The purpose of this study is 1. To describe the planning of appropriate technology application in the cente-based tuber processing food business as a local potential. 2. To describe the process of applying appropriate technology in a cente-based tuber processing food business as a local potential. 3. To describe the results of the application of appropriate technology in a cente-based tuber processing food business as a local potential. 4. To describe the follow-up to the application of appropriate technology in the cente-based tuber processing food business as a local potential.The methodology used in this study was to use descriptive qualitative methods using data collection of observation guidelines, interview guidelines, documentation and literature studies, with informants managing Melati PAUD and parents of Melati PAUD students. The results showed that the efforts of the management of Paud Melati in training the use of appropriate technology to improve independence through cente processing, learning citizens were able to realize the results of entrepreneurial life skills obtained through the learning of citizens towards the adoption of cente processing equipment technology, product diversification from senti bulbs, increased insight into efforts at independence in business and income.The conclusion in this study is proven to be able to increase the independence of trainees. Training participants are able to market themselves or through marketing services that are entrusted to PAUD Melati managers the results of entrepreneurial training. Based on the results of research and discussion that has been carried out in this study, the researchers provide some suggestions for institutions and Technical Resource Persons should conduct life training activities using appropriate technology more intensive and more optimal in facilitating learning as one of the activities to improve the independence of trainees. Access to clean water for drinking and sanitation is an urgent issue that the world is facing. According to the United Nations (UN), approximately one billion people live in extreme poverty, and almost 2.6 billion people live without the basics of adequate sanitation. Over the past two decades, the BioSand Filter has proven to be an effective and efficient point-of-use device to purify water to a potable level in developing countries. The success of this device is due to its simplicity, use of appropriate technology, and sustainability. This chapter discusses a case study of His Hands Mission International’s work installing these filters in the villages of rural Honduras. It focuses on the implementation, adoption, diffusion, and impacts of these filters, providing insight to the system’s factors of success. These factors provide information that can be utilized to improve the chances for success of similar system implementations around the world.

The architecture of public buildings in rural areas, through the advancement of skills, knowledge, technologies, and materials, has become increasingly representative in recent decades, especially considering tourism as a global theme. The work is related to the planning of visitor centers in rural areas and the main task is defined by the effort to improve the quality of life in such areas, that is, highlight the major advantages in space, such as the natural environment. The aim of the research is defined by establishing certain elements in the planning of the visitor centers within the idea of promoting local values and cultural heritage. The first part of the chapter has been defined as an analysis of the theoretical views. The second part of the study has been defined as an analysis of the visitor centers. Through a case study, in the third part of the chapter, the work presents a comparative overview of the process to achieve two individual similar investments in Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
