A lightweight approach for flexible group management in the classroom

Surgical residents cite “increased income potential” as a motivation for pursuing fellowship training, despite little evidence supporting this perception. Thus, our goal is to quantify the financial impact of surgical fellowship training on financial career value. By using Medical Group Management Association and Association of American Medical Colleges physician income data, and accounting for resident salary, student debt, a progressive tax structure, and forgone wages associated with prolonged training, we generated a net present value (NPV) for both generalist and subspecialist surgeons. By comparing generalist and subspecialist career values, we determined that cardiovascular (ANPV = $698,931), pediatric ($430,964), thoracic ($239,189), bariatric ($166,493), vascular ($96,071), and transplant ($46,669) fellowships improve career value. Alternatively, trauma (-$11,374), colorectal (-$44,622), surgical oncology (-$203,021), and breast surgery (-$326,465) fellowships all reduce career value. In orthopedic surgery, spine ($505,198), trauma ($123,250), hip and joint ($60,372), and sport medicine ($56,167) fellowships improve career value, whereas shoulder and elbow (-$4,539), foot and ankle (-$173,766), hand (-$366,300), and pediatric (-$489,683) fellowships reduce career NPV. In obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology ($352,854), and maternal and fetal medicine ($322,511) fellowships improve career value, whereas gynecology oncology (-$28,101) and urogynecology (-$206,171) fellowships reduce career value. These data indicate that the financial return of fellowship is highly variable.

Domestic and international travel represents a regular challenge to high-performance track-and-field athletes, particularly when associated with the pressure of competition or the need to support specialized training (e.g., altitude or heat adaptation). Jet lag is a challenge for transmeridian travelers, while fatigue and alterations to gastrointestinal comfort are associated with many types of long-haul travel. Planning food and fluid intake that is appropriate to the travel itinerary may help to reduce problems. Resynchronization of the body clock is achieved principally through manipulation of zeitgebers, such as light exposure; more investigation of the effects of melatonin, caffeine, and the timing/composition of meals will allow clearer guidelines for their contribution to be prepared. At the destination, the athlete, the team management, and catering providers each play a role in achieving eating practices that support optimal performance and success in achieving the goals of the trip. Although the athlete is ultimately responsible for his or her nutrition plan, best practice by all parties will include pretrip consideration of risks around the quality, quantity, availability, and hygiene standards of the local food supply and the organization of strategies to deal with general travel nutrition challenges as well as issues that are specific to the area or the special needs of the group. Management of buffet-style eating, destination-appropriate protocols around food/water and personal hygiene, and arrangement of special food needs including access to appropriate nutritional support between the traditional “3 meals a day” schedule should be part of the checklist.

Tongkonunuk Village is one of the producers of lowe banana which is a local potential in Banggai Regency. The village is 65 km from the city of Luwuk which is the capital of Banggai Regency, is a center of lowe banana production ranging from 1.3 tons per planting season with a harvest period every 3-4 months. With its natural conditions consisting of 60% plains, 25% hills and 15% mountains which are very potential for food crop cultivation or plantation crops, for example corn, cassava, rice paddy, field rice and lowe banana commodities typical of the Banggai Regency. The objectives of this program are: (1) Availability of equipment that is needed by the community to diversify lowe products; (2) Training and practice of diversifying lowe products, (3) Producing packaging designs to attract consumers, (4) Realizing a professional organizational structure, (4) Establishing a partnership pattern with the Banggai District Cooperatives and SMEs Office, as well as healthy and empowered group management and reliable business bookkeeping.

The term "classroom management." Appears in Jossos Kounin's book, "Discipline and Group Management in Classroom." Jaasbs Kunin is an educational theoretician who focuses on the ability of the teacher to influence student behavior and instruction / management instructions. So he tries to integrate learning with classroom management. Prior to this, the US focused on the role of the teacher as a translator of knowledge and skills. Different studies have developed classroom management theories, which are based on the teacher's ability to organize and plan their activity and students, using the activity and high levels of student participation in learning. Classroom management is a collection of skills and techniques that teachers use to keep students organized, systematically methodical and tidy, focused, attentive, and academically productive during class. When classroom management strategies are implemented effectively, teachers can minimize disruptive behavior that impedes learning and other activities while increasing their effectiveness. Generally speaking, effective teachers tend to show strong skills in classroom management, while the hallmark of inexperienced or less effective teachers is the chaotic classroom.

Biosurfactants are a series of organic compounds that are composed of two parts, hydrophobic and hydrophilic, and since they have properties such as less toxicity and biodegradation, they are widely used in the food industry. Important applications include healthy products, oil recycling, and biological refining. In this research, to calculate the curves of rhamnolipid adsorption compared to Amberlite XAD-2, the least-squares vector machine algorithm has been used. Then, the obtained model is formed by 204 adsorption data points. Various graphical and statistical approaches are applied to ensure the correctness of the model output. The findings of this study are compared with studies that have used artificial neural network (ANN) and data group management method (GMDH) models. The model used in this study has a lower percentage of absolute mean deviation than ANN and GMDH models, which is estimated to be 1.71%.The least-squares support vector machine (LSSVM) is very valuable for investigating the breakthrough curve of rhamnolipid, and it can also be used to help chemists working on biosurfactants. Moreover, our graphical interface program can assist everyone to determine easily the curves of rhamnolipid adsorption on Amberlite XAD-2.

Effectively adding security measures to a multicast service is an intriguing problem, especially when the service isdeployed in a wireless setting. Next generation IEEE 802.16standard WirelessMAN networks are a perfect example of this problem, and the latest draft specification of the standard includes a secure protocol solution called Multicast and Broadcast Rekeying Algorithm (MBRA). In this paper, we expose the security problems of MBRA, including non-scalability and omission of backward and forward secrecy, and propose new approaches, ELAPSE and ELAPSE+, to address these problems. In particular, ELAPSE+ makes use of membership and mobility information gathered in the application layer to augment the adaptive group management in the MAC layer. We analyze the security property of ELAPSE and ELAPSE+, and compare their performances with MBRA by simulating group rekeying scenarios.
