Pasien dengan gangguan konsep diri : Harga diri rendah cenderung memiliki perasaan yang negative terhadap diri sendiri sehingga pasien cenderung mengalami kurangnya percaya diri, merasa diri tidak berguna dan merasa selalu gagal dalam mencapai keinginannya. Terapi latihan kemampuan positif dilakukan untuk menggali asfek-asfek positif yang sebenarnya dimiliki oleh pasien, sehingga pasien tumbuh perasaan bahwa dirinya berguna dan mampu menjadi individu yang lebih baik lagi. Terapi latihan kemmapuan positif ini merupakan bagian dari terapi generalis untuk HDR. Studi kasus ini menggunakan metode Case Study dengan pendekatan proses asuhan keperawatan. Sampel yang digunakan pada studi kasus adalah pasien dengan gangguan konsep diri: Harga Diri Rendah yang berjumlah 2 orang. Studi kasus dilakukan di ruang Arimbi RSJ Amino Gondohutomo Semarang pada bulan Februari 2020. Alat pengumpulan data dengan pengkajian, lembar kuesioner Sorensen self-esteem, dan lembar jadwal kegiatan pasien. Hasil studi kasus menunjukkan bahwa pasien mengalami peningkatan harga diri setelah dilakukan latihan kemampuan positif. Latihan kemampuan positif mampu meningkatkan harga diri pasien yang mengalami gangguan konsep diri harga diri rendah.

Self-stigma experienced by people who experience schizophrenia has influence on reduced self-esteem, on powerlessness, the weakening of hope, and a motivation towards recovery. The aim of this study is to explain the efforts of people suffering schizophrenia to manage their self-stigma through self-control, using a case study approach. Based on the purposive sampling technique, five people with schizophrenia were selected as the cases to be studied. Data collection techniques utilized in-depth interviews, observation, and documentary studies. The analysis of the study data employed the stages of data reduction, data display, and data verification. Improvement in study quality employed the triangulation of data sources by checking the data to determine its consistency. The results of this study indicate that people with schizophrenia who have the ability to self-control can overcome self-stigma through changes in the manner of viewing themselves, self-training through activities, having endurance, having an honest approach, being able to explain schizophrenia from a positive viewpoint, having initiative, and having a positive attitude and the courage to face challenges.

It has been said before that “No one forgives with more grace and love than a child”. And also no one can compete the child with his outstanding memory which can’t forget deep injuries during childhood, especially when these multiple abuses come from his/her parents and other relatives. Being physically abused, emotionally abused, and neglected from her biological parents and sexually abused from one of her relatives, this 25 years old female, who is a student in the university, suffers from severe depression and very low level of self-esteem. The current research aims at decreasing the client’s depression and improving her self-esteem through case study techniques, assessing her needs, fears, deep feelings and behavior using a variety of methods, including projective tests, life history, interviews and direct observation of her behavior. The researcher will attempt to help this female using the techniques of the “Forgiveness Therapy” which is described by a number of clinicians and researchers as a promising approach to anger-reduction, depression healing and the restoration of general emotional and mental health. This article is about community mobilization in microcredit as a tool of women empowerment. It argues that women empowerment is a process and community mobilization is a tool for women empowerment process through micro-credit programs. This article is based on the views of selected key informants’ information through participant observation and a case study at Mahadevsthan Village in Dhading. Three local NGO managers and their three beneficiaries were conveniently selected for the sampling purpose. The main argument of the article shows that most of the females who received microcredit finally got socio-economic empowerment through acquiring access to capital, control over resources, self-esteem, confidence, decision-making power.

Introduction: This case report describes compensatory orthodontic treatment in a young patient aged 13 years. She presented with a class III skeletal malocclusion associated with mandibular laterognathy. The patient's main reason for consultation was the anterior cross bite and the aesthetics of her smile.Materials and Methods: The chosen treatment was therefore an orthodontic camouflage with the extraction of the first mandibular premolars and the second maxillary premolars, in order to catch a correct anterior articular and restore a good occlusal relationship, however, the mandibular laterognathy was camouflaged by means of dental compensations and also by correcting the deviation of the incisors medians through a class III mechanics with good anchorage management.Results: After 24 months of treatment, an ideal overjet and overbite associated with a Class I canine and molar relationship, was obtained, associated with a perfect coincidence of the interincisor medians.Conclusion: Class III skeletal cases can often be treated either by orthodontic camouflage or surgery. In our case study, the treatment adopted was orthodontic camouflage with extractions. The results of the treatment were satisfactory and the occlusal objectives were achieved. The final harmonious smile pleased the patient and improved her self-esteem and quality of life.

The objective of this case study, was to understand the effect of the discovery of the inner child in the conjugal relationship of the participants of the Course: TRA: Capacitation in Techniques of Self-Esteem Rescue - Caring for the Caregiver. This is a case study of a couple evaluated through an interview, carried out after the experience of the inner child rescue at the beginning of the course, recordings of the experience sharing and the register of observations in the researcher's notebook. To analyze the opinions collected, the methodology used was discourse analysis. The results showed a greater awareness of the interference of the inner child in the conjugal relationship and the need to be more attentive to its manifestations to avoid future conflicts. Therefore, the Care for the Caregiver course offered a learning space for the inner child and self-care, as well as a way to learn how to care for the other.

This study examines the comparison between English Department students’ emotional intelligence (EQ), their self-esteem and their academic achievement. Twenty-two students participated in the research by answering EQ test and two Self-Esteem questionnaires. The result shows that there is no relation between students’ GPA and their self-esteem and EQ. This means that academic ability does not correspond to social skills. Though most students have average EQ and self-esteem, one student has High EQ, High Self-esteem and a 2.95 GPA (out of 4).

This article aims to discuss the determinants of digital active citizenship behaviors such as the e-participation using reporting urban apps. The article makes a comparative analysis between two groups of citizens: a) 98 users of a reporting app (MyHomeCity) who were selected for the case study); and b) 148 non-users of reporting apps. Users of MyHomeCity revealed higher scores for the satisfaction for life in the city, self-esteem, self-efficacy, and perceived happiness, for all place attachment dimensions and all digital citizenship dimensions except for political activism (online and offline) and critical perspective. The probability of being an app user is predicted by satisfaction for living in the city, place identity (attachment), and digital citizenship dimensions. The implications for public decision makers, app developers, and citizens' organizations are discussed.

AbstractCommunity Orientated and Opportunity Learning (COOL) Music was a 12-month collaborative project between researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University and practitioners at the Edinburgh-based social enterprise Heavy Sound. The project began in October 2017 and involved 16 sessions of participatory music making with 32 ‘hard-to-reach’ young people (aged 12–17) aimed at increasing confidence and self-esteem and improving social skills. Using COOL Music as a case study, this article explores some of the challenges faced by community-based arts organisations tasked with delivering such interventions, contrasting COOL Music’s small-scale, targeted, community-based approach with prevailing top-down music interventions in Scotland. We argue that such programmes are particularly suitable in engaging those at the margins of society, reaching them on their own terms through music that resonates with their own lived experience. However, we acknowledge the short-term and transitory nature of such projects may prove problematic for some hard-to-reach groups who require more stability in their lives and may also lead to staff fatigue and burnout. We call for further research in these areas, and greater policy attention to be paid to the sustainability of such projects.
