After a period of operation imported mining equipment starts failing. As a rule, breakages and critical wear of parts do not involve the entire product, but its individual parts. Despite this, manufacturers of this equipment do not provide repair kits, but offer to change the units and assemblies entirely. As a result, the repair and maintenance of imported equipment imposes significant financial costs. This paper proposes ways to eliminate or reduce the additional costs. The problem solution is based on the determination of the chemical composition and structure of worn out or out-of-order parts, reproduction of their manufacturing technology and production of analogues of these parts in single quantities. The work is performed on the example of high-pressure pump parts and large-sized gears used in mining equipment. For high-pressure pumps, analogues of end sealing gaskets and bearing bushings were made. The obtained experience can be used in the manufacturing and restoration of mining equipment in the Kuzbass enterprises, which allows reducing financial costs and implementing import substitution. The research part of the work was performed in the metallurgical laboratories of KuzSTU, and the reproduction of worn out and out-of-order parts was carried out at enterprises which requested this study.

Coal is important basic energy and important raw materials, the development of coal industry to support the rapid development of the national economy. In the 1950s and 1960s, the proportion of coal in China's primary energy production and consumption structure accounted for 90% and 80% respectively, and the proportion of coal in 2004 was 75.6% and 67.7% respectively. In recent years, with the rapid development of fully mechanized mining equipment manufacturing technology, fully mechanized mining equipment to heavy, strong and automated, so that the reliability of the equipment is guaranteed, a strong impetus to the development of large mining technology, new round of coal mining technology revolution, the current in the East, Jincheng and other mining areas have been the first in the thick coal seam f = 1.5-5 use of large mining height fully mechanized mining equipment, to achieve the highest efficiency, the lowest cost of tons of coal. The main points of this paper are: in the production of coal enterprises to improve the competitiveness of the coal market. Conditions and conditions of coal storage conditions should be allowed to give priority to the use of large mining and mining methods.

When forming contract requirements to the developed mining equipment we suggest taking into consideration not only the exploration data but also their inaccuracy degree. The authors describe the theoretical basics of determining the inaccuracy degree and the class of geoinformation models reflecting their pattern of change in the underground space. It is noted that implementation of the given approach will reduce the risks of investment losses of equipment consumers and those of face losses of producers.

The interest of Russian and foreign investors in the coal industry is great enough. In the Russian coal industry, it is necessary to invest mainly those investments that relate to highly innovative technologies and promote the introduction of innovative projects in the field of geological exploration, coal mining and processing. First of all, it concerns coal engineering, certain areas in the areas of coal processing and processing, innovative activity of the organization, complex of security measures and organization of coal mining. It should be noted that with a common similarity in the direction of creative activity of domestic and foreign inventors vary considerably. Abroad, most of the patents apply to the construction of mining equipment with the simultaneous patenting of ways to use this design. In Russia, most of the patents protect the development methods intended for use in specific conditions of a certain deposit, as well as the methods of using certain equipment in different conditions. The analysis of innovative activity of organizations of Russia in comparison with the EU countries was carried out, which showed that the share of organizations that carry out innovations: technological, marketing and organizational is much lower than in Western Europe. Basically, the patents received in Russia relating to the coal industry are aimed at underground methods of coal mining. The creative activity of domestic inventors is mainly aimed at improving the ways of using existing equipment.Private companies (for coal mining and processing) without state involvement will not be able to modernize existing technologies and equipment in a short time. In this regard, the financing of innovative projects in the coal sector should be carried out within the framework of the public-private partnership for the implementation of large innovative projects of the coal business. Patents provide an opportunity to learn about current research and existing technology stocks of companies in various countries long before the advent of innovative products on the market and to avoid the risk of authors of development for obtaining a patent.

Traditionally, in any country, mining industry is a strategic sector of the economy, for the development of which a large amount of resources necessary for the production of modern mining equipment, machinery and mechanisms are allocated. In recent years, a steady trend of technical re-equipment of mining enterprises is noted. This measure allows improving labor productivity and increasing the depth of mining due to the modernization of the existing mining equipment and the introduction of the new one; key attention being paid to the quality and reliability of the equipment produced. The current situation of the domestic mining machinery manufacturing market clearly demonstrates a strong dependence on foreign suppliers. In this case, a competent approach to the issues of import substitution in the industry, providing for the development and production of competitive domestic mining equipment that meets all the requirements and expectations of consumers, is urgently needed. As a rule, manufacturers of mining equipment use the entire machinery manufacturing cycle, ranging from blanking and to product assembly. At all stages of manufacturing, it is necessary to follow part processing technology, providing for the assurance of the required surface roughness, surface layer properties and other quality indicators. All this can be provided by a promising method of part processing – tumbling.

The article examines the state of production capacity of Russian industry. It is shown that in spite of certain positive shifts, the rate of technological modernization in recent years has been insufficient for marked progressive changes in the capacity structure and quality. In contrast to the industrial growth after the crisis of 1998 that took place in the presence of significant reserves of capacity, the current level of idle capacity is much lower. The lack of mass input of modern and high-tech industries objectively limits the possibilities of import substitution and economic growth.
