The city of Jakarta has several main tourist attractions that are interesting to visit. As the Capital of the State of Indonesia, it will certainly be ogled and visited by local and foreign tourists. However, there is limited information, tourists from outside the Jakarta area lack complete information on tourism in the city of Jakarta and the roads that must be taken to tourist sites, due to the number of roads and heavy traffic, this makes it a problem when you want to vacation in the city of Jakarta. Therefore, the author designed an application called Jakvel based on Android, this application provides information and looks for the shortest path to tourist sites for tourists who want to vacation in Jakarta. In this study using the A-star and Brute Force algorithms. The A-star algorithm will be applied to find the shortest path to tourist sites and the brute force algorithm is used to search for words (strings) in selecting tours. With this application, it is hoped that it will make it easier for tourists outside the Jakarta area to find out tourist information and help find the shortest path to locations in the city of Jakarta. After testing of 10 tourist sites to determine the shortest path by comparing the A-star algorithm with Google Maps based on Android, with a 70% success rate in finding the shortest path using the A-star algorithm and the results of string search testing using the Brute Force algorithm have a percentage of 100% accurate

Lombok Island is one of the tourist destinations in Indonesia that has the potential to be developed. Based on data from the NTB Provincial Tourism Office at the end of 2019, the number of tourist visits was 3,706,352 tourists, with details of 1,550,751 foreign tourists and 2,155,561 domestic tourists. Based on the 2018-2023 Strategic Plan, the Culture and Tourism Office of West Nusa Tenggara Province, the island of Lombok has potential tourism objects such as beach tourism, waterfalls, mountains, culinary, culture, religion, and others. However, not all existing tourist attractions are known by visiting tourists, both the location of tourist attractions or the distance traveled to tourist sites, so it is necessary to make efforts to increase the number of visitors who come to the island of Lombok through various efforts. One of the efforts that can be done is the application of an Android-based tourism system so that it can be accessed by foreign tourists or domestic tourists who can provide complete information about tourist information on the island of Lombok. The system development method used in this research is the Research and Development (R&D) method. Geographic Information Systems with the Research and Development (R&D) method can provide good results and can be proven from the limited test results getting an average result of 71.45% with "GOOD" criteria, and field testing with an average result of 72.32 % with “GOOD” Criteria

The tourism sector in the province of Teruel (Aragon, Spain) is increasing rapidly. Although the number of domestic and foreign tourists is continuously growing, there are some tourist attractions spread over a wide geographical area, which are only visited by a few people at specific times of the year. Additionally, having human tourist guides everywhere and speaking different languages is unfeasible. An integrated solution based on smart and interactive Embodied Conversational Agents (ECAs) tourist guides combined with ontologies would overcome this problem. This paper presents a smart tourist information points approach which gathers tourism information about Teruel, structured according to a novel lightweight ontology built on OWL (Ontology Web Language), known as TITERIA (Touristic Information of TEruel for Intelligent Agents). Our proposal, which combines TITERIA with the Maxine platform, is capable of responding appropriately to the users thanks to its Artificial Intelligence Modeling Language (AIML) database and the AI techniques added to Maxine. Preliminary results indicate that our prototype is able to inform users about interesting topics, as well as to propose other related information, allowing them to acquire a complete information about any issue. Furthermore, users can directly talk with an artificial actor making communication much more natural and closer.

Sports Tourism as a segment is growing exponentially in Brazil. The sports mega-events that occurred in the period from 2007 to 2016 helped strengthen this sector significantly. This article examined tourism mobility during the Summer Olympic Games Rio 2016, hosted by the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This study expands the understanding of the relationship between tourism and city infrastructure, therefore being relevant to academics, professionals of the area and to the whole society due to its multidisciplinary field. The existence of a relationship between means of transportation and the Olympic regions as well as tourist attractions for a possible legacy was observed. Data were collected from official sources, field research and through participant-observation and semi structured interviews. Data were coded and analyzed. The results indicate that the city was overall successful in its execution of sufficient mobility. New means of transportation were added and others updated. BRT's (Bus Rapid Transit) were the main use of mass transport to Olympic sites. However, a lack of public transport access was observed for the touristic sites.

Abstract The city of Granada is experimenting a big urban transformation, attending national and international commitments on clean air, energy efficiency and savings linked to greenhouse gases reduction strategies and sustainable development action plans. This situation constitutes a good scenario for new noise control approaches that take into account the sound variable and citizens empowering in urban design, such as the soundscape assessment of urban territory. In this way, soundscape tools have been used in Granada as a complementary method for environmental noise characterisation where traditional noise control techniques are difficult to be carried out or give limited results. After 2016 strategic noise map and in the preparation of the new noise action plan, the city came across a great acoustic challenge in a new area located outskirts characterised by growing urbanisation, still under development, the greatest legal protection because of sensitive teaching and hospital buildings and the greatest noise exposure from nearby ring-way supporting heavy traffic flow. As quiet urban areas are not characterised by the absence of noise but for the presence of the right noise, this research intended to provide the local administration with results and proposals to transform this conflict area in a pleasant or quiet urban place. Main results came from important and significative differences in morning and evening characterisation, as great differences appear in soundscape assessment over the day and along the soundwalk path, indicating the importance of time and local issues to adequately characterised citizens perception to be considered by administration in the development of strategies and effective noise control actions.

AbstractLake sediments were studied from four lakes in environmentally different areas in northern Finland. Lakes Pyykösjärvi and Kuivasjärvi are situated near roads with heavy traffic and the city of Oulu. Lakes Martinlampi and Umpilampi are small lakes in a forest area with no immediate human impact nearby. The concentration of Pb increases in the upper parts of the sedimentary columns of Lake Kuivasjärvi and Lake Pyykösjärvi. This is interpreted as being an anthropogenic effect related to heavy traffic in the area and use of Lake Pyykösjärvi as an airport during World War II. High Ni and Zn concentrations in the Lake Umpilampi sediments are caused by weathered black schists. Sediments in Lake Martinlampi show high Pb and Zn contents with increasing Pb concentrations up through the sedimentary column. The sources of these elements are probably Pb-Zn mineralization in the bedrock, Pb-Zn-rich boulders and anomalous Pb and Zn contents in till in the catchment area of the lake.
