The right learning model determines success in learning. Activities that suit the needs of children, of course, prioritize a sense of pleasure and comfort. Fun learning can develop abilities or multiple intelligences as optimal as possible in accordance with existing standards in the curriculum. The learning center model is one of the learning models that is able to stimulate all aspects of child development through directed play. The center-based learning model is one of the more effective learning models because it is oriented in playing while learning. This learning model has been applied to Islamc Center Kindergarten, Silmi Islamic Kindergarten and Fastabiqul Khairat Kindergarten. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the Islamic learning center model to develop children's multiple intelligences in Samarinda City Kindergarten. This research used field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. The research locations were Islamic Center Kindergarten (TK), Silmi Islamic Kindergarten (TK) and Fastabiqul Khairat Kindergarten (TK). Data collection techniques were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis. The results of this study were obtained after an analysis that center-based learning models develop the ability of multiple intelligence in early childhood. Each center has a focus on developing aspects of intelligence and when put together, all centers are designed with a variety of strategies in the process of learning activities where children learn to actually encourage to be directly involved in observation, do it directly using existing media with pleasure because it is inseparable from the concept of play children, all centers hone the intelligence abilities of logical thinking, intrapersonal, interpersonal, kinesthetic, linguistic, naturalist, musical, visual-spatial and existential. In developing plural intelligence in early childhood, it is supported with facilities and infrastructure that are in line with the concept of learning, namely playing while learning.

In this paper, we propose a framework for conceptual development through the lens of program induction. We implement this framework to model the acquisition of kinship term concepts, resulting in the first formal developmental model for kinship acquisition. We demonstrate that our model can learn several kinship systems of varying complexity using cross-linguistic data from English, Pukapuka, Turkish and Yanomamö. More importantly, the behavioral patterns observed in children learning kinship terms, under-extension and over-generalization, fall out naturally from our learning model. We conducted interviews to simulate realistic learning environments and demonstrate that the characteristic-to-defining shift is a consequence of our learning model in naturalistic contexts containing abstract and concrete features. We use model simulations to discuss the influence of simplicity and learning environment on the order of acquisition of kinship terms, positing novel predictions for the learning trajectories of kinship terms. We conclude the paper with a discussion of how this model framework generalizes beyond kinship terms and the limitations of our model.

Language is a developmental aspect which is important to be stimulated from an early age. Language development in children has a dynamic rhythm. There is numerous speech that seems common and consistent in the language of children. Fortunately, this phenomenon does not automatically close the gaps of diversity in the children’s classes. Thus, the method of developing language skills especially English in children must be based on awareness of their own level of development. In developing language skills, the mastery of vocabulary by children determines the dominant ability to communicate, so this should be given special attention by educators. Answering the challenge of mastering the English vocabulary in early childhood, this paper explores in depth about the Talking Stick Learning Model which tends to be reserved for children at a relatively early age. Their first interaction with English will in some way affect their wishes ahead to learn more about this International language. Talking Stick Learning Model projects teachers not to dominate the learning process. This method of learning requires the help of a stick and for the child holding the stick, in turn, must answer the questions of the teacher that have thoroughly studied a discussion. In addition to training children to speak, this model will create a fun atmosphere for learning and train students to participate actively and creatively.

Keywords: Talking Stick Learning Model, English Vocabulary, Early Childhood

AbstractWe examine the conceptual development of kinship through the lens of program induction. We present a computational model for the acquisition of kinship term concepts, resulting in the first computational model of kinship learning that is closely tied to developmental phenomena. We demonstrate that our model can learn several kinship systems of varying complexity using cross-linguistic data from English, Pukapuka, Turkish, and Yanomamö. More importantly, the behavioral patterns observed in children learning kinship terms, under-extension and over-generalization, fall out naturally from our learning model. We then conducted interviews to simulate realistic learning environments and demonstrate that the characteristic-to-defining shift is a consequence of our learning model in naturalistic contexts containing abstract and concrete features. We use model simulations to understand the influence of logical simplicity and children’s learning environment on the order of acquisition of kinship terms, providing novel predictions for the learning trajectories of these words. We conclude with a discussion of how this model framework generalizes beyond kinship terms, as well as a discussion of its limitations.

Character education is an important provision in preparing early childhood in facing a future full of challenges, both academically and in the life of the nation and state, learning at Roudhotul Athfal Bina Ibsani Muslim in the current conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic is a challenge in efforts to manage education character even though the intensity of the encounter between teachers and students is reduced and moves to digital spaces. This study aims to describe the development of character education in RA Bina Insani during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research instrument uses observation, semi-structured interviews where the researcher tries to open the opinion and ideas of the informants so that the problem becomes clear. The technique used to analyze the data used a qualitative descriptive technique. The results showed that there are four models of learning model RA Bina Insani Muslimi during the Covid-19 pandemic; Online (online), offline (offline), Home visit (home learning once a week) and School Visit. The results show that the development of character education is outlined in daily and weekly programs and is still escorted by teachers by providing character control sheets, and providing appreciation and guidance for those who do not meet the criteria. The characters developed are the child's personality, independence, discipline, and responsibility.
