The article analyses the current situation and problems of recreational facilities in Ternopil region in the context of long-term programs of tourism development in the region. The main directions of optimization of the territorial organization of recreational facilities area were singled out. Strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the industry in the region were determined using the SWOT-analysis. Key words: natural resource tourism potential, tourism, potential, territorial organization, infrastructure, recreational facilities.

This article has the basic objective of assessing the potential, current situation and proposing solutions for sustainable tourism development in Northwest region of Vietnam. The main research methods are: Theoretical research - general analysis of documents and datasets; and Field research. This article has assessed the potential for both the natural potential and the cultural potential for tourism development; and analyzed the current situation and proposed solutions to develop tourism in a sustainable manner. Some of the most important solutions for sustainable tourism development are: high quality human resource training, investment in infrastructure construction capital, technical facilities for tourism, diversification of tourism products, environmental protection, good propaganda, and promotion of products and destinations as a whole better exploit the tourism potential of the region.

The article is devoted to the study of the urgent topic of the development of tourism potential as a basis for youth events. A model of the system of tourism potential components is presented, which includes the natural resource potential of the tourism sector, historical and cultural potential, infrastructure potential, financial potential, information potential, investment potential, managerial potential, social potential of the tourism sector, labor potential. Due to the fact that the tourism potential of the territories is a system, its main features are distinguished: dynamism, hierarchy, ability to transform, inversion, development, etc. Due to the fact that at the present stage, potential management problems are becoming more complicated, included in the tourist potential of the territories, the management of territories in the field of tourism development, including its potentials, should develop as a synthesis of two aspects: improving scientific and practical activities and developing management phenomena as art. A special role is given to youth events, highlighting the largest and most important ones that are developing in certain parts of Russia. These regions have the most powerful tourism potential and tourist infrastructure.

The authors of the article discuss tourism development conditions in the municipalities in Eastern Aukštaitija region. Scientific problem: tourism development trends at local, municipality, level have not been sufficiently studied in Lithuania, tourism has been developing without a clear, long-term development strategy and a consistent tourism development programme in districts. Scientific literature review, survey results, document, SWOT analysis are provided in the paper.

Tourism development in an area is able to give an impact on various dimensions of local people life. One of the impacts of tourism development is on the economic dimension. It happened to Sawahlunto, a city in West Sumatera famous for its coal mines, which slowly developed into a tourist city. The purpose of this study was to find out the Strength & Weakness, Opportunity & Threat and to formulate the development strategy of Kota Tua as a tourism destination in Sawahlunto, West Sumatra. The research method is descriptive method using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the development strategy of the Old City area of Sawahlunto used a lot of SWOT analysis, namely by increasing and optimizing natural resources through good processing, improving road access, and improving the tourism sector of Old City Sawahlunto. Another strategy is improving human resources through counseling and training, socialization of science and technology. The tourism potential of Sawahlunto old town on the 4A tourism component (Attraction, Accessibility, Amenities and Ancillary) shows that this area has the potential of historical tourist attraction. The historical heritage of World War II in Sawahlunto is the main tourism potential that is stored. With historical tourism potential, foreign tourists are the target of tourists who are expected to visit Sawahlunto. In order for a historical tourism potential strategy to be implemented, it is necessary to meet the minimum criteria of the tourism component. To meet the service standards of all 4A tourism components, it is necessary to improve the management of 4A tourism components including Attraction, Accessibility, Ancillary, and Amenity.

The research objective was to describe the potential for waterfall tourism in Sambangan Village and to analyze strategies to develop the tourist attraction of the waterfall in Sambangan Village. Collecting data by means of observation, interviews, and document recording was analyzed with qualitative analysis to describe the potential for waterfall tourism in Sambangan Village and SWOT analysis to formulate a waterfall tourism development strategy. The results showed (1) classification of waterfall tourism potential in Sambangan Village, namely the classification of low tourism potential (Barak Wall Waterfall), medium tourism potential classification (Changing Waterfall, Dedari Waterfall, Cemara Waterfall), and high tourism potential classification ( Aling Aling Waterfall, Kembar Waterfall, Kroya Waterfall, Pucuk Waterfall) and (2) A strategic plan for developing a waterfall tourist attraction, namely by developing and improving various components including tourist attractions, accessibility, facilities, institutions, and preservation. environment to increase tourists to the waterfall in Sambangan Village.

