In recent years, with the rapid development of the world economy, the environment and resources have been seriously damaged, and the global climate is changing quietly. People began to pay more and more attention to the protection of environment and resources. In the process of building residential buildings, the construction industry also needs to strengthen the application of green building design, so as to achieve the purpose of green environmental protection. The author makes an in-depth research and analysis on the characteristics of green building design, and puts forward the effective strategies for the application of green building design in residential buildings, hoping to help improve the green environmental protection of residential buildings.

<p>Relevant research points out that as one of the lifeblood industries of China’s economic development, the development of construction industry is related to the national economy and people’s livelihood. Therefore, in the new historical period, in order to further realize the rational development of China’s construction industry, a large number of construction industry practitioners have conducted in-depth analysis and exploration on the development direction of China. After analyzing, the researchers said that with the continuous improvement and strengthening of public awareness of environmental protection, in the future, China’s construction industry should focus on energy conservation and environmental protection. Based on this, relevant staff put forward the idea of “green building design”, aiming at effectively guiding China’s construction industry to achieve rational transformation. In this paper, the green building design work is taken as the breakthrough point, and the main problems existing in the green building design work in China in the new period are analyzed reasonably. At the same time, the corresponding optimization strategies are put forward, aiming to guide the construction industry workers to further realize the understanding and understanding of green building design, and then lay the foundation for the development of China’s construction industry.</p>

Therefore, the application of more and more new green building materials has become the key to the sustainable development of the construction industry. In the face of the rapid development of modern construction industry, engineering quality and functional requirements have become the basic requirements, the green environmental protection has become a higher requirement. The application of green environmental protection building materials in engineering construction is the main development direction of the transformation of modern construction industry. At the same time, it conforms to the policy of environmentally sustainable development of all sectors of society, and promotes the construction industry to meet the higher requirements of green environmental protection living environment. This paper studied the performance and waterproof mechanism of a kind of high polymer (HDPE) self-adhered waterproofing membrane and its application in construction. Compared with the traditional waterproofing membrane, the high polymer self-adhered waterproofing membrane can give full play to the advantages of environmental protection on the premise of meeting the building quality.

Green building design refers to reducing the energy consumption of buildings through the use of energy-saving and environmentally-friendly technologies during the design and construction of buildings. The consumption of water resources and electric energy in office buildings is significantly higher than that of ordinary residential buildings, which has a greater impact on the environment during the construction process. Therefore, the use of green building design in the design of office buildings plays an important role in reducing building energy consumption. With the accelerating urbanization process and the development of the construction industry, the role of green building design in architectural design is constantly reflected. The comprehensive implementation of green building is an important measure to promote China's energy-saving emission reduction and low-carbon city strategy. However, there are relatively few cases in which green building design is applied to super high-rise civil buildings, and in-depth research and data analysis must be carried out. The design points in green super high-rise civil buildings in Huangshan area were briefly summarized, and the actual cases of a green super high-rise civil building design in Huangshan City were analyzed, which is conducive to laying the foundation for the application of green building design to super high-rise civil buildings.
