Based on the analysis of transformations of the technical reality of the last century related to the development of computers and digital technologies, the article discusses the processes of digitalization and digital transformations. It has been established that digitalization can be understood as the process of creating, through digital technologies, a specific real or virtual digital product with information, communication, production, economic and other purposes. It is noted that the digitalization process leads to digital transformations – processes of a qualitative change in the structural elements of reality associated with the development and use of digital technologies and digital products. The study also establishes that digitalization processes, due to the advent of computer devices and digital technologies, are transforming technical reality.

The value of a digital product diminishes because of the changing needs of consumers over time. To maintain the value of products, digital product firms sequentially launch upgraded versions of existing products. Therefore, a critical challenge faced by these firms is to determine the timing of launching upgrades. In this study, we develop an analytical model that incorporates needs variation and a product diffusion process in a sequential launching context. The comprehensive model considers two types of transition strategies (i.e., older generations are gradually phased out or totally replaced). We investigate the optimal launching timing of new product generation by conducting several computational experiments. Under total replacement, an astute manager will launch the upgrade when the existing version has reached the maturity stage. However, phase-out transition, the new upgrade, will be launched now or never according to the rate of needs variation. This study bridges the gap between the knowledge on the launching timing of digital products and the volatility of consumer valuation.

The outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic has caused a huge impact on the global economy. Great changes have taken place in people’s consumption patterns. In order to explore the changes of people’s consumption concept in the post epidemic era, and the impact of these changes on digital products, this paper analyzes the changes of consumption concept from different life scenes such as life, work, learning, entertainment. Then, the article summarizes the development trend of digital products in the post epidemic era. Finally, the key points of future digital product design are put forward.

ABSTRACT The binding of the prereplication complex proteins Orc1, Orc2, Mcm3, Mcm7, and Cdc6 and the novel DNA unwinding element (DUE) binding protein DUE-B to the endogenous human c-myc replicator was studied by chromatin immunoprecipitation. In G1-arrested HeLa cells, Mcm3, Mcm7, and DUE-B were prominent near the DUE, while Orc1 and Orc2 were least abundant near the DUE and more abundant at flanking sites. Cdc6 binding mirrored that of Orc2 in G1-arrested cells but decreased in asynchronous or M-phase cells. Similarly, the signals from Orc1, Mcm3, and Mcm7 were at background levels in cells arrested in M phase, whereas Orc2 retained the distribution seen in G1-phase cells. Previously shown to cause histone hyperacetylation and delocalization of replication initiation, trichostatin A treatment of cells led to a parallel qualitative change in the distribution of Mcm3, but not Orc2, across the c-myc replicator. Orc2, Mcm3, and DUE-B were also bound at an ectopic c-myc replicator, where deletion of sequences essential for origin activity was associated with the loss of DUE-B binding or the alteration of chromatin structure and loss of Mcm3 binding. These results show that proteins implicated in replication initiation are selectively and differentially bound across the c-myc replicator, dependent on discrete structural elements in DNA or chromatin.

Networked digital technologies have transformed crime to a point that ‘cybercrime’ is here to stay. In the future, society will be forced to respond to a broad variety of networked crimes that will increase both the complexity of crime investigation and prevention, whilst also deepening the regulative challenges. As cybercrime has become an inescapable feature of the Internet landscape, constructive management and system development to mitigate cybercrime threats and harms are imperatives. This chapter explores the changing cybersecurity threat landscape and its implications for regulation and policing. It considers how networked and digital technologies have affected society and crime; it identifies how the cybersecurity threat and crime landscape have changed and considers how digital technologies affect our ability to regulate them. It also suggests how we might understand cybercrime before outlining both the technological developments that will drive future cybercrime and also the consequences of failing to respond to those changes.

<abstract><p>Given two digital images $ (X_i, k_i), i \in \{1, 2\} $, first of all we establish a new $ PN_k $-adjacency relation in a digital product $ X_1 \times X_2 $ to obtain a relation set $ (X_1 \times X_2, PN_k) $, where the term $ ''$$ PN $" means $ ''$pseudo-normal". Indeed, a $ PN $-$ k $-adjacency is softer or broader than a normal $ k $-adjacency. Next, the present paper initially develops both the notion of $ PN $-$ k $-continuity and a $ PN $-$ k $-isomorphism. Furthermore, it proves that these new concepts, the $ PN $-$ k $-continuity and a $ PN $-$ k $-isomorphism, need not be equal to the typical $ k $-continuity and a $ k $-isomorphism, respectively. Precisely, we prove that none of the typical $ k $-continuity (<italic>resp.</italic> typical $ k $-isomorphism) and the $ PN $-$ k $-continuity (<italic>resp.</italic> $ PN $-$ k $-isomorphism) implies the other. Then we prove that for each $ i \in \{1, 2\} $, the typical projection map $ P_i: X_1 \times X_2 \to X_i $ preserves a $ PN_k $-adjacency relation in $ X_1 \times X_2 $ to the $ k_i $-adjacency relation in $ (X_i, k_i) $. In particular, using a $ PN $-$ k $-isomorphism, we can classify digital products with $ PN_k $-adjacencies. Furthermore, in the category of digital products with $ PN_k $-adjacencies and $ PN $-$ k $-continuous maps between two digital products with $ PN_k $-adjacencies, denoted by $ DTC_k^\blacktriangle $, we finally study the (almost) fixed point property of $ (X_1 \times X_2, PN_k) $.</p></abstract>

