In this COVID-19 situation, it is a challenge for teachers to still be able to create fun, interesting and active learning. Although learning is carried out remotely or online, teachers must be able to increase student activity. Although learning is carried out remotely or online, teachers must be able to increase student activity. Student activity can be created through the application of interesting learning media. One of the interesting learning media in online learning is using the Quizizz educational game. This quizizz educational game usually uses a laptop or smartphone and can be carried out anywhere. The Quizizz educational learning is used for learning Procedure Text in class XI SMK Nusantara 02 Kesehatan. Through the descriptive method, this learning is supported by material observation, evaluation and interviews. The results obtained are that students enjoy this educational game and understand the material available in the Quiziz application faster.

The aim of this study was to see the effectiveness of Task-Based Language Teaching in Teaching Writing. Writing is very important for students because they can express themselves in writing form and being brave to state their own opinions. Many English teacher got some problem in teaching writing, the teacher must choose a strategy which is suitable on the students conditions. Not only speaking ability that must be taught and applied in the class but also writing ability. The data of this research was students scores in writing procedure text. The population of this study were the first grade and the sample was 31 students of smp berea tondano in academic year 2017/2018. The research used one group pre-test and post-test experiment. The result showed that there was an increase between the pre-test (62,40) and tghe post-test (67,60). In this research, the research used quantitative experimental research as design of this research. Then, the research identified and analyzed based on statistic calculation for getting good result accuratelty, completely and systematically. A teacher should be creative to use various strategy in english teaching moreover teaching writing. In choosing the strategy, the teacher should pay attention to the material will be given.

Abstract This classroom action research was conducted in Class IX A SMP Negeri 5 Kubu with a total of 22 students. The objectives to be achieved in this study are to improve students' ability to compile procedural texts, develop effective, efficient and fun learning strategies and learning models, students can actively involve themselves in communication activities by expressing their ideas, opinions and feelings simply both verbally. or written. The technique used in this research is to make observations / observations and give student performance tests in the form of written tests. Then the next goal of Classroom Action Research is to find out to what extent learning through the Chain writing learning model can improve student learning outcomes in writing procedural texts in class IX A at SMP Negeri 5 Kubu. Classroom action research (CAR) was conducted in 2 cycles, from the results of the actions taken were proven to improve student learning outcomes in English lessons by reaching the KKM standard, namely 70. From 64.31% in cycle I, it could increase to 78.63%. in cycle 2. The results of this action research indicate that the chain writing learning model is effective in improving students' skills in writing procedural texts. The purposes of the study were to (1) find out the level of students reading comprehension of different genres and (2) to describe students reading comprehension of different genres of text. The subject of   the research was the eight grade students in SMP Negeri 2 Pacurbatu. The research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data were collected by using reading comprehension test and interview. Then The data were analyzed by identifying the result of test first, describing the result and the last was explaining the result. Based on the result of the data analysis, it was found that the students were good at both literal and inferrential. Literal comprehension was 75.95% better than inferrential  comprehension 72,68 %. Furthermore, students reading comprehension of narrative texts was the dominant genre with 75.00% which belonged to good category and followed by recount text with 72.98%, procedure text with 73.79% and the last was descriptive text with 69.75% which the only genre belonged to fair category

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada materi teks Prosedur kelas IX di MTs Negeri 3 Kayong Utara setelah menerapkan metode pembelajaran  Eksperimen  sains sederhana yang merupakan pengembangan dari  model pembelajaran Demonstrasi pada pembelajaran bahasa Inggris. Metode Eksperimen sains sederhana ini diterapkan selain untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa juga dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan mengintegrasikan antara pembelajaran bahasa Inggris dengan sains. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar berbentuk : (1) Tes, (2) Observasi, (3) angket. Untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dilihat dari perbandingan hasil tes antar siklus. Penerapan metode Eksperimen sains sederhana dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi Procedure text atau teks Prosedur. Hasil pelaksanaan siklus I dengan menerapkan metode ceramah diperoleh tingkat ketuntasan 44,5% sedangkan pelaksanaan siklus II dengan menerapkan metode Eksperimen sains sederhana diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal 88,9%. Aktifitas pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode Eksperimen sains sederhana berhasil dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi teks Prosedur. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Kuantitatif.

