When forming contract requirements to the developed mining equipment we suggest taking into consideration not only the exploration data but also their inaccuracy degree. The authors describe the theoretical basics of determining the inaccuracy degree and the class of geoinformation models reflecting their pattern of change in the underground space. It is noted that implementation of the given approach will reduce the risks of investment losses of equipment consumers and those of face losses of producers.

Coal is important basic energy and important raw materials, the development of coal industry to support the rapid development of the national economy. In the 1950s and 1960s, the proportion of coal in China's primary energy production and consumption structure accounted for 90% and 80% respectively, and the proportion of coal in 2004 was 75.6% and 67.7% respectively. In recent years, with the rapid development of fully mechanized mining equipment manufacturing technology, fully mechanized mining equipment to heavy, strong and automated, so that the reliability of the equipment is guaranteed, a strong impetus to the development of large mining technology, new round of coal mining technology revolution, the current in the East, Jincheng and other mining areas have been the first in the thick coal seam f = 1.5-5 use of large mining height fully mechanized mining equipment, to achieve the highest efficiency, the lowest cost of tons of coal. The main points of this paper are: in the production of coal enterprises to improve the competitiveness of the coal market. Conditions and conditions of coal storage conditions should be allowed to give priority to the use of large mining and mining methods.

Background:: China's thin and extremely thin coal seam resources are widely distributed and rich in reserves. These coal seams account for 20% of the recoverable reserves, with 9.83 billion tons of industrial reserves and 6.15 billion tons of recoverable reserves. Objective: Due to the complex geological conditions of the thin coal seam, the plow mining method cannot be effectively popularized, and the drum mining method is difficult to be popularized and applied in small and medium-sized coal mines, so it is necessary to find other more advantageous alternative mining methods. Methods: The equipment integrates mining operations, conveying operations, and supporting operations, and is suitable for mining short and extremely thin coal seam with a height of 0.35m-0.8m and width of 2m-20m. It has the advantages of the low body of the shearer, no additional support on the working face, and small underground space. The mining efficiency of thin coal seam and very thin coal seam can be improved and the mining cost can be reduced. Results: Thin coal seam shear mining combines mining, conveying, and supporting processes together and has the advantages of a low fuselage, no extra support required for the working face, and feasibility in a small underground space. Conclusion: The summarized mining method can improve the mining efficiency of thin and extremely thin coal seams, reduce mining costs, and incorporate green mining practices, which take both mining economy and safety into account.

AbstractConcentrating tables are a group of one of the oldest and most precise gravitational concentrators with a broad spectrum of application. They were used mainly for the anthracite enrichment process in the domestic coal industry. Conducted research prove that they can be also used for the enrichment of fine grained coals types. The article discusses the results of coal sludge enrichment using WILFLEY concentration tables, as the results obtained show that coal sludge enrichment using these concentration tables allows for the production of coal concentrates and half-products of satisfying quality parameters, the ash content of which varies between several and a dozen or so percent. The reciprocal connection between the actual contents and enrichment process has been determined based on a dependency analysis between the changing characteristics. The correlation analysis allowed for an evaluation of the dependencies between the technological parameters of the enrichment process and the obtained qualitative-quantitative parameters results, which allows the given mineral enrichment process to perform correctly. The enrichment process of the studied sludge has been performed using the most unfavorable construction parameters i.e. using sulcate plate, its inclination angle remained at 6°, furthermore studied material has not been hyphenated.

The interest of Russian and foreign investors in the coal industry is great enough. In the Russian coal industry, it is necessary to invest mainly those investments that relate to highly innovative technologies and promote the introduction of innovative projects in the field of geological exploration, coal mining and processing. First of all, it concerns coal engineering, certain areas in the areas of coal processing and processing, innovative activity of the organization, complex of security measures and organization of coal mining. It should be noted that with a common similarity in the direction of creative activity of domestic and foreign inventors vary considerably. Abroad, most of the patents apply to the construction of mining equipment with the simultaneous patenting of ways to use this design. In Russia, most of the patents protect the development methods intended for use in specific conditions of a certain deposit, as well as the methods of using certain equipment in different conditions. The analysis of innovative activity of organizations of Russia in comparison with the EU countries was carried out, which showed that the share of organizations that carry out innovations: technological, marketing and organizational is much lower than in Western Europe. Basically, the patents received in Russia relating to the coal industry are aimed at underground methods of coal mining. The creative activity of domestic inventors is mainly aimed at improving the ways of using existing equipment.Private companies (for coal mining and processing) without state involvement will not be able to modernize existing technologies and equipment in a short time. In this regard, the financing of innovative projects in the coal sector should be carried out within the framework of the public-private partnership for the implementation of large innovative projects of the coal business. Patents provide an opportunity to learn about current research and existing technology stocks of companies in various countries long before the advent of innovative products on the market and to avoid the risk of authors of development for obtaining a patent.