The paper performs the results of analysis due to the problem of categorization and classification of digital economy in order to assess its contribution to economic growth. The evolution of approaches to understanding the concept of digital economy is noted – evolution from Internet economy to perception of digital technologies as a factor in any economic activity. We analyzed one of the models categorizing digital economy, based on assessing the need for the use of digital technologies (it includes three categories – the ICT sector, the digital economy itself, the digitalized economy), and also indicated the shortcomings of the concept, in particular, impossibility to reliably determine the critical need of using digital technologies for different types of economic activity, thus they fall into related categories according to the classification. In addition, the paper analyzes the possibility of classifying the digital economy as a knowledge economy for further more accurate definition and categorization of "digital economy" concept. Based on the results of the analysis, key features of digital economy were identified for the further development of updated concept of digital economy and possibility of optimal categorization during further research. These features include science intensity, which is, among other things, cause existing difficulties in categorizing economic sectors and attributing them to the digital sector due to the diffusion of knowledge (and specifically digital technologies as the final result of knowledge accumulation), as well as their extensive penetration into most economic processes. As a result, it is necessary to develop a toolkit that can quantify the value of science intensity (manufacturability) of a particular sector of the economy in order to most accurately categorize and assess the contribution of the digital economy to economic growth. The second key feature of the digital economy is the reduction of transaction costs of interaction between economic agents (based on the concept of horizontal, vertical and diagonal costs by J. Commons) as a result of using digital products.

The article summarizes the areas of research on the integration of digitalization of the economy and education with the areas of business leadership and national security. The main purpose of the study is to determine the contextual characteristics that accompany the development of digitalization of the economy and digitalization of education and their impact on business development and the formation of national security. Existing theoretical and empirical research demonstrates meaningful links between the digitalization of education and the economy, business leadership and national security. The analysis showed that scientific interest in studying the digitalization of education and the economy continues to grow at the present stage, while research on national security and business leadership is currently declining. Bibliometric analysis shows that the relationship between the digitalization of the economy and education with business leadership can be traced in functional areas. On the other hand, the impact of the digitalization of the economy and education on national security can be identified by structural components. One should note that the evolution of scientific research is characterized by the transition from the study of individual structural elements and the penetration of digital technologies into the economy to identify areas for efficiency through digital and information technology. The analysis results provide a scientific basis for further research on key determinants of the effectiveness of the implementation of digital technologies in the economy and education, as well as the study of national security.

Modern operation conditions of the market of non-bank financial services in Ukraine require the search for unconventional forms of innovation development and the need to implement information systems and digital technologies. This corresponds to the provisions of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU, the Comprehensive Program for the Development of the Financial Sector of Ukraine until 2020, the Financial Sector Development Strategies and FinTech in Ukraine by 2025. The research is aimed at identifying the major tendencies in the development of microfinance organizations in Ukraine as a key element of the market of non-bank financial services using digital technologies, including FinTech. To achieve the aim, research methods such as analysis and synthesis, statistical analysis, comparison, generalization, structural and logical method, expert survey and estimation are used. The dynamics of the main indicators of the development of the market of non-bank financial services in Ukraine are analyzed: the number of microfinance organizations, the volume of assets and financial services. The specific features of «split» as an important reform of the development of the national market of non-bank financial services have been identified. The peculiarities of FinTech development in different world countries are researched. The content of the key development tendencies of microfinance organizations in terms of FinTech-transformation of the financial sector in Ukraine are covered, including: marketplaces (providing loans to customers through intermediary digital platforms); balance crediting; AI-based solutions; banking-as-a-service as a model that allows non-financial companies to add banking services to their own applications and digital products. The formation and implementation of a qualitatively new model of regulation of the market of non-bank financial services will create conditions for the use of new financial instruments and business models that will meet the requirements of the dynamic institutional environment of microfinance organizations in Ukraine.