Cilacap is one of the districts in Central Java that has tourism potential with various tourism destination. One of them is Waduk Kubangkangkung. This Waduk Kubangkangkung is a tourism destination that offers beautiful natural tourism and also attractive tourism attraction. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the local community in Waduk Kubangkangkung development, knowing the manager‘s efforts in developing Waduk Kubangkangkung as a sustainable tourism destination, and finding the development strategy of Waduk Kubangkangkung to attract tourists . While the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method and SWOT analysis. The results of this study are the need for collaboration between managers and other stakeholders towards Waduk Kubangkangkung, improve promotion and also facilities that needed by tourists. Resolving issues of tourism development needed to be supporting and resolved with the help of local government. Currently, the problem of regional tourism development did not base on the development of environment and ecosystem. National economic development is neither regional nor local. Nevertheless, the role of community involvement in tourism activities is necessary. In addition, it needed to develop of transportation infrastructure related to regional activities. Coastal ecotourism has proven to be the largest foreign exchange contributor to a region or country. For that reason, applying this concept, it could improve coastal tourism performance. In the long term, this tourism sector can defeat the mining, oil and gas sectors. Furthermore, the Ministry of Tourism states that Indonesia's tourism potential is prospective. This one-year quantitative and qualitative study conducted on the coast of Ora, Maluku, Indonesia. Randomly data obtained and distributed over questionnaires among stakeholders. The data has tabulated by using content analysis. The results of this study indicate that three of the six sub-concept’s attributes are the main priorities. The rest of the attributes show that there are some culinary, fishery, cultural and marine ism potentials. They can contribute economically to local communities and local governments.


To properly plan for tourism development of great significance is existence of cultural, historical and natural heritage potentials in a certain area. That potential can be evaluated from several aspects. One of the aspects is the topic of this work: a tourist-geographical evaluation of the cultural - historical and natural heritage. This paper is therefore to analyze the potential of Bugojno for tourism development. A total of 30 cultural and natural potential attractions are analyzed. The aim of this paper is to point out the resources of Bugojno, applying the method of tourist valorization of natural and cultural resources by model Hilary du Cross. This method will identify the values of market attractiveness indicators, factors of importance when designing tourism products, cultural/natural importance and robustness of the site for tourism development. In terms of tourist valorization of a geographic area or destination, it is necessary to determine the elements of the natural, historical and cultural heritage. It is necessary to isolate the historical events and personalities associated with certain periods as well as properly review and know the current situation, with all the negatives, strengths and opportunities that this area offers. The results indicate that, in the long term, tourism can be an important economic sector in the region.

This study aims to analyze the tourism potential of Santolo Beach and formulate a development strategy for Santolo Beach so that it can be developed as a marine tourism area to increase tourist visits. The research was conducted at Santolo Beach in January - March 2021. This study used a case study method using primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained from questionnaires and interviews as many as 60 respondents consisting of tourists and Santolo Beach managers using purposive sampling method as the research sample.Secondary data were obtained from related agencies. The analysis used is a SWOT analysis to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Santolo Beach which will produce a development strategy for Santolo Beach. The results of the study are based on calculations carried out through SWOT analysis, the final value of the strengths is 1.64, the weaknesses are 1.44, the opportunities are 1.78 and the threats are 1.41. It can be seen from the results of these calculations that the Marine Tourism of Santolo Beach, Garut Regency has dominant strengths compared to weaknesses and greater opportunities than threats. If these values ​​are included in the SWOT Quadrant Diagram, it can be seen that the position of marine tourism development to increase tourist visits in Santolo Beach, Garut Regency is in the position of the Growth Strategy / SO Strategy, which is to make optimal use of the strengths and opportunities it has.
