FACILITATING SKILLS OF GRADE SCHOOL TEACHERS IN INCREASING LEARNING RETENTION AMONG GRADE SCHOOL PUPILS

<p>Teachers are a facilitator of the learning process. Teachers give pupils an ample time to discover new things on their own. Many challenges faced by the teachers in facilitating the activity of learners such as planning, creating, preparing, and selecting the materials used in the activity. Because of this, the task of the teachers is multi-faceted. Many things to be considered in making learning activities, must suit the capability of the learners, this activity can be adapted to different learning styles, and the activity must stimulate the interest of the learners. But not all activities are fitted for all learners because learners are diverse and unique in nature. The needs of pupils are the major concern of the teachers, to retain the learning of the pupils and especially the learning could apply in their daily lives for meaningful learning. The research dealt with the challenges of the teachers in increasing the learning retention among pupils and possible activities that stimulate the interest of the learners. This research measure the responses measured in getting the frequency, percentage, and weighted mean using formulas to analyze the data gathered. Utilize descriptive design with a survey questionnaire as the research instrument. This research has two sets of respondents the grade school teachers and pupils. <br></p>

The integration of modern technologies in the learning process is a key component of the strategies of educational institutions for effective education. Through them the educational content and learning activities are enriched and realized quickly and easily with the active participation of the students. At the same time, technologies are a prerequisite for the realization of new forms of education, adequate to the learners’ needs and expectations. For teachers, the benefits of applying digital technologies in the learning process and their contribution to improving the quality of education are undeniable. For the current generation of learners, technologies are an essential part of their daily lives. But the readiness of digital learners to accept and participate in new forms of learning based on technological innovations is a matter of crucial importance. The aim of the current paper is to present an analysis of the results of a study about the students’ attitude to the implementation of various innovative forms of learning.

The purpose of this study is to find out the meaning of learrning, this study uses a qualitative approach, tjhen the instruments used are observation and documention of learning activities in class.the results of the analysis of student learning are obtained i the cognitive shutter which is the value of student evaluations when working on evaluation questions given by the teacher when the learning process takes place. The results of this study can be used SDIT CENDIKIA to find out learning styles of student learning outcomes and can be used for consideration of schools and parents of students, especially those in grades V and VI.

The purpose of this research is to explain Teacher's Efforts to instill the Value of Discipline and Student Learning Activities in C9 Pekanbaru School. The method used is qualitative, the subjects studied were teachers in C9 Pekanbaru School, amounting to 1 person. The results of the study are based on the results of data analysis obtained after conducting research using observation techniques, interviews and documentation, then there is a relationship of understanding about the efforts of teachers in instilling the value of discipline and student learning activities in Pekanbaru C9 School. Teachers who are in School C9 are expected to continue to accompany students in each learning process and outside the learning process. So that learning objectives can be achieved properly.

Student learning styles can be interpreted as the preferred way for students to carry out activities of thinking, processing and understanding information and knowledge in learning. In the process of learning activities, each student has a method or style of learning that is different so that the learning outcomes obtained is varies. In general, the learning styles commonly used by students in the learning process are a combination of visual learning styles (sense of sight), auditive (sense of hearing) and kinesthetic (sense of touch). The introduction of the characteristics of learning styles so that students can know and understand the characteristics of their learning styles, make adjustments to learning methods that are suitable for absorbing science and technology in the learning process in the classroom as well as independent learning outside and at home. Parents of students also need to be given an understanding of the characteristics of their child’s learning styles so they don't make mistakes in disciplining children in learning and better understanding of their children's potential. For example children with dominant kinesthetic learning styles usually cannot stand sitting too long to listen to the teacher's instruction so that they do other activities such as permission and disturb their friends because they can learn better when accompanied by physical activities, as well as with other learning style characters. The results of this activity are satisfying, visible students enthusiastic in identifying learning styles and understanding methods of learning that are suitable and their potential and for parents are also enthusiastic in this activity because they are given direction in understanding their child’s learning styles and potential.

Learning from Home (BDR) in network (online) and offline (offline) is indeed a challenge for teachers in its application. Inaccurate and non-varied learning methods are problems that teachers often face, especially in online learning. Teachers also have to learn to be more creative in choosing learning media so that their students don't feel bored. Online learning can run well, be effective and fun it requires motivation and also creativity in these learning activities. Creativity is important because creativity is one of the factors that influence success in learning. If teachers are motivated and creative, they will improve their pedagogic ability well to achieve learning goals. The activity, which is carried out in the form of a webinar and workshop online for elementary and middle school teachers, increases the role of teachers professionally in intellectual, pedagogical, and creativity which can help develop the learning process given. The results of this activity are increasing teachers’ pedagogic competences in the selection and use of creative, varieties, and interactive. So, applying online interactive quizzes become solutions in increasing teachers’ pedagogic competence in learning and assessment, project or performance.

The purpose of this study is mainly to describe the performance of primary school teachersin the unit of education technical implementation in Banyumanik, Semarang. This researchwas conducted in January- August 2017. The sample of this research is 162 primaryschool teachers selected by random sampling technique in order to get the same opportunityas sample. The instruments used in this study were the assessment sheets, the RatingSheet consisted of 64 items of question, and 3 indicators of Primary School TeacherPerformance. The results show that each of Implementation of lesson plans is categorizedvery well (90, 9%), the execution of the learning is 83.4%, assessment of learning is good(82.8%). The Overall performance of primary school teachers is categorized good( 85 , 7 % ). In other words, the primary school teachers of the unit of education technicalimplementation in Banyumanik Semarang can arrange the lesson plans, carry out learningand teaching process and assess the learning process in elementary school.
