To be able to survive in a continuously growing competitive environment, the right business strategy is needed. Aim of this research is to formulate a set of marketing communication mix strategies to increase room sales and hotel profits for The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta, Mega Kuningan. The methods used in this research are SWOT analysis and IFE-EFE matrix. The findings  suggested that the Hotel must hold and maintain strategy whereas it can be elaborated into four aspects 1) horizontal integration strategy by seeking ownership or increased control over competitors; 2) market penetration strategy; by seeking increased market share for present products or services in present markets through greater marketing efforts; 3) market development strategy by  introducing present products or services into the new geographic area, and 4) product development strategy; by seeking increased sales through improving present products or services or developing new ones.

Prior to the 1998 economic downfall, and in ten years after in 2008, BMT (Baitul Maal wa Tamwil) proofed the endurance to remain stable. From those external factors, strived the company very hard hard to sustain its business, as well as to formulate a better strategy to its competitive advantage. The research begins with the internal and external analysis, using a SWOT Analysis. The results shows its business strength and its market penetration, lies in its company’s human development. Through the IE Matrix, founds BMT Beringharjo competitive position in Quadrant or cell IV Matrix IE, with growth strategy through horizontal integration concentration. Based on its position of: (1) competition; (2) strength; (3) weakness; (4) opportunity; (5) threats. Enriched with strategy of: (1) market penetration; (2) market development; as well as (3) horizontal integration strategy to the creative innovation strategy is inevitable to remain exist and gain more success.

Raw material distributors play an important role in the continuity of the food and beverage industry in producing their products, therefore raw material distributors must implement the right strategy in order to have a competitive and sustainable competitive advantage. This research was conducted at PT. XYZ located in East Jakarta, PT. XYZ is one of the raw material distributors who distribute citric acid as food additives in the food and beverage industry. This research will be conducted in November 2017 until the end of April 2018. The purpose of this research is to determine the right business strategy in order to achieve competitive and sustainable advantages. This research includes descriptive - qualitative research, where primary data collection is done by questionnaires, interviews, and FGD (Forum Group Discussion) and literature as secondary data. The analysis used in this study is the SWOT Matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix, and Quantitative Strategy Planning Matrix. The results of this study show the Growth Strategy and alternative strategies of PT. XYZ namely Market Development Strategy, Backward Integration Strategy, and Horizontal Integration Strategy. Conclusion The PT. XYZ Business Strategy is a Market Development Strategy and Growth Strategy.

Koperasi merupakan salah satu lembaga keuangan yang memberikan jasa layanan keuangan berupa simpan pinjam tidak akan bisa lepas untuk dihadapkan kepada persaingan dari koperasi lain dan lembaga keuangan lainnya. Untuk itu lembaga koperasi sangat penting melakukan identifikasi faktor-faktor internal yang menjadi kekuatan dan kelemahan dari koperasi tersebut dan juga dapat mengidentifikasi faktor eksternal untuk dapat melihat peluang dan ancaman bagi koperasi sehingga mampu merumuskan strategi pemasaran yang tepat untuk memiliki keunggulan kompetitif bagi koperasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Koperasi Kuta Mimba dengan menggunakan metode wawancara kepada pengurus dan manjemen Koperasi Kuta Mimba, kemudian dilakukan analisa SWOT dan analisis IFAS, EFAS selanjutnya memberikan output berupa hasil analisa yang dijadikan dasar didalam menentukan merumuskan strategi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut Koperasi Kuta Mimba saat ini seharusnya menerapkan strategi agresif, maka perusahaan dapat memanfaatkan kekuatan internalnya  untuk  meraih  kesempatan/peluang  yang   ada,   mengatasi   masalah intern, dan menghindari ancaman-ancaman yang ada. Berkenaan  dengan  strategi agresif ini maka implementasinya berkaitan dengan penerapan strategi di segala bidang pada Koperasi Kuta Mimba melalui strategi pertumbuhan intensif dari Wheelen-Hunger yang meliputi : Strategi Penetrasi Pasar (market penetration strategy), Strategi Pengembangan Pasar (market development strategy), dan Strategi Pengembangan Produk (product development strategy). Public awareness of the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle continues to increase. One indicator can be seen is an increase in the consumption of organic food. Likewise, the high interest of the global community in organic food is expected to impact on the restaurant business in Bali, especially in Ubud Tourist Area. At this time there are some marketing difficulties facing the restaurant business that sells food made from organic.  The purpose of research is exploring the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats organic restaurant in Ubud Tourist Area - Bali. It is also to investigate the marketing strategy to increase tourists visiting an organic restaurant in Region Ubud - Bali.Methods of data collection using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation, and then analyzed using SWOT analysis. The results of this study are the internal condition of organic restaurants in Ubud Tourist Area is excellent for tourists and managers of restaurants, as well as external environmental conditions in Ubud. Based on a combination of analysis and IE Matrix Matrix position, the right strategy is applied industry Organic restaurant in Ubud Tourist Area is a strategy of market penetration, product development, and market development is limited.

