For junior high school pupils, research on the development of learning media is badly needed. Students' understanding and mastery of specific materials should improve as a result of the availability of learning media. The goals of this study are to (1) create a product in the form of a learning media called Noun Words Domino Card (NWDC) that is appropriate for seventh-graders at Satap Woja State Junior High School; and (2) develop a product in the form of a learning media called Noun Words Domino Card (NWDC) that is appropriate for eighth-graders at Satap Woja State Junior High School. (2) understand the use of NWDC learning media for students, and (3) understand the efficacy of NWDC learning media in improving student vocabulary knowledge. The ADDIE paradigm, which consists of five steps: Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate, was used to conduct this research. The findings revealed: (1) The noun words domino card (NWDC) is a viable learning material for students to use and assess. The practicality is determined by material experts, who gave it a score of 3.7, and media experts, who gave it a score of 3.5. (2) The noun words domino card (NWDC) is a useful tool for pupils to improve their vocabulary mastery. (3) Learning media noun words domino card (NWDC) is helpful in developing student vocabulary knowledge, according to the student's reaction as a user of learning media with a total average score of 3.6. It was calculated using the average oral test score of students who met the English subject's minimal completion criteria.

This research is motivated by the level of junior high school students' mathematical problem solving was still low. Based on the preliminary study which conducted by one of the schools in Batam shows the average score for mathematics was 62 for 100 scale. The purpose of this study is to obtain and investigate the improvement of students' problem-solving mastery on relations and functions material as the effect of  PAKEM model. The research method which used is pre-experiment and with one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were VIII grade students of one of the first junior school in Batam at odd semester 2015-2016 academic year, totally 32 students.  Sample of this research were taken by random sampling technique. Students’ problem solving mastery was measured by using problem-solving test, whereas the students’ problem-solving mastery improvement between before and after the concept of effect size implementation was calculated to find the effect size of applying the PAKEM model. The result showed that the effect size of applying the PAKEM model on improving problem solving mastery is 3.3, it means, the PAKEM model implementation on improving problem-solving mastery on function has a strong influence. It can be concluded that the PAKEM model implementation can improve problem solving mastery.

The development of the science student worksheet based on the bioecology of cuttlefish (Sepia sp.) cultivation is an effort to improve the scientific literacy skills of students at the coastal village school of East Lombok. The purpose of this research is to produce student worksheet that is feasible, practical, and effective in improving students' literacy skills. This research is research and development using Thiagarajan 4D development model which includes design, define, develop, and disseminate stages. The research subjects consisted of 1 SMP/MTs equivalent in East Lombok which were determined using purposive sampling technique. The instruments used include validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires, and scientific literacy assessment instruments. The feasibility and practicality data were analyzed using the percentage formula, and the effectiveness data were analyzed using the N-gain analysis. The results showed that 1) student worksheet science based on the bioecology of cuttlefish cultivation (Sepia.sp) was feasible to use with an average score of 73 for the content/material aspect, 73 for the language aspect, and 85 for the appearance aspect, 2) science student worksheet based on the bioecology of cuttlefish cultivation. (Sepia sp.) is practically used with an average percentage of student responses of 81% and teacher responses of 88%, 3) student worksheet science based on the bioecology of cuttlefish cultivation (Sepia.sp) is effective in improving students' scientific literacy skills with an average N value -gain of 0.5 in the medium category. Thus, it can be concluded that the science student worksheet based on the bioecology of cuttlefish (Sepia sp.) cultivation is feasible, practical, and effective to use in science learning as an effort to improve the scientific literacy of junior high school students in coastal village schools in East Lombok.

This study was aimed at improving junior high school students’ vocabulary mastery. The subjects of this study were the students grade 7 of junior high school with a total number of 60 students. The method employed in this study was the Research and Development design. The development model used is the ADDIE modification development model. The steps in the ADDIE development consist of five stages; namely analyzing, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Product trials are carried out in three stages, namely small group trials, operational trials, and large group trials.. The instruments used in development research were observation sheets, interviews, and assessment questionnaires. A t-test was used to analyze the effectiveness of media development. The media then were validated by the media experts, material experts, and teachers. The results shows that the media is feasible with an average score of 4.55. The findings also show that the Interactive Learning Multimedia effectively enhance students’ vocabulary mastery for junior high school students and able to be used as a catalyst or alternative media teaching vocabulary.

This research was conducted to develop an integrated science practicum guide with the theme of inquiry-based photosynthesis for junior high school students with student learning outcomes and activities. This research is a Research and Development research with small-scale trials in class VIII A and large scale at VIIIB. The results showed that the practical guide was valid and feasible to use by obtaining an average score of> 3.2 from each expert. After calculating the n gain formula, the classical gain n value is 0.56 (moderate), with the classical completeness percentage is 100%. The results of the analysis of students' understanding using practicum guides have been developed with an average of 83.84. Meanwhile, the understanding of students who did not use the practicum guide that had been developed obtained an average of 62.20. This shows that the understanding of students using the practicum guide that was developed is higher than without using the practicum guide that has been developed. The results of student activity increased after the second meeting with an average of 85.47% of students belonging to the "active" and "very active" categories. So it can be concluded that the integrated science practicum guide for inquiry-based photosynthesis for junior high school students has proven valid and suitable for use in learning. The internalization of character education in science learning through a variety of learning media has been researched recently, one of which is through the photonovela media which is the medium of insertion of character values in learning material. The focus of this research is; 1) developing photonovela learning media with character education on work material and energy, 2) knowing photonovela media feasibility as a supplement to physics learning with character education on work material and energy 3) knowing the response of students to photonovela media with character education in an energy material. This research is a Research and Development study adopted the development of Borg and Gall with the subject of junior high school students. The research instruments used were questionnaires by material experts, media experts, and junior high school physics teachers and questionnaires for students' responses in the three schools. The results of the assessment by material experts obtained a percentage of 85%, the assessment of media experts was 90%, and the assessment of junior high school teachers was 84.16%, while the response of students in three junior high schools was 87.6%, 94%, and 93.6%. In conclusion, this study produced a product in the form of appropriate photonovela media as a supplement to physics learning with character education on business material and energy

