YouTube adalah sebuah situs web video sharing (berbagi video) yang populer dimana para pengguna dapat memuat, menonton, dan berbagi klip video secara gratis. Saat ini Youtube menjadi situs online Video provider paling dominan di Amerika serikat, bahkan dunia, dengan menguasai 43% pasar. Adapun 5 Liga Terbaik Eropa Saat Ini yang memanfaatkan Youtube sebagai platform marketing, yaitu : Premier League, LaLiga Santander, seria A, Ligue 1, dan Bundesliga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghitung kredibilitas dari performa akun Youtube 5 Liga Terbaik Eropa Saat Ini. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini yaitu metode eksploratif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa LaLiga Santanderbaik mendapatkan peringkat pertama dan memiliki kredibilitas performa akun yang baik.

RESUMONeste trabalho é relatado o processo de elaboração e aplicação de um roteiro de atividade prática para professores do ensino médio como uma forma de estratégia didática para o ensino da teoria cinética dos gases na disciplina de química. Esta estratégia foi caracterizada por uma abordagem específica, aula expositiva do conteúdo seguida do vídeo experimental para a discussão do tópico. Optou-se por utilizar o Youtube por ser uma das plataformas mais acessadas por qualquer estudante. Escolheu-se um vídeo que continha um experimento claro e objetivo correlacionado com o conteúdo acima citado. Em seguida, elaborou-se o vídeo da aula prática que conteve com uma breve contextualização no cotidiano dos alunos, seguida do vídeo experimental do Youtube e por fim algumas perguntas discursivas. Os resultados indicam que a abordagem do vídeo experimental apresenta uma vantagem significativa sobre as aulas teóricas, reforçando a importância da utilização de práticas experimentais extras na sala.Ensino de Química. Vídeo experimental.ABSTRACTIn this work, the process of elaborating and applying a script of practical activity for high school teachers is reported as a form of didactic strategy for teaching the kinetic theory of gases in the discipline of chemistry. This strategy was characterized by a specific approach, expository class of content followed by the experimental video for the discussion of the topic. We decided to use YouTube as it is one of the most online video-sharing platform accessed by any student. A video was chosen which contained a clear and objective experiment correlated with the above-mentioned content. Then, the video of practical class was elaborated, which contained a brief contextualization in the students' daily lives, followed by experimental YouTube video and finally some discursive questions. The results indicate that the experimental video approach has significant advantage over the analytical classes, reinforcing the importance of using extra experimental practices in classroom.Chemistry teaching. Optamos por utilizar Youtube ya que es una de las plataformas más visitadas por cualquier estudiante. Questa strategia è stata caratterizzata da un approccio specifico, una classe espositiva del contenuto seguita da un video sperimentale per la discussione dell'argomento. Abbiamo scelto di utilizzare YouTube in quanto è una delle piattaforme più visitate da qualsiasi studente. È stato scelto un video che conteneva un esperimento chiaro e oggettivo correlato ai contenuti sopra menzionati. Quindi è stato prodotto il video della lezione pratica, che conteneva una breve contestualizzazione nella vita quotidiana degli studenti, seguito dal video sperimentale di YouTube e infine da alcune domande discorsive. I risultati indicano che l'approccio video sperimentale ha un vantaggio significativo rispetto alle lezioni, rafforzando l'importanza dell'utilizzo di pratiche sperimentali aggiuntive in classe.Insegnamento di chimica. <p>Home movies are now viewed in a variety of public contexts, a shift that entails a loss of their original meanings. In order to consider the impact of exhibiting these private documents, this thesis analyses the use of home movies within recycled footage productions, archival curation and online video-sharing. Investigating a variety of formal and informal screening contexts through close readings and archival research, it asks: what meanings do home movies acquire in new contexts? How might the reuse of home movies affect our understandings of their production and the past they portray? Does a perception that home movies could appear boring influence how they are framed or altered for public audiences?  Due to their form and content, home movies may seem ill-suited to public exhibition. Popular discourses about home movies during their heyday of production reveal a widespread belief that they were boring (for outsiders) to watch. While recent literature has assessed home movies more favourably, it has tended to overlook their potential to bore viewers who have no personal relationship to them. Drawing upon theories of boredom, this study argues meaningfulness is the principal factor determining whether a viewer finds a particular film interesting or boring. In their original form, home movies may appear relatively meaningless and therefore boring to public audiences. Recycled footage films re-edit images, however, to create engaging viewing experiences through narrative and affect. While more experimental productions frequently question the evidential value of home movie images, television documentaries tend to encourage audiences to perceive footage as authentic or nostalgic. Narrative and affect also feature in the exhibition strategies of moving image archives. Curated public programmes provide informative and enjoyable viewing for general audiences, but almost inevitably promote certain understandings of the past by offering specific interpretations of selected films. Moreover, the affective appeal of home movie images may outweigh other forms of meaning for viewers, particularly in community or participatory screening contexts. Online video-sharing platforms such as YouTube, which are curated by algorithms rather than human expertise, feature numerous home movies without any kind of framing or description. While this might seem profoundly boring, viewer comments suggest meaninglessness can foster imaginative and empathetic responses to home movies, often expressed as nostalgic longing. This propensity of home movie footage within different screening contexts to encourage nostalgic sentiments, or a belief that life was better in the past, has implications for collective memory and understandings of history. Moreover, the ability of at least some viewers to enjoy home movies in relatively contextless spaces suggests that in certain instances qualities associated with boredom may not be a significant impediment to meaningful experience after all.</p>

