The study aims to investigate for the first time library staff's individual perceptions of their work environment with regard to creativity. It uses the conceptual model designed by Amabile et al. (1996) as a framework in order to establish to what extent the internal climate factors that are conducive or deterrent to creativity are identified by library staff in one UK Public Library service. This research is based on a case study and can constitute a benchmark for other library services. The ability to develop a culture that nurtures creativity is crucial and does not occur spontaneously: library managers need to take responsibility to establish the right work environment as well as to incorporate an innovation strategy for the new ideas to be implemented into value-added services for the library users.

The maker movement has found a home in public libraries. Field leaders including public libraries in Chicago, Chattanooga, Houston, Louisville, and Toronto have built robust makerspaces, developed maker programming for a diverse range of patrons, connected community experts with library users for the purpose of sharing information, and fostered communities of practice. Characterized by open exploration, intrinsic interest, and creative ideation, the maker movement can be broadly defined as participation in the creative production of physical and digital artifacts in people’s day-to-day lives. The maker movement employs a do-it-yourself orientation toward a range of disciplines, including robotics, woodworking, textiles, and electronics. But the maker ethos also includes a do-it-with-others approach, valuing collaboration, distributed expertise, and open workspaces. To many in the library profession, the values ingrained in the maker movement seem to be shared with the aims and goals of public libraries. However, critiques of the maker movement raise questions about current iterations of makerspaces across settings. This article highlights critiques and responses regarding the “democratic” nature of the maker movement, and in particular, the article analyzes ways librarians involved in a prominent public library maker program discursively construct making and maker programming in relation to the maker movement more generally.

Laburpena: Zalantzarik gabekoa da atseden egokiak eragin positiboa duela gure eguneroko bizitzan. Lan-giroa, batzuetan, estresa, urduritasuna eragiten duten fokuetako bat izan daiteke eta, azken finean, langileen osasunean eragina izan dezake. Patologia hori agerian uzteko moduetako bat teknologien eraginpean gehiegi jartzea izan daiteke, "technoestrés" bezala ere ezaguna. Horren adibidea hauxe dugu: enplegatzaileak langileei atseden-orduetan, baimenetan edo oporretan igortzen dizkien deiak, mezu elektronikoak eta mezuak. Abenduaren 5eko 3/2018 Legeak lehenengo aldiz arautu du gure herrialdean deskonexio digitalerako eskubidea. Aipatu eskubidea langile publikoei aplikatzen zaie, eta Langile Publikoen Oinarrizko Estatutuan ere aldaketaren bat eragin du. Azterlan honetan, deskonexio digitalerako eskubidea aztertuko dut; izan ere, eskubide hori eremu pribatuan nola Administrazio Publikoan zerbitzua ematen duten langileei dagokie. Abstrac: It is an unquestionable fact that adequate rest has a positive impact on our daily life. The work environment can sometimes be one of the sources of stress, nervousness and, ultimately, can affect the health of workers. One of the ways in which this pathology manifests may come hand in hand with overexposure to technologies, also known as "techno-stress". This can be caused by the calls, emails and messages that the employer sends to the worker during their rest hours, permits or vacations. The recent Law 3/2018, of December 5, regulates for the first time in our country the right to digital disconnection. In the present study I will analyze the right to digital disconnection, applicable both for workers who provide their services in the private sphere and in the Public Administration.

Purpose – The purpose of this article is to report on a research project that explored social media best practice in the public library sector. Design/methodology/approach – The primary research approach for the project was case study. Two organisations participated in case studies that involved interviews, document analysis, and social media observation. Findings – The two case study organisations use social media effectively to facilitate participatory networks, however, there have been challenges surrounding its implementation in both organisations. Challenges include negotiating requirements of governing bodies and broader organisational environments, and managing staff reluctance around the implementations. As social media use continues to grow and libraries continue to take up new platforms, social media must be considered to be another service point of the virtual branch, and indeed, for the library service as a whole. This acceptance of social media as being core business is critical to the successful implementation of social media based activities. Practical implications – The article provides an empirically grounded discussion of best practice and the conditions that support it. The findings are relevant for information organisations across all sectors and could inform the development of policy and practice in other organisations. This paper contributes to the broader dialogue around best practice in participatory service delivery and social media use in library and information organisations. Originality/value – Research around social media has focused on the usage of tools rather than the conditions that allow staff to use social media to reach users effectively. This research fills the gap by exploring the organisational culture that allows staff to use social media in order to develop a participatory library service.

This paper uses transaction log data to examine how library users interact with two social discovery systems used in two Canadian public library systems. Results indicate that user-generated content is not used extensively or significantly in the two social discovery systems. Format is the predominant facet used to refine searches; the remaining facets are significantly underrepresented. The development of industry, continuous innovation and shortening production times and demands from customers to deliver products in the right quantities, at the right time, at the right price and with better quality have led to increased competitive pressures. These visions have created risks and disruptions in the supply chain. This could compromise the achievement of the targeted objectives as well as the continuity of the operating cycle, or even the sustainability of the company. Consequently, it is recommended to identify, upstream, any incident having an impact on the company's functional capacities. It is only by controlling these risks that manufacturers can guarantee the smooth running of their logistics activities, the objective of this work. This work is clearly based on the identification and evaluation of risks in an emerging economy through a qualitative approach based on interviews and a questionnaire with purchasing and distribution managers. The results displayed allow managers to refocus on the priorities to be solved in order to design viable and livable organizations, or even to act effectively to correct the errors that have been revealed or to continue and increase its development. As a case study we chose the pharmaceutical sector in the Constantine region. This is the first time this type of study has been done in Algeria.

After the Congress of Berlin in 1878, in Bosnia and Hercegovina we saw big changes. The Austrian government was building roads, and railroad tracks. In the Austro-Hungarian period, also they changed their architectural style; from the prevailing ottoman one to more like in Vienna or Prague. This situation was a short time, in live only one generation. These changes affected to life and behavior of Bosnia and Hercegovinas’ citizens. Was changed several people, because after the Austrian arrive, a lot of Muslims Bosniacs, and Turks, were left this part. There were elites in this place. Their positions, how “new elites” take people which they came from different part of the Habsburg Monarchy; Hungarians, Germans, Poles, Czechs, etc. They were taking new ideas, how feminism. The emancipation of women was something new in these places. The first woman, which was proclaiming the slogans, as teachers. On the article we can show two examples; Jelica Belović-Bernadzikowska, and Jagoda Truhelka. They were born in Osijek, from giving Bosnian part ideas, that girl needs to will independent and need to have good graduated. These modern ideas, supported, in a way, the government because in the country was a school program for girls. Austro-Hungarian politics was building a school for girls, and take some scholarship went girl studied in University, how Marija Bergman, born in Bosnia, daughter of some Jews officials. However teachers not only modern women, similar roles had women-doctors. Girls who graduated Faculty of Medicine, arrive in Bosnia and Hercegovina and help Muslim women. Poles Teodora Krajewska and Czechs Anna Bayerova also take ideas of feminism, but, most important that she was great respect between patience. Propagating the feministic ideas was thinking which affect all women. Most important was not only slogans but also changes in everyday life normal family in Bosnia and Hercegovina. The other day only men can work on the farmland or work. After the Congress of Berlin situations was changed. On the consequences, women must be going to work, often how a worker in fabric. Work was hard, but women first time have their cash. Automatically her position in society was better. These situations have consequences for the city, as like villages. We sow this situation in the book Vere Ehrlich, which researched this topic in the interwar period. Naturally, their life was always difficult, but the new government also got assistance.