The rapid development of sharia banking industry in Indonesia is inseparably from the population of 80 percent of Indonesian Muslim community. The development of mortgage business in Indonesia experienced a period of ups and downs. Especially for sharia-based KPR or commonly called the KPR iB is required to be able to take advantage of a vast market in Indonesia. But in line with its development, the condition also triggers high level of competition among fellow financial institution in similar field. This prompted the banking sector to continue to innovate in developing KPR iB products that are easily accepted by many parties and in accordance with the principles of sharia. Coupled with the influence of uncontrollable external factors from outside Indonesia, spurred PT Bank FRWRD Tbk to continuously evaluate strategies and breakthroughs in order to survive and continue to develop, formulate new strategy forms, in order to improve the competitiveness of companies and winning superior. This research begins by analyzing the internal and external environmental conditions of the company. In analyzing used SWOT analysis method to weight the degree of importance of each actor and factor. From the IE Matrix test, obtained competitive position PT Bank FRWRD Tbk on quadrant or cell IV IE Matrix, with growth concentration strategy through horizontal integration. By looking at the position: (1) compete; (2) strength; (3) weaknesses; (4) opportunities; and (5) threats. In this case PT Bank FRWRD Tbk should use the strategy: (1) market penetration; (2) market development; and also (3) horizontal integration strategy in addition to creating creative innovations should also be done

<em>Total production of dairy farmers in Indonesia are accounted for less than a quarter of the national dairy consumption. Most of dairy farmers in Indonesia are coordinated by cooperative. Therefore, the right strategy is needed to strengthen the role of cooperatives and their members. Research is conducted in Bogor Dairy Production Cooperative (KPS Bogor), Bogor District. The research is offering Business Development Strategy of dairy cooperative using Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis and Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) methods. The results showed the internal and external (IE) indicators in KPS Bogor. IE Matrix showed that KPS Bogor stands in five quadrant. The general strategies are market penetration and product development. Based on matrix of SWOT method, there are six alternative strategies. QSPM results showed the highest priority strategy for KPS Bogor are: (1) Strategy to develop derivative products of milk, (2) Strategy to increase the number of dairy farmers, (3) Strategy to provide credit facilities for members of the cooperative, (4) Strategy to improve milk quality standards, (5) Strategy to expand the distribution network, and (6) Strategy to clarify goals of KPS Bogor.</em>

Penelitian ini membahas tentang strategi pengembangan Paguyuban Sripanglaras Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjawab dua permasalahan yang diajukan: pertama, bagaimana kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman yang dimiliki oleh Paguyuban Sripanglaras sampai dengan saat ini; dan yang kedua, bagaimana formulasi strategi pengembangan Paguyuban Sripanglaras. Untuk membedah permasalahan tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metodologi penelitian dengan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis SWOT sebagai alat untuk menemukan faktor internal dan faktor eksternal Paguyuban Sripanglaras. Matriks IE (internal – eksternal) Paguyuban Sripanglaras berada pada sel I yang menunjukkan tumbuh dan bina, strategi yang digunakan adalah intensif (penetrasi pasar, pengembangan pasar, dan pengembangan produk). Sedangkan kuadran analisis SWOT Paguyuban Sripanglaras berada pada posisi pertama yakni ekspansion atau mendukung strategi ofensif. Strategi pengembangan Paguyuban Sripanglaras yang dihasilkan yakni dengan menggunakan strategi campuran yang berasal dari strategi SO dan strategi WO. The development strategy of the Sripanglaras Community in Kulon Progo RegencyABSTRACTThis research discusses the development strategy of Paguyuban Sripanglaras Kulon Progo Regency. The purpose of this research is to answer two proposed problems: first, how are the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Paguyuban Sripanglaras to date; and second, how to formulate the development strategy of the Sripanglaras Association. To dissect these problems, researchers used a research methodology with qualitative methods with a case study approach. This study uses SWOT analysis as a tool to find internal and external factors of the Sripanglaras Association. IE matrix (internal-external) Paguyuban Sripanglaras is in cell I, which shows growth and development; the strategy used is intensive (market penetration, market development, and product development). Meanwhile, the SWOT analysis quadrant of the Sripanglaras Association is in the first position, namely expansion or supporting the offensive strategy. The resulting Sripanglaras association development strategy uses a mixed strategy derived from the SO strategy and the WO strategy.