In this paper, we discuss an issue of underwater mining and why modern mining equipment does not fit this purpose. Working in such complicated conditions often has an unsatisfying performance level. We analyzed the processes of mining materials that have not been preliminary dewatered. We also describe variations of positioning system and the importance of their use in underwater mining. A theoretical analysis of excavation process with a perforated bucket has been performed. We present a formula that allows assessing extent of bucket loading by parameters of the working face development. Another formula that allows determining the number of excavation cycles required to complete the bucket loading. A formula for parametric length of working face arc determining by the given stratum depth was introduced. Basing on the acquired formulae, we formulated another one that determines the number of excavation cycles necessary for complete face development for specified cutting parameters. An aggregated graph showing the dependency of the number of excavation cycles on peat shavings width and thickness variables. On the basis of the resulting graph, the best variant for the most complete bucket loading was chosen. In conclusion, we highlighted the peculiarities of underwater mining.

Abstract. The Thematic Apperception Test is one of the most frequently administered apperceptive techniques. Formal scoring systems are helpful in evaluating story responses. TAT stories, made by 20 males and 20 females in the situation of legal divorce proceedings, were coded for detection and comparison of their personal problem solving ability. The evaluating instrument utilized was the Personal Problem Solving System-Revised (PPSS-R) as developed by G. F. Ronan. The results indicate that in relation to card 1, men more often than women saw the cause of the problem as removable. With card 6GF, women were more motivated to resolve the given problem than were men, women had a higher personal control and their stories contained more optimism compared to men’s stories. In relation to card 6BM women, more often than men, used emotions generated from the problem to orient themselves within the problem. With card 13MF, the men’s level of stress was less compared to that of the women, and men were more able to plan within the context of problem-solving. Significant differences in the examined groups were found in those cards which depicted significant gender and parental potentials. The TAT can be used to help identify personality characteristics and gender differences.

A basic concept for the automatic diagnosis of histo-pathological specimen is presented. The algorithm is based on tissue structures of the original organ. Low power magnification was used to inspect the specimens. The form of the given tissue structures, e. g. diameter, distance, shape factor and number of neighbours, is measured. Graph theory is applied by using the center of structures as vertices and the shortest connection of neighbours as edges. The algorithm leads to two independent sets of parameters which can be used for diagnostic procedures. First results with colon tissue show significant differences between normal tissue, benign and malignant growth. Polyps form glands that are twice as wide as normal and carcinomatous tissue. Carcinomas can be separated by the minimal distance of the glands formed. First results of pattern recognition using graph theory are discussed.

The contribution of a special library project to a computerized problem-oriented medical information system (PROMIS) is discussed. Medical information displays developed by the PROMIS medical staff are accessible to the health care provider via touch screen cathode terminals. Under PROMIS, members of the library project developed two information services, one concerned with the initial building of the medical displays and the other with the updating of this information. Information from 88 medical journals is disseminated to physicians involved in the building of the medical displays. Articles meeting predetermined selection criteria are abstracted and the abstracts are made available by direct selective dissemination or via a problem-oriented abstract file. The updating service involves comparing the information contained in the selected articles with the computerized medical displays on the given topic. Discrepancies are brought to the attention of PROMIS medical staff members who evaluate the information and make appropriate changes in the displays. Thus a feedback loop is maintained which assures the completeness, accuracy, and currency of the computerized medical information. The development of this library project and its interface with the computerized health care system thus attempts to deal with the problems in the generation, validation, dissemination, and application of medical literature.
