The focus of the paper is gamification, which has been researched typically through its’ implementation in the business sector. Our research follows the implementation of gamification in Higher Educational Institutions, since the same concepts and benefits that function in the workplace, should function with similar effect or yield even better results with students. The topic of gamification in education is a relatively novel one, with only a few papers addressing it in detail, especially on the Balkan region. The contribution of the paper is two-sided, i.e., through primary and secondary research, recommendations for optimal ways of implementing gamified systems in higher education is given, and according to the obtained data, present statistics and implications for implementing gamification in HEIs in the Republic of Macedonia. The core elements and mechanics of gamification are researched and adjusted in the context of education, as well as improving existing implementations of gamification in HEIs through the introduction of cycles of interest (rewards for encouraging a certain type of behavior of students) and cycles of progression (a stepwise increase in the weight of the activities).            The results of the primary research demonstrate that the concept of gamification offers great potential advantages for students and teaching staff, primarily by increasing the level of intrinsic motivation and the degree of completion of subjects. The paper uncovers the gamification mechanics and elements that would work best for HEIs in Macedonia, as well as outline the biggest motivational problems students have when navigating through the educational process. Through the primary research conducted, the first public available information on the introduction of gamification in higher education in the Republic of Macedonia is made available.

The article is devoted to the development of higher education system in the interests of modernization of the country´s economy. The author considers the negative trends affecting the development of the national economy, in particular, unfavorable demographic situation, labour aging. The article shows a well-established model of the educational process, which cannot be used without change in these circumstances. The author presents the renovated model and technology of the learning process of higher education experts, which should be action-oriented and remain professional, and analyzes the necessary conditions for the implementation of the proposed model. An important feature of training in the intensive growth of the economy should be the cooperation of the teaching staff of educational institutions with technical staff, experts of enterprises and organizations - consumers of prepared graduates. Today employers´ requirements to future specialists are increasing. This makes it necessary to improve the quality of interaction between educational institutions and industrial organizations. The author recommends to extend the information communications of educational institutions with interacting companies and organizations, and offers some ways to improve the quality of training specialist through direct interaction with employers and changes in the system of relations between teacher and student.

The relevance of modernization process of professional training of future academic staff of higher educational institutions consists of a comprehensive update of the system of professional training of teachers and academic staff. These processes are focused on a scientifically and practically oriented improvement of the educational process. As well as professional and pedagogical interaction of its participants in the educational and professional environment. Theoretical and methodological foundations of increasing the professional training of teachers of higher schools in the conditions of master programmes are grounded; the author’s concept of improving the professional training of teachers of higher schools in the conditions of these programmes is formulated and tested; substantiated the content of the modernization of professional training of teachers of higher education; affordable author's model of modernized professional training of higher education teaching staff in the conditions of a master programmes. Experimentally verified effectiveness of the proposed scientific and methodological support for the professional training of teachers of higher educational institutions.

The authors of the paper have developed and proposed the structure of the educational program service (hereinafter referred to as the “EPS”) during the transition of the educational process in 2019-2020 to a new level (training is currently taking place both offline and online). The use of this system implies an increase in labor protection for EPS employees, the quality of the educational process in educational institutions of higher education (hereinafter referred to as the “Educational organizations”), simplification of work for the teaching staff, which should be consolidated at the state level. The necessity of using this structure in educational institutions of higher education has been substantiated; the concepts and principles of EPS work have been proposed. The authors of the study propose to provide for this structure both at the federal and at the local levels, thereby carrying out labor and legal protection of EPS employees.

This article shows the main directions of improving higher education in the Republic of Uzbekistan in the context of the formation of the digital economy. The authors' research is based on real examples of the Tashkent State Economic University. The article proves that the digital transformation and change in the methods and means of teaching students and undergraduates in the context of the pandemic caused by the spread of COVID 19 infection require new technological approaches to teaching and managing the university from the teaching staff and university administration. In this article, the authors conclude that digital technologies individualize the educational process, diversify, develop students' independence, and develop creative thinking skills. Thus, the quality of education improves, and it is not only about the full and high-quality fulfillment of the requirements of the curriculum: classes begin to meet the personal interests and needs of students and undergraduates, which is undoubtedly an additional incentive to master the educational material. Thus, modern technological solutions based on the latest digital technologies contribute to an increase in the efficiency and quality of the educational process in a higher educational institution.

It is shown that information technologies largely determine the nature and direction of higher education, and their active implementation in the educational process contributes to effective training of future competitive professionals. The main aspects of solving the problem of informatization are considered: computerization of educational institutions and acquisition of information and communication competencies by research and teaching staff of universities.

