This study aims to find out the phenomenon of Indonesian language in learners, how the views of reconstructionism and the role of communicative methods in developing language skills in learners. The research method that I use is qualitative research method. Descriptive qualitative research method is done by technique. The results of this study, namely learners are still difficult to use the Indonesian language is good and true in the formal situation. This can not be separated from the acquisition and learning of language obtained by previous learners. Based on the theory of reconstructionism and communicative methods, learners can acquire and use a language well if the language is often used or communicative. This implies that a person can build the language skills of the experiences he / she obtains, meaning that learners should often experience or use the language. The role of the communicative method itself, which is to improve or develop the language skills of learners. The role of schools and teachers is to encourage children to use these languages by creating specific situations (communicative situations) so that the language skills of learners develop well, be it Indonesian-speaking or foreign languages.

Language is used to convey messages and thoughts to the other person. Indonesian is used as a national language as well as a unifying language. In accordance with the mandate of Article 36 of the 1945 Constitution, "State Language is Indonesian". In addition, the position of Indonesian as a National Language was made on October 28, 1928 on the day of the "Youth Oath" which had functions as: a symbol of national identity, a symbol of nationality, communication tools and a unifying tool of different tribes; religion; race; customs and culture. In the current era of globalization, we must master languages other than Indonesian to communicate with other nations, and support our language skills in learning. But we must be able to preserve Indonesian as our primary language, a language that must be used frequently in relationships. Not infrequently foreign languages are more favored than using our own language. Most teenagers are even more proud of using foreign languages fluently. In the use of a foreign language, it certainly has an influence on the existence of Indonesian language, besides that, the quality of learning that exists in Indonesia. Each influence will certainly produce positive and negative impacts.

This study aims to describe the role of foreign languages as a medium for the development of pesantren in the archipelago. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. Pesantren is one of the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. In the history of its development, pesantren reap some barriers, until finally at the beginning of XX century pesantren began to demand by many people. The success of pesantren in managing Islamic education is partly because of the role of foreign languages (Arabic and English) taught in it. In the globalization era, foreign language is a primary requirement for students, thus making pesantren as an alternative institution in developing foreign language skills of santri, in addition, the learning of foreign languages in pesantren is more effective because of the language environment. This is one of them can make foreign language as one of the political media in order to advance the existence of pesantren. Foreign language politics in pesantren means managing foreign languages as the language of communication in various policies in pesantren. Some pesantrens in Indonesia with a background of modern pesantren and Salāf pesantren are keen to utilize foreign languages as a means of communication, resistance, and reconstruction of pesantren, such as the modern pesantren Gontor Ponorogo, Darullughah Wadda'wah Bangil Pasuruan pesantren, and Sidogiri Pasuruan pesantren. Some of these pesantren are pesantren who successfully manage foreign languages in accordance with the above functions.