The weakening of crude oil price had caused the performance of Daya Minyak, Ltd decline. The efforts to improve had succeeded in improving performance, but it was still below the industry average. Therefore, in 2020 a research was carried out aimed at systematically formulating Daya Minyak, Ltd business strategy for the years 2021-2024. This applied research was conducted qualitatively, using the business strategy formulation model from David and David (2016) where external strategic issues were compiled in the External Factor Evaluation (EFE) matrix and internal strategic issues in the International Factor Evaluation (IFE) matrix. The weighted value of the EFE matrix is 2.93 and the weighted value of the IFE matrix is 2.97, which meant that the future business strategy is to hold and maintain. Two alternative strategies, market penetration, and product development were developed using the Internal-External (IE) matrix and the TOWS matrix. Two priority strategies, namely a strategy to increase market penetration through integrated services at low costs and a product development strategy through increasing local content with international standards are determined by the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM).

In running business poultry broiler, Rancamaya Farm faces many obstacles. Especially is not being able to meet all demand that there are (excess demand). The demand for chicken broiler currently reached 400.783, can be met by Rancamaya Farm is a 288.194. Along with the high education and people's income, then the demand for chicken broiler will progressively increase. This led to opportunities developed farms will increase anyway. The purpose of this research is to analyze the internal and external factors Rancamaya Farm as well as formulate strategies in developing his business. This research uses the qualitative method, as for the quantitative of with regard to internal factors (IFE) matrix, external factors (EFE) Matrix and internal-external (IE). After that, it was back in the analysis using the matrix Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat (SWOT) and architecture strategy. Respondents used in these studies amounted to 7 persons, with consideration of the respondents understand the external and internal condition of the company. The results of this research indicate that the position is located in Rancamaya Farm II which gives recommendations to grow and develop. The strategy that best suits your Rancamaya Farm is a strategy of intensive (market penetration, market development, and product development) or integrative (integration, integration of the back, and the horizontal integration). The results of the SWOT analysis produces 8 business strategic alternatives for Rancamaya Farm which is then poured into 18 work program needs to be done within a period of five years.

AbstrakSebuah usaha haruslah memiliki perencanaan dan strategi yang matang. Strategi yang tepat tentu mempunyai pengaruh yang besar dalam perkembangan usaha itu sendiri. Penelitian ini mencoba meneliti tentang strategi pengembangan usaha sayuran organik di POMOSDA dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan bahwa berdasarkan posisi pada matriks IE, kelompok tani berada pada kuadran V. Inti strategi yang dapat diterapkan kelompok tani Gapoktan Japo adalah strategi Hold and maintain (Mempertahankan dan Memelihara), melalui strategi penetrasi pasar dan pengembangan produk. Hasil analisis SWOT didapatkan a) S-O yaitu mempertahankan dan meningkatkan pelayanan terhadap konsumen serta memperluas distribusi dan pemasaran. b) W-O yaitu mengusahakan sertifikasi produk serta meningkatkan pengarsipan data dan memanfaatkan peluang. c) S-T yaitu mempertahankan dan memelihara daerah pemasaran yang sudah ada. d) W-T yaitu menjalin kerjasama (net working) dengan perusahaan-perusahaan untuk mencari dan mendapatkan informasi pasar pertanian organik.Kata kunci : Strategi pengembangan, IFE, EFE, analisis SWOTAbstractA business should have a mature planning and strategy. The right strategy certainly has a great influence in the development of the business itself. This research tried to examine the strategy of developing organic vegetable business in POMOSDA using SWOT analysis. The result of the research is based on the position in IE matrix, farmer group is in quadrant V. The core of strategy that can be applied by farmer group Gapoktan Japo is strategy of hold and maintain (Keeping and Maintain), through strategy of market penetration and product development. The results of SWOT analysis obtained a) S-O is maintain and improve service to consumers and expand distribution and marketing. b) W-O is a ensuring product certification and improving data archiving and exploiting opportunities. c) S-T is keeping and maintaining existing marketing areas. d) W-T is establishing cooperation (net working) with companies to look forword and obtain information market organic farming.Keywords: Development strategy, IFE, EFE, SWOT analysis
