<h5><em>Companies carrying out CSR activities can be grouped into three motives, such as: financial motive, ethical motive and altruistic motive. These three motives are the foundation of the company in planning their CSR activities each year. Each motive course has a purpose that has a good impact on the economic and social aspects of the company. A good corporate image ultimately gained public’s trust and will have a positive effect on the financial side of the company and the company's stock.</em></h5><h5><em>This research will focus on CSR disclosure (CSD) based on company’s motive and check its effect on company's financial performance based on market measurement, seen from investor reaction proxied with stock return. This study uses 56 company annual reports from 2013 to 2016, listed in the "Indonesia Most Trusted Companies Awards" which are fully published in 2014 until 2017 by SWA Magazine.</em></h5><h5><em>The method of statistical analysis in this study using moderated regression analysis, where independent variables of corporate social disclosure (CSD) using financial, ethical and altruistic motives. While the dependent variable in the form of Corporate Financial Performance (CFP) based on market measurements proxied through stock return.</em></h5><h5><em>The result of the research shows that corporate social disclosure (CSD) based on financial motive gives effect to stock return, while CSD with ethic motive and altruistic motive can’t provide sufficient evidence to influence the rate of return stock.</em></h5><h5><em> </em></h5><p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><strong><em>: </em></strong><em>CSD, CFP, CSR, CSR Motive</em></p>

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh langsung dari corporate social responsibility (CSR) terhadap financial performance, serta pengaruh tidak langsung corporate social responsibility terhadap financial performance melalui intellectual capital sebagai variabel mediasi. Pengolahan data menggunakan software Smart PLS. Data penelitian ini berasal dari laporan tahunan masing-masing perusahaan yang tergolong subsektor bank dan terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2011-2018. Data kuantitatif sekunder tersebut dihitung menggunakan rumus Corporate Social Disclosure Index sebagai indikator CSR, Value Added Intellectual Coefficient (VAICTM) sebagai indikator intellectual capital, Tobin’s Q sebagai indikator financial performance. Hasil penelitian ini membuktikan adanya pengaruh positif dari corporate social responsibility terhadap financial performance, corporate social responsibility terhadap intellectual capital, dan intellectual capital terhadap financial performance.

This research examines social and environmental NGO usage of corporate social disclosure. The research confirms that social and environment groups are users of corporate social disclosure, however in contrast to earlier NGO studies, such as Tilt (1994), Annual Reports appear to be no longer the preferred medium of use. The results reveal a relative consistency in NGO viewpoints regarding corporate social disclosure across time, and show that NGOs view corporate social disclosure as low in credibility and insufficient even when relevant.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the relationship between a commercial bank’s micro-loaning activity and overall performance over a 10-year period. Design/methodology/approach Quarterly data was obtained from the Wind Database, China Minsheng Banks’s official annual reports and annual corporate social responsibility reports from 2009 to 2019, to test the linear relationship between micro-loan activities and the overall financial performance of the bank. Findings The results of this study empirically demonstrate that there is a positive relationship between increases in micro-loaning activity and the overall performance of the bank. Some key recommendations for the sector are shared in the conclusion of this paper. Originality/value In the financial sector, some corporate social responsibility activities focus on the issuance of micro-loans. It is unclear, however, if this has also served as a means to increase profitability and overall performance for such institutions.

The aim of this study is to investigate the role of Islamic Corporate Social Responsibility in moderating the effect of zakat on Islamic commercial banks’ financial performance. Out of 13 Islamic commercial bank listed by Otoritas Jasa Keuangan from 2012 to 2017, there were only five banks reporting Statement of Zakat Fund Sources and Disbursements. Hence, the final samples of this study consist of 30 observation data. Secondary data collected from 30 annual reports were gathered through documentation. This study utilizes moderated regression analysis to test three research hypotheses. The results shows several findings. Firstly, the amount of corporate zakat being reported in the Statement of Zakat Fund Sources and Disbursements has positive impact on Islamic banks’ financial performance. Secondly, Islamic CSR as measured by Islamic reporting index developed by Belal et al. (2015) has negative impact on Islamic Banks’ financial performance. Thirdly, the role of Islamic CSR in moderating the effect of zakat on financial performance was confirmed.

This research aimed to determine the effect of CSR cost that the company paid for community, social, environment, etc. based on financial motive, ethic motive and altruistic motive simultaneously or partial, on the ROE and ROS of company.The research is quantitative research with the help of IBM SPSS Software 21 version with regression analysis. Population of this research is manufactured company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the period 2011-2014. Samples were collected by purposive sampling method and 10 companies are used for this research.The result of the test is CSR cost based on ethic motive have a positive significant effect on ROE and ROS (sig. &lt; 0,05). However, both CSR cost based on financial motive and altruistic motive have no-significant effect on ROE and ROS (sig. &gt; 0,05). For the future research, the researcher recommend that the company which listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange are more transparent and detailed information on the CSR include the activities, the CSR target, the cost that company spend and all the other data about CSR. Then, the company which do the CSR investment and transparent with the CSR report can attract other potential investor for the company, so that can make a positive effect on the financial statement.<br />Keywords: CSR Motive, Financial Motive, Ethic motive, Altruistic Motive

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of firm age, leverage, profitability, liquidity, and gender on corporate social disclosure. Corporate social disclosure is measured using content analysis methods based on GRI Standards 2016. This research is based on a quantitative method using multiple linier regression analysis. The population of this study is manufacturing companies listed on London Stock Exchange in 2015-2017. The data analysis tool used is the IBM SPSS 21 program. The conclusion of this study is that leverage variable has a significant negative effect on corporate social disclosure, while firm age, profitability, liquidity, and gender variables have no significant effect on corporate social disclosure. The results showed that leverage has a negative and significant effect on corporate social disclosure. Firm age, profitability, liquidity, and gender have not a significant effect on corporate social disclosure.
