<p>This research is done at SMK Negeri 1 Aramo. The subject of this research is the tenth grade which consists of 16 students, 8 girls and 8 boys. While the objects of this research are the implementation of Debate Technique, and the students’ ability in speaking. It is conducted by using Classroom Action Research (<em>CAR</em>) that consists of four stages in each cycle. They are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data will be analyzed in qualitative data and quantitative data.</p><p>The result of the data analysis in the first cycle is not satisfied. That’s why, the researcher continues to the second cycle. In the second cycle, the students get improvement in speaking. One student (6%) in the less level, 4 students (25%) in adequate level, 11 students (69%) in good level. The average of the students’ score is 65. Then, the result of field notes in the first meeting, the percentage of the students who are active is 75%, creative is 69%, and cooperative is 63%. While, in the second meeting, the percentage of the students who are active is 94%, creative is 94%, and cooperative is 100%. The average of the students’ score in the second cycle gets improvement and reaches the Minimum Competence Criterion (<em>MCC</em>) target fixed at the tenth grade of SMK Negeri 1 Aramo. Then, the researcher does not continue the research to the next cycle.</p>From the result of this research, the researcher concludes that Debate Technique is an active and creative learning process in teaching speaking, working in a group and also sharing knowledge and ideas to others.

This thesis discusses about the improving students’ vocabulary mastery by using pictures media to the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 21 Medan. This study applies pictures, one of media which can be used by the teacher to build students’ mastery of vocabularies. To master the language, vocabulary is important element in learning process. This statement is supported by Thornbury. He said that without vocabulary nothing can be conveyed. This study is a field study in two cycles; each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. In collecting data, I used qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data are observation sheet, and questionaire and field notes. The qualitative data were collected through observing the teaching learning process, holding the discussion with the teacher, and taking photographs of the teaching learning process. The quantitative data are pre-test and post-test to measure the students’ vocabulary mastery by using pictures media. The instruments for collecting data were observations checklist, field notes, and photographs. This study concludes that the students’ vocabulary mastery is improved by using pictures media. It can be seen from the means score of pre test is 65, and post test is 78. In additional, the implementation pictures media are successful to help the students memorize and understand new words easily.

This study concerns on improving students’ achievement in writing procedure texts through word webbing technique. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The population was the 2012-2013 nine grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Batang Kuis. The number of students was 36, consisting of 21 females and 15 males. The procedure of the research was administrated into two cycles where each cycle consisted of three meetings. Each meeting included four steps namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. There were two kinds of data collected during the study, qualitative and quantitative data. The instrument for collecting the quantitative data was the writing of procedure texts test while the qualitative data were gathered by using interview, diary notes and observation sheet. Based on the data analysis, the mean of students’ score in Test I was 53,47, for the Test II was 63,05, and for the Test III was 75 The qualitative data showed that the students were interested in the applying of Word webbing Technique. The conclusion is that Word Webbing Technique in writing Procedure Texts improves the students’ achievement in writing procedure texts. Penelitian tindakan ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan proses dan hasil dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan TK PAUD Anak Bangsa Kota Palembang Provinsi Sumatera Selatan melalui penerapan media bulletin board. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan dengan model Kemmis dan Taggart, yang meliputi perencanaan, tindakan dan observasi, refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah TK PAUD Anak Bangsa yang berjumlah 16 orang anak. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari delapan pertemuan pada setiap siklus. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif dan analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan anak mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkan media bulletin board. Skor kemampuan membaca permulaan anak pada pra siklus sebesar 44, siklus I sebesar 62, dan siklus II sebesar 65,125. Hasil tersebut memberikan implisasi bahwa kemampuan membaca permulaan dapat ditingkatkan melalui penerapan media bulletin board.Research action aims to describe the process and results in improving the ability to read the beginning of TK PAUD Anak Bangsa of Palembang City South Sumatera Province through the application of Media bulletin board. The research methods used are research actions with the Kemmis and Taggart models, which include planning, action and observation, reflection. The subject of this research is TK PAUD Anak Bangsa, a total of 16 children. Research is conducted in two cycles consisting of eight meetings on each cycle. Data collection techniques are conducted through observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this study are qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. The results showed that the ability to read children's beginnings improved after the media bulletin board was applied. Scores of children's start reading on the pre-cycle of 44, cycle I by 62, and cycle II by 65.125. The results gave implisation that the ability to read the start can be increased through the application of Media bulletin board.

