Performance measurement in manufacturing industry is usually measured with the approach of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). In the mining industry, backhoe excavator performance can also be measured by OEE value approach. OEE value measurement performed on the excavator in coal mine Embalut Kaltim. In the case study on the company, the performance analysis also compared with the backhoe excavator defined performance targets of the company. OEE Value mine done OEE parameter modification into 3 dimensions: availability, utilization and productivity index. OEE measurement mine OB Removal devoted to the activity, as this activity has a value greater than most activity cost Getting Coal. The measurement results OEE values for the existing conditions is very low. Two of six units which have a low OEE value. The low value of OEE most influential is the utilization value. If compared with OEE value targets, there are five units of backhoe has a value below the target. Efforts are being made to improve OEE values is by the application of TPM: implementing autonomous maintenance, implementation of SMED: change the internal activity into external and doing jobs that could be eliminated or Parallelize and application 5W1H: make your creative ideas by way of brainstorming or explore the idea of problem solving, After implementation of the improvement idea, the value of simulation obtained quite good, an increase compared with OEE value before improvement. Keyword : Availability, Utilization, Productivity Index, TPM, SMED, 5W1H.

Bapak Bakery is one of the bread companies in Bali. This company has never taken productivity measurements. The company only uses the profits of sale production as a benchmark of its success achievement. PT. Bapak Bakery has problem in the field of production, namely lack of availability of raw materials which resulted in hampered production process so that consumer demand could not be fulfilled. The purpose of this study is to measure the level of production productivity, analyze the contribution of productivity ratio component and recommendation for PT. Bapak Bakery productivity improvement. The study uses the Objective Matrix (OMAX) method. In this study there are 5 ratios that are used as criteria in measuring productivity. The ratio is included in the criteria of efficiency, effectiveness and inferentiality. The productivity measurement results show that the lowest productivity index value is in March 2018 which was 175.3 and the highest value obtained was in July which was 501.6. Contribution analysis of productivity ratio component PT. Bapak Bakery who obtained the highest productivity value, namely ratio 1 with value of 830.7 and the lowest productivity value is ratio 3 and 4 with a value of 738. Recommendation of productivity improvement obtained ratio 1 in the amount of Rp. 131.724.436, ratio 2 is Rp 1.830.959 , ratio 3 is 6.471 hours, ratio 4 is Rp 600.064.834 and ratio 5 is 504 hours. Keywords: Bread production, productivity measurement, Objective Matrix (OMAX)

The island marble butterfly (Euchloe ausonides insulanus), thought to be extinct throughout the 20th century until re-discovered on a single remote island in Puget Sound in 1998, has become the focus of a concerted protection effort to prevent its extinction. However, efforts to “restore” island marble habitat conflict with efforts to “restore” the prairie ecosystem where it lives, because of the butterfly’s use of a non-native “weedy” host plant. Through a case study of the island marble project, we examine the practice of ecological restoration as the enactment of particular norms that define which species are understood to belong in the place being restored. We contextualize this case study within ongoing debates over the value of “native” species, indicative of deep-seated uncertainties and anxieties about the role of human intervention to alter or manage landscapes and ecosystems, in the time commonly described as the “Anthropocene.” We interpret the question of “what plants and animals belong in a particular place?” as not a question of scientific truth, but a value-laden construct of environmental management in practice, and we argue for deeper reflexivity on the part of environmental scientists and managers about the social values that inform ecological restoration.

This study investigated how young teenagers, as members of a strong religious organization, dealt with the school situation and the encounter with mainstream culture taking place at school during the final years in Swedish primary school (age 13–15 years). The purpose was to explore possible strategies that members of a minority group, in this case the Jehovah’s Witnesses, developed in order to deal with a value system differing from that of the group. We interviewed eleven former members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses about their final years in compulsory Swedish communal school. The ages of the interviewees ranged between 24 and 46 years, and the interviewed group comprised six men and five women. Nine of the eleven interviewees had grown up in the countryside or in villages. All but two were ethnic Swedes. The time that had passed since leaving the movement ranged from quite recently to 20 years ago. The results revealed three strategies; Standing up for Your Beliefs, Escaping, and Living in Two Worlds. The first two strategies are based on a One-World View, and the third strategy, Living in Two Worlds, implies a Two-World View, accepting to a certain extent both the Jehovah’s Witnesses outlook as well as that of ordinary society. The strategy Standing up for Your Beliefs can be described as straightforward, outspoken, and bold; the youngsters did not show any doubts about their belief. The second subgroup showed an unshakeable faith, but suffered psychological stress since their intentions to live according to their belief led to insecurity in terms of how to behave, and also left them quite isolated. These people reported more absence from school. The youngsters using the strategy Living in Two Worlds appeared to possess the ability to sympathize with both world views, and were more adaptable in different situations.

The Financial Master Plan (2001- 2010) aims to enhance the capacity of banking industry so that higher effic iency and productivity can be reaped in the future. This study seeks to determine the impact of merger on the efficiency and productivity ofcommercial banks in Malaysia for the period 1995 until 2005. The study uses a non-parametric approach, nam ely DEA (data envelopment analysis?) to estimate the efficiency scores and to construct the Malmquist productivity index. To enable this estimation, three bank inputs and outputs are used. Amongst the findings are those banks exhibit higher efficiency score after the merger and thefo reign banks are more efficient than the local banks. Productivity of the banks is calculated in both periods, before and after the merger: The results show that, it is the local banks that have improved the most after the merger. The main source of productivity is technical change or innovation. The findings support the existing policy of having larger domestic banks in term of size.

The purpose of this study was to decide the elements of performance at PT. General Takaful Insurance, to find out how to measure performance using the scorecard approach that is by measuring process performance and results performance, and interpreting in the form of conclusions. In this study, researchers tested apply maslahah at PT. General Takaful Insurance with a case study design. This research is a type of quantitative and qualitative research because it uses measurement data through formulas and if interpretative qualitative, and the data used are primary and secondary data. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that PT. General Takaful Insurance received a value of the performance benefit process of 0.7 which indicates that the company simply applied benefits in terms of process performance. And behave the benefit of PT. General Takaful Insurance got a value of 0.89 which shows that the company is quite good in providing benefits to stakeholders and shareholders.
