Biradari (Brotherhood) is one of the most important principles of Pakistani culture. The Biradari (Brotherhood) ties are considered very strong among south Asian communities, especially in Pakistan. It is an important cultural element of Punjabi cultural setup, considered as the strong binder in making group alliances and performs a significant role in daily life. The major objective of this research is to study the crucial role of Biradari relations in organizations and how does it affect the career growth of an individual. Academic researchers have highlighted different indicators and factors which contribute to career growth. Social networks, sifarish, and favoritism are deeply embedded dimensions of Pakistani culture. This research significantly contributes to the literature by giving the holistic view of Biradari and the importance of Biradari based networks in job selection and promotion. The research is conducted in the public sector organization of Islamabad (PIMS). The qualitative research methodology was used for this study and data was collected from fifteen (15) employees through in-depth interviews. The results of the study reveal that Biradari significantly influences the career growth of individual and it is considered as strong support for individual career growth. The results have further highlighted that in today's competitive environment individuals cannot able to achieve a successful career without using his/her networks.

Social Impact Bonds (SIBs) attract global interest as tool for financing welfare services using investment from outside the public sector. They aim to incentivise innovative services that prevent future needs, reducing the future demand on services, and thus make savings. The literature on the practice of SIBs is still scarce and this paper provides new insights into the role of commissioners, based on in-depth interviews. It concludes that although the prevention of future needs through innovative approaches are welcome, commissioners are cautious about this leading to cashable savings.

Corruption has been one of the everyday concern for many nations. The effect of corruption has been very devastating in countries across the globe including the developed nations. However, reports indicate that the developing nations are more susceptible to corruption and particularly within the public sector. Nigeria is an example of a developing facing the problem of corruption within the enclave of its public-sector services. Essentially, public sector service performances in Nigeria is inseparable from corruption in one form or the other. Over the years, successive have been making efforts to address the issue of corruption in the country. These efforts eventually saw the emergence of the setting up of two prominent anti-corruption agencies. Still with these agencies corruption persists in the country. Part of the problem identified is lack of competent investigative machinery to appropriately dig into the root of all corruption cases and to prosecute such cases in the court of justice. It follows that the forensic accounting investigation technique is identified as the best option and the anti-corruption agencies have adopted the technique in their investigation. This study, therefore, using qualitative research methodology based on in-depth interviews with experts from these agencies, examines the efficacy of the technique. Data collected were manually coded and analyzed using thematic analysis. Through rigorous within the case and cross-case analyses of the 24 interviews conducted, two themes emerged as the findings to the study. Forensic accounting is considered an appropriate technique for adequately investigating public sector corruption and at the same is suitable for court purposes in the prosecution and conviction of corrupt officers. Finally, the study recognizes the need to enhance the capacity of the investigators through training and retraining as well as through the provision of the latest equipment.

Rashtriya Seva Samsthan is a public sector organization that sets up a new administrative office with a data processing cell. A specially chosen young executive to head the data processing cell runs into problems in implementing the planning and monitoring system within the Samsthan's organizational climate and processes. He is transferred out of that location in response to the frictions that develop. Frustrated, the young officer quits. This case, contributed by Karan Gianni, Goa, raises interesting issues on how organizational changes should be planned for absorption into and for desired influences on the rest of the organizational processes and behaviour. The case also raises questions on the role of the head office, choice of personnel, provision of the support needed by those implementing the changes. Vjkalpa hopes that large organizations in the public and private sectors planning the introduction of changes involving data processing will benefit from an analysis of this case.

The institutionalisation of new technologies, information systems, norms, practices and other innovations for improving governance, planning, operational efficiency and service delivery in the public sector remain a challenge. Power dynamics, and politics have also been recognised as playing a critical role in the institutionalisation of information systems for promoting digital transformation of the public sector. This study used data collected through an extensive review of literature and empirical data from a case study of South Africa’s government digital transformation journey. The study explored power dynamics and the role of politics in the institutionalisation of reforms and deinstitutionalisation of institutionalised practices that constrain transformation in institutions. Power dynamics, and politics in institutions were found to have a significant bearing on the institutionalisation of reforms that include information systems in the digital transformation of government. The study found that the digital transformation of the public is more than the implementation technology and requires the holistic view of institutions as social, economic, and political structures.

Role of public sector organization in economic development is very important. Public sector serves most administrative activity to public/ people. It is important to measure public satisfaction as a reflection of government’s performance. This research proposed a fit model for measure public satisfaction in Palembang City. Public sector in Palembang must have a quality assurance and indicator to measure the public satisfaction. Stage of measurement system must involve the major, internal and eksternal auditor and the public. The most important is that public sector must hire a professional employee that responsive and empathy to public.

Purpose of the study: The study investigates the mediating role of moral identity between psychological contract breaches, as an antecedent of intention to sabotage in the public sector organization in Fiji. Methodology: A self-completed written survey and a random sampling method were used in collecting data from 340 employees of various public sector organizations in Fiji Island. The data were analysed through SPSS and SEM for model fit in AMOS. Main Findings: The findings revealed that there is a positive relationship between psychological contract breach and intention to sabotage the service in the public sector organization (β=0.604, p < 0.01). The moral identity had a significant mediating relation between the two variables. (β=0.223, p < 0.01), as such, high moral identity partially mediated the relationship between psychological contract breaches and employee intention to sabotage service. Applications of this study: The result of the study is has a significant impact on improving organizational effectiveness and at the same time using moral identity as an indicator to evaluate employees in public sector organizations. Besides, organizations can also integrate ethics into training human resources. Novelty/Originality of this study: As neglected by prior studies, this study highlights the importance of recognizing the role of moral identity in organizational development, especially during a crisis. Furthermore, human behaviors do not operate as tabula rasa but the subsequent effect of organizational adversities such as PCB.

One of the distinctive traits of the Belarusian ‘revolution-in-the-making’, sparked by alleged falsifications during the presidential elections and brutal repressions of protest afterwards, has been a highly visible gender dimension. This article is devoted to the analysis of this gender-related consequences of protest activism in Belarus. Within this research, the authors analyse the role of the female movement in the Belarusian uprising and examine, and to which extent this involvement expands the public sphere and contributes to the changes in gender-related policies. To do this, the authors conducted seven semi-structured in-depth interviews with the gender experts and activists – four before and four after the protests.