Based on the preliminary research, it was found that Junior High School Students of IT Al-Birru Pekanbaru’s speaking skill regarding to recount text was very poor. So, the researcher decided to conduct a Classroom Action Research by using Video Subscribe to improve their speaking skill. It can be stated that the research aims at improving the students of Junior High School of IT Al-Birru Pekanbaru’s speaking skill by using Video Subscribe. The respondents of the research were twenty students of grade VIII.1, Junior High School of IT Al-Birru Pekanbaru. This research was done in a cycle with four meetings and a test. For collecting the data, a test, an observation checklist, field notes, and an interview were distributed. After analyzing the data in cycle I, it was found that the students' speaking ability was improved. It was proved by the students’ speaking criteria score; accent was about 60; grammar was about 74; vocabulary was about 79; fluency was about 72; and comprehension was about 78. So, the average score of students’ speaking ability was 72.4. This students’ speaking improvement was influenced by a factor namely interest. In the other hands, this video subscribe was very interesting media so it could foster the students’ participation and confidence during the process of learning activity especially in speaking regarding to recount text. No more students were inactive. They tended to be focus and active in doing communication such as addressing questions and giving comments.

Cell division is an abstract material for middle school students in which learning resources and supporting learning media are compulsory to use. This research and development aimed at developing learning supplement book of mitotic cell material for IX graders which eases them to identify cell division, particularly in mitotic phase. This study was developed based on ADDIE model which comprised of four stages (i.e. Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The validation test was conducted by teaching and learning material experts. The two stage tests were conducted in small and large trial groups. The qualitative and quantitative data gained were analyzed using percentage. The results showed that the percentage values were 86.2% (very feasible) for teaching material, 99.4% (very feasible) for learning material. The small-scale trial gained 87.8% (very feasible), meanwhile the large-scale test gained 88.3% (very feasible). In conclusion, the mitotic learning supplement book of cell division material for junior high school can be used as teaching material in classroom learning activities.

<p align="center"><strong><em>Abstrak</em></strong><strong><em></em></strong></p><p><em>Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan (1) bentuk kohesi berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat, (2) bentuk koherensi berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat, dan (3) relevansi </em><em>hasil analisis  bentuk kohesi dan koherensi </em><em>sebagai bahan </em><em>pel</em><em>ajar</em><em>an</em><em> bahasa Jawa di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini </em><em>berupa </em><em>data </em><em>ter</em><em>tulis berita berbahasa Jawa dalam majalah Panjebar Semangat. Sumber data penelitian adalah dokumen dan informan. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. </em><em>P</em><em>engumpulan data </em><em>dengan cara </em><em>analisis dokumen dan wawancara. Analisis data </em><em>menggunakan teknik </em><em>analisis data interaktif</em><em>.</em><em> </em><em>Simpulan: (1) K</em><em>ohesi </em><em>berita di majalah Panyebar Semangat berbentuk </em><em>gramatikal</em><em> dan leksikal. The data of the study using writing data form Javanese news in Panjebar Semangat magazine. </em><em>Sources of data in this study are documents and informants. Sampling technique in this research use purposive sampling. Data collection techniques are document analysis and interview. Data analysis ie interactive data analysis</em><em>. </em><em>Conclusion: (1) News cohesion in </em><em>Panjebar Semangat magazine</em><em> is grammatical and lexical. Conjugate elements dominate in grammatical cohesion compared to the elements of reference, substitution, and percolation; whereas repetition elements predominate in form cohesion compared to elements of synonymy, antonymy, collocation, hyponimi, and equivalence; (2) Coherence of news in </em><em>Panjebar Semangat magazine</em><em> of the type of causal relationship is more dominant than that of the means-of-means relationship, the causes, the means, the conclusion, the outcomes, the paradigms, the amplicatives, the additive-time, the identification, generic-specific, and like; (3) Various forms of cohesion and type of news coherence in Panyebar Semangat magazines are considered suitable and suitable as Javanese language learning materials for junior high school students, whether viewed from the aspects of language, culture, philosophy, and curricular.</em><em></em></p><p><strong><em>Keyword</em></strong><strong><em>s:</em></strong><em> </em><em>cohesion, coherence, Javanese news, learning materials</em><em></em></p>

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the heat and temperature module based on the Guided-Inquiry Laboratory (GIL) model. The type of this research was a quasi-experimental research with a pretest-posttest control group design.  The samples were the seventh grade of one of junior high school in Kediri, as many as 60 students, with two classes: module as experiment class and existing class as control class. The module class was treated using a GIL-based module and existing class using modules commonly used at school. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling. The instrument used to collect data on scientific inquiry literacy was a multiple-choice test. This study found that there are statistically significant differences between the module and the existing class with an Effect Size (ES) of 0,413. The average score of scientific inquiry literacy N-Gains score calculation in the module class was higher by 0,68 compared to the existing class 0f 0,47. The result indicates that there is a medium impact of applying heat and temperature module to the indicator of scientific inquiry literacy. These findings contribute that employing the GIL-based heat and temperature module proved to be effective in the quality of science learning among module class students.