The aim of this research is to find out the improvement of students learning output use cooperative learning teaching type think pair share (TPS). The form of research is the classroom action research consisting of two cycles with the steps of planning, action, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is students grade 8 of SMPN 1 Kalis. Quantitative data is taken from the pretest and postest, then is defined the average scores.  The result of this research shows that there is an improvement of average of learning output is 33,75 in the first cycles and then the second cycles is 41,25. The increase of completion of the learning output is the first cycles is 90,63 %, while the second is 93,75 %. The observation result of the learning prosess showed that the students learning activities improved and it affected the students learning output. The learning process use cooperative learning model with think pair share type is expected to be used by physics teachers to teach. This study was conducted to discover students’ achievement in narrative text through snowball throwing model. The design of this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of this study was the students of Grade VIII, 2013/2014 school year of SMP Swasta Taman Harapan Medan. The number of students was 39 students. The research was conducted in to two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meeting which consisted of four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. To collect the data the instruments that used were qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were collected by using diary notes, observation sheet, and questionnaire sheet. The quantitative data were collected by giving speaking test. Based on the data, the students’ score in speaking test got improvement in every cycle. In Test I, the mean of the students’ score was 64.44 while in Test II, the mean of the students’ score was 68.92 and in Test III, the mean of students’ score was 74.15. Based on the result of quantitative data, it was found that there was improvement on students’ speaking achievement in narrative text. This paper describes how allo-repetition strategy improves students’ participation in conversation class. Students’ low participation in conversation class is presumably caused by their having no strategy in speaking. This research is aimed at examining whether allo-repetition strategy can better improve students’ participation in English conversation. The kind of research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles at grade X2 which consisted of 31 students. The data were collected by using observation sheets, field notes, and tape recordings. The qualitative data were analyzed by using the technique suggested by Hopkins (1993: 159-162), and the quantitative data were analyzed by using percentage. The result of data analysis from observation sheets and field-notes show the improvement of students’ involvement in learning process. The data from students’ recorded conversation show the improvements in terms of numbers of exchanges the students could produce in a conversation, students’ turn-taking, and students’ back-channeling. The result of this research indicates that allo-repetition strategy better improves students’ participation in conversation class. Abstract This study is revealed based on  the observation on the tenth grade of X HT 1 Sangkuriang 2 Vocational High School.  The subjects of this study were consisted of 31 students. This study was aimed to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery using Cooperative Script Method. The research design was Classroom Action Research (CAR) which following from Kemmis and Taggart model. It is used to obtain the results of quantitative and qualitative data using 2 cycles described through planning, action, observation, and reflection on each cycle. The result of the study showed that there was a development on the student’s vocabulary mastery. It could be seen from the result of the test. The Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM) of English lesson was 70.  The students mean score in the pre test was 50,  in the first post test the mean score was 65, and in the second post test the mean score was 85. In addition there were 2 students (6,4%) who passed KKM on pre test. In the first pretest there were 9 students (29,03%) who passed KKM. In the second pretest there were 29 students (93,55%) who passed KKM. Then, from the result of field notes and interview it showed the positive responses from the students. The students can be more active and improve their ideas. The researcher conclude that Cooperative Script method could improve student’s vocabulary mastery. Keywords:  Vocabulary, Cooperative Script, Descriptive Text, CAR

The objective of this research is to explain how the Master and Mastery cards game improves students’ vocabulary acquisition and participation learning process of applying Master and Mastery cards game in teaching vocabulary for tenth-grade students of a vocational school. This research was carried out with a classroom action research design. Field notes were the instruments to collect the qualitative data. While the vocabulary test and gained the quantitative data that strengthen the quantitative data. The increasing of the test 1 and test 2 was 22.83 point. Responding to that result the teacher-researcher decided to stop the cycle at cycle two. According to the researcher and co-observer’s observation students participated actively while playing Master and Mastery vocabulary cards game. This research significantly increased students’ vocabulary acquisition as well as participation.Keywords: Master and Mastery Cards Game, Vocabulary Acquisition, Participation

This study deals with the improvement of students’ motivation in learning English through cooperative learning strategy assisted by attractive media. This study was conducted at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Medan, which located on Jl. Mustafa. No.1, Glugur Darat I, Medan Timur. The subject of the study is the grade six of 2019/2020 academic year. Classroom action research is applied in this study consist of two cycles, in which each cycle consists of four stages; planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data are obtained from both of observation and test. The qualitative data is analyzed through Miles and Huberman approach, while quantitative data is figured out through the formula . The result denotes that there are only 21 out of 43 students achieve 75 and over in cycle 1, whereas in cycle 2 there is significantly increasing number of students passing 75 and over with 43 students or 100%. In addition, learning activities become more active and creative. It is inferred that there was significant improvement on students’ motivation in learning English through cooperative learning strategy.

This research was conducted by analyzing and explaining the implementation of the application of the storytelling method in improving the moral behavior of group B children. The subjects in this study were children of group B PAUD Mawar Jingga. The method used in this study was action research developed by Kemmis and Taggart . The action in this study was carried out in 2 cycles consisting of 20 meetings. In each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted at Mawar Jingga PAUD on Jalan Yudistira Blok C No. 9B Court Plot, RT 03 RW 011 Duren Sawit (East Jakarta). This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2013/2014 academic year. The data analysis used in this study was carried out in two ways, namely quantitative and qualitative approaches. Quantitative analysis showed an increase in children's moral behavior from pre-research to cycle II. Qualitative data analysis is based on the analytical model of Miles and Huberman which consists of: (1) data reduction; (2) presentation/display of data; (3) drawing conclusions. Qualitative data analysis is based on the results of field notes and documentation notes during the learning process. The results showed that the application of the storytelling method was proven to improve the moral behavior of group B children.
