This article explores the reasons behind the success of user-generated content (UGC) advertisements on Bilibili, which is one of China’s most significant video-sharing social media sites, with a core focus on East Asian pop culture. Additionally, Madoka Magica is a well-known Japanese animation about magical girls. There are two derivative games based on it. By using diffusion of innovation theory and content analysis method, this article takes UGC advertisements of Madoka Magica’s mobile games as windows to investigate how early adopters (influencers) motivate early majority adopters (their followers) to play the game. Moreover, this paper also addresses three types of bullet chats in this kind of video to further explore followers’ interaction with the influencers and reasons for the success of its marketing method. Bullet chats are a unique way to observe target consumers’ reaction to the advertisements. The author found that word-of-mouth marketing, the right audience and influential people are important factors for the success of UGC advertising. Besides, this marketing strategy is not limited to the marketing of mobile game advertisements, but can also be used for the marketing of other products. However, the prerequisite for this marketing method to be effective is that the advertised product or service has good quality

Youtube dirasakan memiliki kekuatan ataupun pengaruh dalam industry, seperti sosial media marketing. Adapun 4 Rekomendasi Channel Belajar Bahasa Inggris Terbaik di Youtube Indonesia yang memanfaatkan Youtube sebagai platform marketing, yaitu : Aaron’s English, Kampung Inggris LC ─ Language Center, Guruku Mr D, dan Sarah Johnson. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghitung kredibilitas dari performa akun Youtube 4 Rekomendasi Channel Belajar Bahasa Inggris Terbaik di Youtube Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini yaitu metode eksploratif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Kampung Inggris LC ─ Language Center mendapatkan peringkat pertama dan memiliki kredibilitas performa akun yang baik.

Instagram, which is usually abbreviated as IG, is a photo and video sharing application that allows users to take photos, take videos, apply digital filters, and share them on various social networking services, including Instagram's own. One unique feature on Instagram is cropping photos into square shapes, so they look like the results of Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid cameras. This is different from the 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio that is commonly used by cameras on mobile devices. Instagram can be used on any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch version with the iOS 7.0 operating system or later, any Android mobile phone with the operating system version 2.2 (Froyo) and above, and Windows Phone 8. This application can be downloaded via the Apple App Store and Google Play. On April 9, 2012, it was announced that Facebook had agreed to take over Instagram for approximately $1 billion. Instagram was first released on October 6, 2010, 11 years ago, the name Instagram Instagram comes from the understanding of the overall function of this application. The word "insta" comes from the word "instant", like the polaroid camera which at that time was better known as "instant photo". Instagram can also display photos instantly, like a polaroid in its display. As for the word "gram" comes from the word "telegram" which works to send information to others quickly. Similarly, Instagram can upload photos using the Internet, so the information you want to convey can be received quickly. That's why Instagram is an extension of the words instant and telegram. On April 9, 2012, it was announced that Instagram would be taken over by Facebook for nearly $1 billion in cash and stock. On May 11, 2016, Instagram introduced a new look as well as a new icon and new app design. Inspired by previous app icons, the new icon is a simple camera and a vivid rainbow in the form of a gradient. YouTube adalah sebuah situs web video sharing (berbagi video) yang populer dimana para pengguna dapat memuat, menonton, dan berbagi klip video secara gratis. Saat ini Youtube menjadi situs online Video provider paling dominan di Amerika serikat, bahkan dunia, dengan menguasai 43% pasar. Adapun 5 Liga Terbaik Eropa Saat Ini yang memanfaatkan Youtube sebagai platform marketing, yaitu : Premier League, LaLiga Santander, seria A, Ligue 1, dan Bundesliga. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghitung kredibilitas dari performa akun Youtube 5 Liga Terbaik Eropa Saat Ini. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini yaitu metode eksploratif kuantitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa LaLiga Santanderbaik mendapatkan peringkat pertama dan memiliki kredibilitas performa akun yang baik.

As our social worlds increasingly shift online, many of the technologies people encounter are mediated by algorithms. Algorithms have become deeply embedded into people's online lives, often working to tailor and personalize their routine encounters with the world. How does one domesticate, or make one's own, an algorithmic system? One of the goals as people adopt new technologies is to weave them into their everyday routines, establishing a pattern of use in order to make that technology their own. In this paper we focus on people's experiences domesticating the short-form video sharing application, TikTok. Through an interview study with 16 LGBTQ+ TikTok users, we explore how people's routine experiences with TikTok's For You Page algorithm influence and inform their domestication process. We first highlight people's motivations for adopting TikTok and the challenges they encounter in this initial acquisition phase of domestication. After adopting the platform, we discuss the challenges people experience across the final three phases of domestication: objectification, incorporation, and conversion. We find that though they enjoy TikTok, our participants feel that they are never fully able to domesticate TikTok. As they are never able to fully control their digital selves, and thus integrate it into their routine lives, TikTok is in constant misalignment with their personal moral economy. We discuss the implications of domesticating algorithmic systems, examining the questions of whose values shape the moral economy created by and through people's uses of algorithmic systems, and the impact of nostalgia on the domestication process.

