War, poverty, hunger, and health issues still remain big problems in global era. Facing an era like today, the youth can not only sit and wait for chance to come to them. Preparing the youth is one of the ways to overcome the problems. This idea is recognized by the youths themselves and has awakened an awareness to build leader characters since the very first time. There are several ways to create the leader characters and one and the most important of them is by modeling. This paper discusses how Buya Hamka�s fiction can serve as leader model for youths to be a successful entrepreneur. Through his influential literary works, Buya Hamka has introduced and exemplified the youths to face an era like today. This paper uses descriptive qualitative approach which identified the power of literary works in leading the world as seen in Buya Hamka. The data for analysis were collected by library research. Even though Buya Hamka lived in the past, his spirit and ideas are still alive and relevant that young people can adopt in the present time. Buya Hamka is an exemplary and inspiring entrepreneur who had devoted his life for people, the nation and the change of a better world.Keywords: Buya Hamka, leader characters, youth, literary work.

Literary work is an inseparable part of human life. Literature appears along with the history of human existence. In fact, it can be said that from the literature produced, it reflected the support of human civilization. As a social institution, literature reflects the expression of appreciation and inner experience of the narrator or the author of certain authors or situations. Literature always experiences development along with changing times and the emergence of new thoughts in every aspect of life. This also applies in the world of literature. Parallel aspects will show a clear picture of literature from the past until now. Methodologically this research uses library research or library research. The object of the study in this study is Sufi literary works. The approach used in this study is descriptive qualitative, in which this study describes not intended to test certain hypotheses. Literary works with religious characteristics will be able to direct readers to make conscience more serious, pious and conscientious in inner consideration. So that religious works make the reader pensive and template.

The literary work of every nation is our window to witness the spirit of the nation. There are many ways in which various nations of the world share their taste, feelings, desires and wishes, one of them is especially through literary works. These are conveyed in theater, tragedy, comedy, and also through the medium of stories and fairy tales, as well as poetry. The Persians chose poetry as the best medium to explore the taste of their inner nature. Local wisdom, also called hereditary cultural heritage, is formed by nature and habitus in the arena of oral and written culture. Word "wisdom" implies a kind of firmness and conviction, and applies to anything solid and impenetrable, whether material or spiritual. Wisdom also is the science in which the facts of things are discussed, as they are in the soul of al-Amr as much as human power and ability. The subject of wisdom is matter of things outside and in the mind, its usefulness is the attainment of perfection in life, salvation and goodness. Knowing the local wisdom of other nations can make us feel the cultural values of the nation. This paper there are several examples of poetry and prose from Persian classical writers those contain the meaning of local wisdom. The purpose of this research is to assess and reveal the local wisdom in classical Persia literary works with qualitative approach and method obtaining data based on library methodology.

<i>L’orologio</i>, as the title of Carlo Levi’s 1950 work alludes to, marks an important time in the narrator’s life. This is a time in which the poetics of childhood and family hold a strategic importance for the narrator’s ability to come to terms with his own present and presence in the world. This study explores how Proustian notions of memory, time and self-reflection shape the narrator’s considerations on living and writing in Italy after the end of the war. As an oneiric dimension connotes the harmony of Proustian elements and segments, they also help to dispel claims of <i>L’orologio</i> as being a text connected to, and generated by, conventional Neorealism. They confirm, instead, Levi’s idea that, unlike other forms of naturalism, realism “creates reality for the first time in the act of expression” (Levi, <i>Prima e dopo le parole</i> 31). In Levi’s work, reality is created through the reality of literature and painting. The narrator’s break with linear time, as he appears less interested in the past as an external reality than in the notion of the past in the present, is the result of a personal crisis about his presence in the world. The Eternal city becomes the narrator’s companion in his existential journey, as well as its geographical focus. “Effimera e provvisoria”(<i>L’orologio</i> 3) is his via Gregoriana room, the one in which he is lodging at the time of writing. The notion of the ephemeral seems to paradoxically be the only (a perennial survival of sorts) permanent asset for Rome.