The current educational system has to prepare the students for professions which should develop tomorrow. The key role of education at this moment in time ought to be the ability to predict the changes and to adapt to them successfully. The final resultant of the educational process is the acquisition of skills which will enable the pupils or students to adapt to the labour market quickly and easily. The connection of education with the labour market is the principal aim of the economy being based on knowledge.In this paper, we make an effort to create an analytic framework for the representation of the educational profiles at the labour market in the Republic of Macedonia. The data contained in the analysis points out to the fact that out of the total number of employees according to their education in the period of 2001-2012, the biggest per cent of employees belongs to the ones with secondary education (three-year and four-year secondary education). In 2001, this percentile participation was 49.6% whereas in 2012, this per cent increased to 53.6%. The second position is being taken up by the employees with primary and lower secondary education (25.42% in 2001). However, as a result of the fact the employment rate had been reducing year by year, in 2012, it was 18.53%. The employees with university education are taking up the third position. In 2001, the percentile participation of employees with university education was 10.53% whereas in 2012, it was 21.6%. This trend is due to the dispersed studies in a large number of towns in the Republic of Macedonia, which have led to increase in the number of graduates. Having in mind this analysis, the public educational institutions are facing the challenge to alter their current structure, to bring about a new structural change and to develop an organizational structure which will be compatible with the general changes at the labour market.

Improving health in an educational environment allows to gain greater control over the health of students. It includes a wide range of educational and methodological activities aimed at protecting and improving the health of subjects of the educational process and improving their quality of life through the correct organization of the educational environment, and not only prevention and correction. This policy should be supported by an appropriate regulatory framework that combines the stimulation of experience and knowledge based on high-quality evidence-based information, verified health evidence, develops intellectual assets and applies ethical standards in the practice of maintaining the health of students at the university. Partnerships between public health services of the Republic of Kazakhstan and higher educational institutions are obliged to identify and share responsibility for the health of the student community and solve problems that contribute to the development of key tasks in the field of protection and preservation of public health, requiring additional efforts and mobilization of resources of the higher education system. At the republican level the functions of monitoring public health risk factors in the conditions of training students in higher education are carried out. Scientific research in the field of public health, including measures to promote healthy lifestyles, makes it possible to predict their dynamics and assess the effectiveness and quality of educational services and implementation programs for the preservation of public health. The activities of higher educational institutions in the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered from the point of view of health as the main value. A healthy student community and its well-being are based on the consolidation of efforts and available methods of preserving and developing the health of future professionals.

The article analyzes the existing definitions of effectiveness in the context of higher education, both those provided by the English dictionary, and domestic and foreign researchers, based on which the types of effectiveness are grouped. In addition, this article shows the differences between given definitions – efficiency and effectiveness. Also, the article indicates some areas of reforming higher education, both domestic and foreign experience. According to the author and reviewed literature, there should be a motivational system for the teaching staff in university, which should not be formal. In addition, author compares numbers of the higher-educational institutions in Ukraine and some other European countries – such as Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Hungary and Poland and analysed its effectiveness. Ukraine has a large number of universities, around 281. The lagers numbers have only Poland and Germany. The effectiveness of higher-educational universities is being varied from its scientific activities. In addition, approaches to assessing the activities of higher educational institutions in the "TOP-200 Ukraine" and foreign rankings, in particular, uniRank, QS, NatureIndex, have been analyzed. For example, uniRank ranking system refers to Ukrainian Higher Education-related Organizations those, which is not related to a higher-educational process, such as Ministry of a Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Culture, but does not refer National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, which gives an accreditation to an educational programs of Hugher Education Universities. The orientation of these ratings to the scientific process is revealed, without focusing on student-centrism and education. In the author’s opinion, there should be criteria, which shows the feedback from the students about educational process and which reveals the quality of educational process. The substantiation of the possibilities for improving the efficiency of Ukrainian higher educational institutions with an orientation on student-centrism is provided.

The main direction of the educational process is to develop the education system in accordance with the strategic directions of social and economic development of the republic, integrating it into the world educational space, preserving its national essence through the use of national customs and traditions, as well as cultural values, creating conditions for the formation of a personality in the national spirit, development of a high level of outlook and creative potential of the personality, cognitive competences. The implementation of these tasks requires a review of the content of the educational process in the country's schools from a new methodological standpoint, based on the use of elements of national customs and traditions. Such a new methodological system shows the need for radical changes in the traditional educational process, the development of a creative approach to teaching, and the updating of the content of education on a national basis.In the modern period of the development of society in the educational process of educational institutions the principle of education is implemented, taking into account the comprehensive development of students, such a system of education and upbringing provides an opportunity for the formation of cultural and ethnic identity, it is aimed at an in-depth study of the spiritual culture of the people and the ability to connect it with modern values. This system of education and training is based on the link between national customs and traditions (customs and traditions related to children's upbringing, household customs and traditions, social customs and traditions) and the educational process.
