The concept of gated community housing is a feature of contemporary housing development. Housing developers promote this concept through an emphasis on security in gated housing. House owners today favour fenced-in residences, not only for their homes, but also for the entire housing development, including recreational areas and other facilities. The aim of this study is to prioritize the elements of physical security in a gated community housing development. The methodology employed a quantitative approach using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in ascertaining the weightage for each element deemed important in the planning of secure gated community housing, with focus on the elements of access, fencing, CCTV installation, lighting, guardhouse and landscape, which are the principal elements that serve to enforce security in the protected community. The results of this study showed that two principal elements, namely access to the property (entry/exit points) and protective fencing, were deemed the most important in providing security in gated community housing. Accordingly, these aspects should be accorded particular attention in the planning of gated communities in the future and be factored into the strategy to enhance security.Gated community housing and guarded neighbourhoods employing such a strategy would be quite effective in providing security to residents.

AbstractGiven the increasing importance of electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) in the global tourism market, the purpose of the study was to estimate weights customers assign to main attributes of tourist accommodations embodied in easily observed eWOM numerical ratings and subsequently to determine segments of customers with homogenous preferences. To this goal, the preferences tourists attach to price and seven other accommodation attributes rated by Internet users on Booking.com were revealed with the analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Next, a two-stage clustering procedure based on these preferences was undertaken followed by profiling of the clusters in terms of their socio-demographics and travel characteristics. The results show that even if the ranking of the attributes is roughly the same for all the segments (with cleanliness, value for money, and location always in top four), all eight attributes effectively segment tourists into three clusters: “quality-seekers” (45% of the market), “bargain-seekers” (35%), and “cleanliness-seekers” (20%). The segments differ in terms of tourists’ income and expenditures, type of accommodation, actual payer for accommodation, and trip purpose. In contrast, socio-demographics, and most tourists stay variables are alike across the segments. The proposed method of benefit segmentation provides a new perspective for an exploitation of eWOM data by accommodation providers in their marketing strategy.

<p>Business incubation is one of entrepreneurship development methods believed to have advantages compared with other SME development patterns. The model used in managing the business incubators is influenced by the business focus of the participants/tenants. In managing the ICT business incubators, there are some key factors slightly different from the management of others. However, the legal rules and standards for organizing various types of incubators are still equated. It is concerned that there will be some misunderstandings/misleading from the administrators or managers in providing their services, so that the process fails to reach its main objectives. This study has surveyed some managers of ICT incubators to get their perspectives about the dominant aspects among 8-S mandatory services by using Analytical Hierarchy Process, and also some tenants about their satisfaction to incubators services. The result is then reviewed based on ICT product and business characteristics.</p><p> </p>Keywords: ICT Business Incubators, Management, Analytical Hierarchy Process, Customer Development Model.

Human resources within a company's organization are significant to support the progress and quality of the company in achieving the goal. However, to achieve it all of these employees must have other supporting factors such as endurance, diligence, and accuracy or other skills. These factors can manage a system that can help to make decisions. One of the methods that can be used for decision support system is by using AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method, this method is chosen because it can select the best alternative from a number of alternatives that is entitled to get the promotion and value of employee performance expected by company based on criteria which are determined. The result of the implementation process can sort the alternatives from the most considerable value to the smallest value.
