Current research is a historic and pedagogical study. It uncovers the problem of aesthetic education in the context of such a meaningful phenomenon of the education of the late 19th century and the early 20th century as pedagogical congresses. The study has proved that the issues of the aesthetic education were considered during almost every pedagogical congress from 1862 till 1919. This type of education was recognized as the necessary part of comprehensive and harmonious development of the child’s personality. Under different political conditions aesthetic education was discussed during the pedagogical congresses either as a separate issue or as an element of other types of education: labor, ethical, national and even physical ones. The main methods and means of the aesthetic education considered by the participants of the pedagogical congresses were the following ones: familiarizing with the works of the prominent foreign and national authors, excursions, getting to know the native land, national traditions, creative labor, different forms of recreation and entertainment, art and musical events, taking care of your appearance. For supporting pedagogical councils, the delegates of the congresses suggested to create aesthetic committees and professional councils. To cut the long story short, the participants of the pedagogical congresses were very attentive to the issues of the aesthetic education and considered it as one of the necessary elements of harmonious development of the personality What remained uncovered was the degree of implementation of the solutions and recommendations of the participants of the pedagogical congresses in the educational process of the schools, namely, what ideas were introduced and what left just on the paper.

Subject. The article considers the effectiveness of interaction between the healthcare system and the socio-economic system of the region. Objectives. Our aim is to propose a model for harmonious development of regional health services. Methods. To construct the model, we employ methods of statistical, systems, comparative analysis, methods of economic and mathematical modeling. To achieve the harmonious development of regional healthcare, the model components are built on the basis of the ‘golden section’ proportions. Results. We tested our methodology, using the case of the Sverdlovsk Oblast healthcare. The paper shows possibilities of effective interaction between the two systems, offers methodological approaches to assessing the level of public funding of regional healthcare and effectiveness of voluntary health insurance. Based on statistical data, we obtained good results. They demonstrate that in our model we achieved planned proportions in terms of levels of funding, public-private partnership development, voluntary medical insurance, medical tourism, innovative development of industry. Conclusions. Our methodological approaches, the model of harmonious development of regional healthcare are universal and can be applied at the level of subjects of the Russian Federation.

Throughout her famously short, disrupted career, Katherine Mansfield chased the idea of "warm, eager living life,"attempting to translate this vivid experience of being in the world into fiction. This passage, written in late 1922, shows the author focusing on her fascination with vivid, personal interaction with the material world. Mansfield convinces herself that the pursuit of "warm, eager living life" and the experience of submerging herself in it - "to be rooted in life" - is what she must strive for once she regains her health. Unfortunately, Mansfield's health declined steadily after this passage was written, and she died at the Institute for the Harmonious Development of Man in Fontainebleau on the 9th of January, 1923. In addition to various personal possessions, Mansfield left behind a host of written material: personal letters, journal entries and jottings, drafts of stories and poems, and published volumes, which document her attempts at submerging herself in a vividly experienced life. Her stories full of characters self-consciously attempting to anchor their vague and variable identities in the material world, graphic sensory detail, and ambiguous imagery register Mansfield's determination to describe exquisite, sensible life. Throughout the writing, she displays a keen interest in and fixation on the material world. Mansfield's colonial childhood, her preference for luxury, her feelings of disunity and dividedness, and the fleetingness of her life made more poignant by various levels and types of consumption inform her piercing awareness of the material world. Critical attention to the materiality of Mansfield's writing highlights that this writer, so determined to be "rooted in life," documents everywhere the frail but persistent efforts of characters to find substance in the ephemeral and attach changeable selves to things.
