Evaluation is a process or activity of selecting, collecting, analyzing and presenting information that can be used as a basis for decision making and for the preparation of further programs. Petronila Jean describes that education and training is the method of technical and vocational education and training which is appreciated as an effort to acquire practical skills, attitudes, understanding and being able to process them in Best Practice and generate an idea or idea about a technique, method, process, activity. , intensive so as to provide them with new knowledge and implications. This study aims to analyze and find outResult Evaluation on the implementation of training to strengthen school supervisors based on Best Practice, HOTS and adult learning. This research method uses qualitative methods with a sample of 100 school supervisors. The data in this study were collected using a questionnaire and reliability testing was carried out with Cronbach Alpha. The results of the study describe the Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model in the Training Program for strengthening school supervisorsThe results of the learning outcomes of the training participants have increased and the difference is significant, it's just that when viewed from each aspect, namely aspects of knowledge, understanding and application, that the results obtained have increased but the results of the differences and the improvements are not significant.

The advent of Industrial Revolutions that swept the region has not spared the Malaysian business landscape.  This has compelled industries to produce highly skilled workforce (Yizit and Yezim Denis, 2018) to promote knowledge-based skills in various sectors in Malaysia. Anticipating this change, the Malaysian Government initiated Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) program to address the issue during the early 90’s. However, the current highly pedagogical supply driven TVET system has not addressed the need to effectively upskill and reskill workforce talents to achieve maximum productivity. Hence, this study, which is grounded on empowerment theory, aims to develop mechanisms to skew the path towards industry-driven TVET by adopting heutagogical approaches that promotes lifelong and independent adult learning (Blaschke, 2012). The study will be executed using sequential exploratory design (mixed method) beginning with qualitative followed by a quantitative study by collecting samples via stratified random and proportional sampling technique whereby a framework will be developed to enable Government policymakers an impetus to formulate relevant strategies that forges the collaboration between the industry and academia.

This article advocates workplace adult education and training researchers and scholar practitioners interested in career and technical education (CTE), adult education and technology, and who are attempting social and cultural critiques of workplace e-learning. The emphasis on the technological and artefactual in workplace e-learning research and study are not producing the expected learning outcomes from workplace adult education and training to the degree anticipated. Given increasingly global and diverse workforces, the research and study of workplace e-learning as a socio-culturally ‘negotiated’ space may be an alternate approach toward a more socially and culturally informed understanding of adult learning from workplace e-learning.

This paper, primarily based on a literature review, considers the utilization of adult learning principles in training learners to operate high risk equipment. Vocational Education and Training sectors throughout the world are traditionally responsible for training delivery in these areas where generally andragogical principles as defined by Knowles (1970), are applied with, in some cases, application of a heutagogical approach, as outlined by Hase and Kenyon (2000). Aside from considering these approaches, a new approach is proposed, referred to as authology, with a basis of including notions of responsibility and duty of care in adult learning. There are numerous training programs in vocational education and training, such as those related to high risk equipment and plant operation, for which development of learner responsibility is a critical component in the training given the potential to cause harm, injury or fatality.

The steady increase in science-related requirements in operational areas of skilled and managing workforce is influencing worldwide the discourse on shaping professionalization.  This article focuses on the compatibility of professional and scientific competence-oriented learning outcomes of qualification programmes within and across the education and training sectors. It is assumed that there is not, per se, a conceptual dichotomy in designing education and training programmes and credentials in a competence-oriented manner to address complex  professional  and scientific  requirements in education and training in a compatible way. The article tries to shift the discussion  from a systemic and institutional focus to a conceptual- and requirement-oriented perspective on qualification design.  Using Germany as an example, it discusses the conceptual intersections of Vocational Education and Training and academic Higher Education  on competence,  and comparatively analyzes competence-oriented instruments for the classification and the transparency of learning outcomes and their application in the education practice of  dual study programmes with vocational reference qualifications. On this basis, the article elucidates identified characteristics of comprehensive professional-scientific competences and relevant requirement areas in education and training. In addition, further  prerequisites for an integrated competence acquisition in education programmes are discussed as well. It is assumed that these characteristics can also be regarded as  important prerequisites for the connectivity of qualifications and permeable pathways  within and between education systems.

The research aims to find out: (1) how far PBL has been used as a learning model in the vocational environment; and (2) how far is the influence of PBL on learning outcomes? The study was conducted with literature studies through theoretical and empirical studies of references and relevant research results, and continued with focus group discussions (FGD). The relevant references include learning theories, and theories about problem base learning (PBL). While the study of the results of relevant research, is a study of studies on the influence of PBL on "learning out comes" in vocational high school students as an integral part of technical, vocational, education and training (TVET). The study concluded that: (1) PBL has been widely used in learning in the vocational environment; (2) PBL is able to improve student learning achievement both process and results; and (3) the number of students who actively study, the number of students who ask questions, and student learning outcomes increase significantly on the application of PBL.

PurposeIn light of university business English pedagogical innovation, this study reports an empirical study with 66 English major participants.Design/methodology/approachThe study uses online survey and participant observation to investigate their practice-oriented motivation and needs, the perceptions of using vocational education and training pedagogy in business English teaching and the learning outcomes in a Chinese university context.FindingsThe study found participants with motivations to learn business and trade knowledge, develop practice-oriented abilities and the preferences of learning flexibly and autonomously. For the perceptions of using vocational education and training pedagogy, simulations of meetings and negotiations were recommended and the job-based competency development model was useful. Workplace simulation was also particularly suggested to bridge the gap between classroom and workplace. For learning outcomes, writing practices and workplace simulation were considered particularly useful. The learning gains were found in international trade correspondence writing. While the intention of continuing learning business English correspondence writing was identified, more opportunities should be created for more practice-oriented activities, such as internship or corporate visit.Originality/valueInformed by vocational education and training theory, the study has important pedagogical, theoretical and policy implications for business English teaching in both China and worldwide contexts.

MODEL EVALUASI KIRIKPATRICK DAN APLIKASINYADALAM PELAKSANAAN PELATIHAN (LEVEL REAKSI DAN PEMBELAJARAN)DI PUSAT PENDIDIKAN DAN PELATIHAN PERUM JAKARTAHania AminahFakultas Ekonomi, Universitas Negeri JakartaEmail: [email protected] order to avoid the inefficiency of the training, the training should be measured. Theresearch aim to determine the effectiveness of information and training through theimplementation of the evaluation model is to implement two levels which consist of reactionsand learning levels, using Kirkpatrick’s model. This research was conducted at the Learningand Training Center of Central Jakarta, with a sample of all participants of training. Datacollection using a questionnaire that has been tested by using content validity, whereas testsuse SPSS.The results showed that the reaction of trainees are satisfied with the implementation of thetraining that was conducted and the results are good and improving learning are assessedfrom the pre-test and post-test. The resulting increase in the difference was significant, butwhen viewed from the aspect of knowledge, understanding and application, the result of thedifference increased, but not significantly. Keywords: Training, Evaluation, Kirkpatrick Model, Employees