Here I build upon Robert Orsi’s work by arguing that we can see presence—and the longing for it—at work beyond the obvious spaces of religious practice. Presence, I propose, is alive and well in mediated apocalypticism, in the intense imagination of the future that preoccupies those who consume its narratives in film, games, and role plays. Presence is a way of bringing worlds beyond into tangible form, of touching them and letting them touch you. It is, in this sense, that Michael Hoelzl and Graham Ward observe the “re-emergence” of religion with a “new visibility” that is much more than “simple re-emergence of something that has been in decline in the past but is now manifesting itself once more.” I propose that the “new awareness of religion” they posit includes the mediated worlds that enchant and empower us via deeply immersive fandoms. Whereas religious institutions today may be suspicious of presence, it lives on in the thick of media fandoms and their material manifestations, especially those forms that make ultimate promises about the world to come.

This research discusses a novel which written by Sue Monk Kidd entitled The Secret Life of Bees. The writers aims to describe the matriarchal society issue that is often regarded as the opposed of patriarchy. This research aims to answer the question how levels of matriarchal society described in the novel The Secret Life of Bees through women characters in the story. This study applies descriptive qualitative method and typically library research. This research applies socio-historical approach in order to look at the relation between literary work and society’s historical elements that happen in the past. At political level, August character shows as the matriarch or the leader in community with important role for overcoming conflict and decision making process. At economical level, it shows that matriarchal society common practice has right and same position in economic affair and giving gift each other to make the economic condition balance. Last, at spiritual and cultural level, it is described that women characters in The Secret Life of Bees believe in feminine divine which is the Black Mary and doing worship for her. The subject of this research is the images of game and gamers. In the space of literary work, they are arrayed in metaphorical and often demonic raiment, receiving moral-ethical interpretation in one or another way. The problem of game and gamer in criticism was regarded by Y. Mann (&ldquo;On the Concept of Game as a Literary Image&rdquo;), V. V. Vinogradov (&ldquo;Style of the Queen of Spades&rdquo;), E. Dobin (&ldquo;Ace and Queen&rdquo;, A. Pushkin&rsquo;s &ldquo;The Queen of Spades&rdquo;), R. Caillois (&ldquo;Games and People&rdquo;), British writer and researcher of online games R, Bartle, American scientist Nick Yee, and many others. However, juxtaposition of literature sources on the topic to the research in the field of computer games is conducted for the first time. The scientific novelty consists in the comprehensive examination of the psychological game of the gamer based on the material of Russian literature (A. S. Pushkin &ldquo;The Queen of Spades&rdquo;, V. V. Nabokov The Luzhin Defense&rdquo;) , as well as the modern computer games practice, in which psychological type of the gamer found its realization and development in accordance with genre diversity. Even the Russian classical literature depict game as an autonomous space that encompasses the gamer, and often has devastating effect on their personality. The author also observes an important characterological trait of the gamer: the conceptual, &ldquo;literal&rdquo; perception of the world, which is based on the reception of visual images of the world against verbal. Therefore, the Russian literature alongside the research practice of modern videogames from different angles approach examination of the images of &ldquo;game and gamer&rdquo;, cognize the factors and consequences of the problems that emerge in this object field, as well as seek for their solution. The data acquired in the course of the conducted comparative analysis is mutually enriching.

Literary works are never separated from previous works or other texts. “Aku Dipenogoro!” is a literary work in the form of a drama script written by Landung Simatupang which was inspired by the power of divination by Peter Carey. The process of forming a literary work based on the acceptance of the past works can be said to be a reception. Therefore, this study used a reception approach to see how far the acceptance of previous works in Aku Dipenogoro!. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. In this case, the researcher compares the texts by looking at the similarities and differences. Furthermore, the findings are described. Based on the results of the analysis conducted by Aku Dipenogoro! as a literary work made several changes from the previous work (Peter Carey's Power of Prediction). These changes are used to give a dramatic effect in the work. Improvisation is used to get certain effects and aesthetics in a work. As a drama script Aku Dipenogoro! refers to dramatic effects in the performing arts (theater).

ISTANBUL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Istanbul International Film Festival (31 March-15 April 2007) celebrated its 26th birthday this spring with more than 200 films from around the world. This year, for the first time in its history, the festival opened with a film by a Turkish director, Ferzan Özpetek although the Italian production Saturn Opposite about depressed 40-year olds nostalgic about their youth, featuring some of the well-known actors of Italy could hardly be considered a Turkish film. The closing film was the US production, The Good German by Steven Soderbergh featuring George Clooney and Cate Blanchett. The films that compete for the Golden Tulip award are chosen for their relation to art and the artist or are adaptations from literary works. The fact that Istanbul takes place shortly before Cannes makes it rather difficult to find quality films for the International Competition, which had not been previously screened elsewhere....
