The role of the community and the government is a must in maintaining and developing tourist destinations. In this article, it will be discussed how to encourage the potential of Bali as an Indonesian tourist destination.

The concept of strategy is the composition of the mission in an organization or company in planning activities in order to achieve a goal and be on target by considering many aspects, namely the aspect of competition and the influence of the strength of the factors from the environment. The role of the government is very important in formulating strategies to support the development of tourism destinations, especially new destinations.There are several factors that are fulfilled in developing an area to become a tourist destination, including objects, facilities, infrastructure, transportation. In addition, in this era of all-around social media, there are so many tourist objects that are viral to the public via social media such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and others. Tourist attractions managers must be able to take advantage of this social media phenomenon because it will greatly impact a very significant increase in visits.In the midst of the current corona virus pandemic, it has resulted in a significant decline in the tourism sector. Therefore, the right strategy to prepare for the new normal era really needs to be prepared.

This study aims to reveal the public’s perception and the management’s perspective about halal food tourism at speciality restaurants in Bandung. The background of this study is there are still many producers of food products that are not necessarily halal and are not yet certified by halal authorities (MUI) but they have claimed to be halal with the perception of their producers. This research uses a qualitative method. The results showed that some respondents still did not understand very well that related to the concept of halal food. All respondents agreed that the government and Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) have a right to issue halal certificates. As for the potential for halal food in Indonesia, it is not evenly distributed, because only a few regions or certain tourist attractions have started to optimize the program. The strategy of developing halal food tourism in Indonesia can certainly be managed by the tourism sector because it is very closely related. The conclusion from this research is that there must be a halal food tourism model so that it can be used as a platform. One of the favorite destinations visited by tourists in Singapore is Sentosa Island. Sentosa Island is an integrated tourism destination that provides various tourist attractions such as Universal Studio and Madame Tussauds Singapore. The government made Sentosa Island as one of the tourism image of Singapore.

The Philippines is endowed with abundant natural tourist attractions. One of the provinces in the Philippines is Iloilo wherein the town of Igbaras can be found. Igbaras is considered as one of the leading tourist destinations in the province due to its bountiful hidden attractions. Igcabugao is home to Igbaras’ several beauty spots such as Igcabugao Cave, Lapusan Cave, with an underground river, and Guiritsan Falls. This study was conducted to determine the potential of Igcabugao as a tourist destination in the southern part of Iloilo. Videos and pictures of Igcabugao were used by the researchers in focused group discussion conducted among tourism students of the different colleges and universities in Iloilo City. Qualitative thematic analysis was used to analyze the findings of the study. Findings revealed that Igcabugao have a lot of natural attractions that it could be developed as a potential tourist destination. It concluded that Igcabugao has the elements of a successful tourist destination. The cooperation of residents, local government and the tourism sector is a key to plan for and develop Igcabugao as a tourist destination. Recommendations, among others, were centered on the drafting of a Sustainable Tourism Development Plan for Igcabugao. Branding of territories is growing rapidly as an approach used in the tourism sector to promote a tourist destination. The concept of branding was borrowed from the world of the mass market and is actively used in a number of national tourist destinations, however, at this stage of its development, an academic analysis of the value and effectiveness of the use of branding of territories is still not fully carried out. First of all, the role of branding in regional tourist territories is not investigated, where brand personalization is extremely important given the geographical proximity of their location.

The new normal phase has already begun. The tourism sector is slowly starting to operate. Setigi (Selo Tirto Giri) is a new tourist destination in the Gresik Regency region that gets priority from the local government to operate. As a new tourist destination, Setigi should have the right development guide. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach for 1 (one) month, where we focused on aspects of qualitative data that refer to the criteria and indicators of tourism destination development. We collect data by field observations, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, supported by quantitative non-reactive data. The analysis was carried out by the IFAS/EFAS analysis phase, followed by the SWOT/TOWS Matrix analysis technique. This research reveals that, in general, the management of Setigi is in harmony with the principles of the development of tourist destinations and tourist attractions. The manager has also strived to implement the Sapta Pesona criteria into the management of Setigi. However, there are some notes to improve Setigi's performance towards better tourism destinations.

Malaria is still a public health problem in Pangandaran Regency. Increasing imported malaria cases from year to year become the main problem since Pangandaran is a tourist destination and is currently doing development in the tourism sector. This study aimed to look at socio-cultural factors in the community that contribute to the increased risk of malaria transmission. This research was conducted with interviews and environmental observations. Respondents were randomly selected from the population living in the District of Pangandaran. The results showed that the habit of going out at night, traveling to endemic areas, and choosing potential breeding places around settlements or tourist attractions would increase the risk of malaria transmission in Pangandaran. In this context, health workers need to discuss and provide understanding to the community about the dangers of malaria transmission so that people become more concerned and make independent prevention eff orts. The development of tourist destinations must also consider environmental factors sMalaria merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang ditemukan di wilayah Kabupaten Pangandaran. Peningkatan kasus malaria impor dari tahun ke tahun menjadi masalah terutama karena Pangandaran merupakan daerah tujuan wisata dan sedang melakukan pengembangan di sektor pariwisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat faktor sosial budaya di masyarakat yang memiliki potensi meningkatkan risiko penularan malaria. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara dan pengamatan lingkungan. Responden dipilih secara acak dari penduduk yang tinggal di wilayah Kecamatan Pangandaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebiasaan keluar malam, kebiasaan bepergian/merantau ke luar kota termasuk ke daerah endemis dan keberadaan tempat perindukan potensial di sekitar pemukiman atau objek wisata akan meningkatkan risiko penularan malaria di Pangandaran. Dalam konteks ini, para petugas kesehatan perlu melakukan pendekatan menyeluruh dan memberikan pengertian kepada masyarakat tentang bahaya penularan malaria sehingga masyarakat menjadi lebih peduli dan melakukan upaya pencegahan secara mandiri. Pengembangan daerah wisata pun harus memperhatikan faktor-faktor lingkungan seperti letak tempat perindukan potensial Anopheles spp. uch as potential places for Anopheles spp brood. Abstrak

Tourism is the potential of each region, with the optimal management of the tourism sector is able to improve the economic growth of surrounding communities. In response to the problem of managing the tourism  sector, not only the government that is responsible, but the role of private and public sectors is needed which is run according to the tourism program in Jombang. The tourism problem Jombang much frequented by foreign tourism and domestic tourist and increase from year but no significant impact on revenue. This study uses data collection techniques interviews and documentation. Technical analysis of the data used include qualitative data analysis. The result of this study refers to the theory of Van Meter and Van Horn as a confirmation  of the theory. This study found that tourism program Jombang is not optimal, the number of tourist who visit do not have an impact on increasing revenue for local government. It was also found not optimal implementation of tourism programs implemented. Tourism policy by applying the model of information system integrated tourism (integrated tourism/IT) can be synergized and integrated toursm development program that is ideal in these destinations and the socialization of program / tourism activities be intensified and evenly to the surrounding community to express their aspirations so that this cooperation can goes well and provide benefits to all and teint parties. eg travel agents, transportation, hotels, catering, tour operators, tour operators, tourist attraction and souvenir shop, where everything is together teintergrasi it will have an impact on increase in tourist destinations and revenue.