With the prevalence of online video-sharing platforms increasing in recent years, many people have started to create their own videos and upload them onto the Internet. In filmmaking, background music is also one of the major elements besides the footage. With matching background music, a video can not only convey information, but also immerse the viewers in the setting of a story. There is often not only one piece of background music, but several, which is why audio editing and music production software are required. However, music editing is a professional expertise, and it can be hard for amateur creators to compose ideal pieces for the video. At the same time, there are some online audio libraries and music archives for sharing audio/music samples. For beginners, one possible way to compose background music for a video is “arranging and integrating samples”, rather than making music from scratch. As a result, this leads to a problem. There might be some gaps between samples, in which we have to generate transitions to fill the gaps. In our research, we build a transformer-based model for generating a music transition to bridge two prepared music clips. We design and perform experiments to demonstrate that our results are promising. The results are also analysed by using a questionnaire to reveal a positive response from listeners, supporting that our generated transitions conform to background music.

Today, with increased internet access, users are often interested in new content-based multimedia applications of high added value such as interactive TV, video on demand (VoD), and catch-up TV services such as YouTube or Dailymotion frameworks. Despite the easy and rapid access to media information of these services, they present the risk of the wide propagation of fake news. As a solution, the authors propose that the input for these services must be from a trustworthy traditional media, precisely TV program content. So, the automatic process of TV program identification and their internal segmentation facilitate the availability of these programs. In this chapter, the major originality of the authors' approach is the use of contextual and operational characteristics of TV production rules as prior knowledge that captures the structure for recurrent TV news program content. The authors validate their approach by experiments conducted using the TRECVID dataset that demonstrate its robustness.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the benefits of Ad-Video and Product-Video congruity for embedded online video advertising. A conceptual model is constructed to test how congruity between online advertisements, advertised products and online videos impact consumer post-viewing attitudes via processing fluency. Design/methodology/approach An online experiment with eight versions of mock video sections (with embedded online video advertisements) was conducted. The study is a 2 (type of appeal: informational vs emotional) × 2 (Ad-Video congruity: congruent vs incongruent) × 2 (Product-Video congruity: congruent vs incongruent) full-factorial between-subject design. A total of 252 valid responses were collected for data analysis. Findings Results show that congruity is related to the improvement of processing fluency only for informational ads/videos. The positive effect of Ad-Video congruity on processing fluency is only significant for informational appeals but not emotional appeal. Similarly, the positive effects of Product-Video congruity on processing fluency are only significant for informational appeals but not emotional appeal. Involvement has been found to be positively related to processing fluency too. Processing fluency has a positive impact on the attitudes toward the ads, advertised products and videos. Research limitations/implications The finding that congruity is related to the improvement of processing fluency only for informational ads/videos extends the existing literature by identifying the type of appeal as a boundary condition. Practical implications Both brand managers and online video platform owners should monitor and operationalize the content and appeal congruity, especially for informational ads on a large scale to improve consumers’ responses. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first paper to examine the effects of Ad-Video and Product-Video congruity of embedded advertisements on video sharing platforms. The findings of this study add to the literature on congruity and processing fluency.