ABSTRACTInstagram is a photo and video sharing social media application that allows users to take photos, take videos, apply digital filters, and share them on various social networking services, including Instagram's own. In Indonesia, the number of Instagram users until July 2021 is 91.77 million users. The largest users are in the 18-24 year age group, which is 36.4%. Instagram is the third most used social media platform, after YouTube and WhatsApp. The large number of Instagram users in Indonesia, provides a great opportunity for brands to make Instagram a marketing medium. There are 5 mobile phone brands in Indonesia that use Instagram as a marketing platform, namely: Vivo Indonesia, Oppo Indonesia, Apple, Samsung Indonesia, and Xiaomi Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to calculate the credibility of the Instagram account performance of the 5 Best Selling Mobile Brands in Indonesia. The method used for this research is quantitative exploratory method. The results of this study indicate that the smartphone vendor Oppo Indonesia is ranked first and has good account performance credibility.

AbstractThe coypu, Myocastor coypus, has been introduced worldwide for fur farming and is widely recognized as one of the most invasive alien mammals of the world, affecting natural ecosystems, crops and possibly human health. Here we present a comprehensive up-to-date review of its distribution and status in Asia and Africa. Using a multi-source approach, we collected occurrences from published literature as well as from online biodiversity platforms (e.g. GBIF, iNaturalist), video sharing platforms, and local experts. Additionally, we used an ensemble modelling approach to predict the climatic suitability across Africa and Asia. We present an updated distribution map, including a total of 1506 spatially explicit records from 1973 to 2021, covering 1 African and 16 Asian countries. We find evidence for current populations in Kenya and five new countries since the last review of (Carter and Leonard, Wildl Soc Bull 30:162–175, 2002): Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, and identify main clusters of coypu occurrence in Western (including Transcaucasia) and East Asia. We show that warm temperate and Mediterranean areas on both continents are predicted to be climatically suitable for the coypu and highlight not only areas of possible spread, but also potential data gaps, i.e. with high suitability and low availability of concrete information (e.g. China, Southern Russia). We emphasize the importance of citizen involvement and the urgency for coypu-targeted studies in data-poor regions to obtain a clear picture of the geographical distribution and to better address management strategies.

Youtube is a video sharing website created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. The company is headquartered in San Bruno, California. Youtube allows users to create videos of minimum duration from 10 minutes to 8 minutes, accompanied by a variety of user/creator-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos. In addition, amateur content such as video blogs, and several other creative features. In Indonesia, there are 93.8 percent of the 170 million active users, making Indonesia the country with the largest Youtube users in the world. The number of active Youtube users in Indonesia can certainly provide an opportunity for brands to make the Youtube platform a social media marketing platform. There are 5 world-famous jewelry brand vendors that use Youtube as a marketing platform, namely: Dior, Tiffany & Co, Mikimoto, Cartier, and Buccellati. The purpose of this study is to calculate the credibility of the Youtube account performance of the Top 5 Famous Jewelry Brand Vendors in the World. The method used in this study is an exploratory quantitative method. The results of this study indicate that the vendor of a well-known jewelry brand in the world. Indonesia is ranked first and has good account performance credibility.

A popular video sharing site, YouTube, could be used as an alternative teaching medium in online learning activities during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is useful to help students to keep on learning and get materials well in the difficult circumstance caused by the pandemic. This study aims to describe how Youtube is used as a learning medium in English teaching, especially the writing skill at MTs Ma'aarif NU 01 Kemranjen during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data are collected through the triangulation of interview, observation, and documentation. The data are then analysed by applying Miles and Huberman’s (1994) model of data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this study reveal that Youtube is seen to be a good learning medium to cope with the learning difficulties in the unprecedented Covid-19 crisis. The asynchronous nature of the Youtube videos enabled students to repeat the video as much as they want to. The implementation of Youtube in online learning was done in three stages: 1) preparation, the teacher makes and uploads the videos; 2) implementation, the teacher shares the link and provides brief explanation on WhatsApp; and 3) evaluation, the teacher gives quizzes to ensure that the materials are well-received. Meanwhile, the obstacles in the implementation are poor Intenet network, insufficient facilities, and unmotivated students. The pedagogical implication from this study is that Youtube is a good fit for online learning, it is highly recommended for teaching during the pandemic.
