

Many past researches have been carried out in an attempt to continuously understand individuals‟ consumption behaviour. This study was conducted to investigate key factors influencing consumers‟ potential acceptance of halal (or permissible) financial credit card services. Specifically, it anticipated the influence of attitude, social influences and perceived control on consumers‟ behavioural intention to accept such services. In addition, factors such as religiosity and product knowledge were also postulated to affect consumers‟ attitude towards the act of using halal credit cards for any retail or business transactions. Using non-probability sampling approach, a total of 500 survey questionnaires was distributed to targeted respondents in a developing nation but only 220 usable feedbacks were received for subsequent data analysis. Regression results revealed that religiosity and product knowledge significantly influence consumers‟ attitude toward using halal credit card services.  Attitude in turn, subsequently has a significant impact on consumers‟ intention to accept halal financial credit card services. Several theoretical and managerial contributions were observed in this study.

The purpose of this study is to create a new tool capable of diagnosing the severity of internet addiction (IA) and is based on the nine IGD criteria. These same criteria were suggested by the APA in the last edition of the DSM-51. A sample was recruited with a method of convenience and 300+ participants were recruited through different forums and social networks. The construct validity of the IDS9SF test was achieved through factor analysis and nomological validity. The concurrent validity, criterion and reliability of the test itself have been thoroughly investigated through the most common and consolidated data analysis techniques, confirming that the same test has sufficient psychometric properties to be used also in the Italian territory. Furthermore it is necessary to remember that this preliminary research is only valid in the field of data and statistics with all the limitations of the case and cannot be used for a real clinical evaluation.