<p>This research is a kind of survey and aims to determine the effects of simple present verb and vocabulary mastery on students' writing skills in procedure text. This research has three variables which are divided into two independent variables and one dependent variable. Test scores do the collection of the data for independent and dependent variables. The gained data were then analyzed by using the multiple regressions method. The results of this research are: 1) There are significant effects of simple present verb and vocabulary mastery towards students' writing skills in procedure text. It is proved by Sig.= 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and Fobserved = 12.541; 2) There is a significant effect of simple present verb towards students' writing skill in procedure text. It is proved by Sig.= 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and tobserved = 2.041; 3) There is a significant effect of vocabulary mastery towards students' writing skills in procedure text. It is proved by Sig.= 0.000 &lt; 0.05 and tobserved = 2.201.<br />Keywords: simple present verb, vocabulary mastery, procedure English text</p>

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyusunan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) daring teks prosedur oleh guru kelas VII SMP se-Kota Mataram selama pandemi covid-19. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskripftif. Data-data yang diperoleh berupa implementasi tujuan, langkah-langkah bagian kegiatan inti, dan penilaian RPP daring teks prosedur di enam sekolah. Dalam penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa RPP daring teks prosedur SMP Negeri 3 Mataram, SMP Negeri 4 Mataram, SMP Negeri 5 Mataram, SMP Negeri 9 Mataram, SMP Negeri 15 Mataram, dan SMP Negeri 21 Mataram telah disusun dan digunakan oleh guru kelas VII masing-masing sekolah dengan penerapan dua model RPP daring teks prosedur, yakni (1) model pembelajaran berbasis teks yang terintegrasi dengan keterampilan 4C dan literasi serta (2) model pembelajaran berbasis teks yang terintegrasi dengan pendekatan saintifik yang disusun dengan teori yang berlaku dan dengan format yang berbeda-beda (berdasarkan MGMP Kota Mataram, MGMP guru mata pelajaran di sekolah tersebut, dan kelompok guru CPNS mata pelajaran se-Kota Mataram). Abstract: The research aims to know the drafting of the Planned Implementation of Learning (RPP) online text procedure by class teacher VII SMP of Mataram during the covid-19 pandemic. With the type of qualitative research, descriptive qualitative methods, data obtained from objective implementation forms, core activity measures, and RPP assessment of the online text procedure in six schools. Based on the results of research and discussion to answer how the preparation of the online Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) for procedure text by junior high school teachers throughout the city of Mataram during the covid-19 pandemic? Thus, it was found that the online lesson plans for the procedural texts of SMP Negeri 3 Mataram, SMP Negeri 4 Mataram, SMP Negeri 5 Mataram, SMP Negeri 9 Mataram, SMP Negeri 15 Mataram, and SMP Negeri 21 Mataram had been prepared and used by grade VII teachers of each school. with the application of two online lesson plans for procedural texts, namely (1) a text-based learning model that is integrated with 4C and literacy skills and (2) a text-based learning model that is integrated with a scientific approach, which is compiled with applicable theories, and in a different format (based on the MGMP of Mataram City, the MGMP of subject teachers at the school, and the group of CPNS teachers of subjects throughout the city of Mataram).

This research is conducted based on the preliminary research that are many students difficult in writing procedure text. The students are still confused about how to start writing and applying grammar in writing. The objective of the research was to know whether there was a correlation between students’ imperative sentence mastery and their ability in writing procedure text at MTs Sriwijaya East Lampung. This was correlation research. It was used to know the correlation between students’ imperative sentence mastery and their ability in writing procedure text. The population of this research was the students at the MTs Sriwijaya east Lampung of the ninth grade of the first semester. The total sample in this research was 28 students. In collecting data, using 20 multiple choices for imperative sentence test and writing a paragraph for procedure text test. After giving the test, the writer analyzed the data by using SPSS Statistic 17.0  After doing the hypothetical testing, the result demonstrated that there was a positive correlation between students’ imperative sentence mastery and their ability in writing procedure text. Based on the data analysis computed by using SPSS, it was obtained that Sig = 0.004 and α = 0.05. It means that Ha is accepted because Sig ˂ α = 0.05. Based on this research, it was suggested that to have a good writing procedure text, students should have a good mastery of imperative sentences.

The language of law is complex and needs to be investigated to facilitate its easy understanding. The present study addresses this need by analyzing a mini-corpus comprising two short texts taken from Pakistan's Code of Civil Procedure 1908 and the U.K.'s Civil Procedure Rules 1998 with Halliday's ideational metafunction, which is suited for analyzing procedural texts (Halliday & Matthiessen, 2004). The study identified the transitivity patterns in the mini corpus. The findings showed simpler construction of processes in the U.K. civil procedure text sample as compared to Pakistan's Civil Procedure text sample, whereas the analysis showed a similar complex construction of nominal phrases in both texts. The study is expected to contribute toward an easy understanding of legal language. It is also hoped that this study will promote further research in this important area with pedagogical implications.
