Listing of Computer Usage in De La Salle University Manado Computer Laboratory is still using the conventional method. Until this time, that method has felt efficient. But, if we look further along with data processing matter, the inefficiency can be seen. This Client-Server based Database of Computer Usage Application is designed on top of that. Hopefully this application could improve the control of the computer usage in computer laboratory and ease those kind of work.

This chapter introduces the hybrid GLW information infrastructure as an alternative to proprietary-only information infrastructures with lower costs. The author argues that the use of FLOSS servers in a client- server infrastructure reduces the transaction costs relative to the data processing and the contract management that organizations have to support, preserving the investment already made with the installed base of clients in comparison to the use of proprietary managed servers. Transaction costs of two realworld proprietary infrastructures, Netware 5.0 and Windows NT 4.0, and of GLW, all with Windows 98 clients, are described and compared to give elements for the reader to analyze and decide.

In reference to telemetry data processing, an improved method is presented, which makes use of telemetry data that the conventional method abandons. Qualitative analysis is made to show the advantage of the improved method. Simulation results indicate that the improved method can obtain 1~3dB gain, better than the conventional method.

Sebagai salah satu fasilitas pembelajaran, laboratorium komputer perlu dirancang sebaik-baiknya dengan memperhatikan aspek ergonomi, sehingga kenyamanan dan motivasi belajar siswa menjadi lebih baik serta prestasi yang setinggi-tingginya dapat tercapai. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji aspek-aspek ergonomi dalam ruang laboratorium komputer RPL di SMK Plus Laboratorium Indonesia Karawang. Data yang diperlukan adalah data kenyamanan belajar siswa yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner, serta data kenyamanan termal, kebisingan, dan pencahayaan yang diperoleh melalui pengukuran langsung. Data tersebut selanjutnya diolah, dikaji, dan dievaluasi berdasarkan standar dan peraturan yang berlaku. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa merasa tidak nyaman terhadap kondisi termal dan pencahayaan yang ada. Selain itu juga diperoleh hasil bahwa kondisi termal dan pencahayaan berada di bawah standar yang ada, sedangkan kondisi kebisingan masih menenuhi standar. Dengan demikian, pihak manajemen sekolah perlu melakukan perbaikan terhadap kondisi termal dan pencahayaan dalam laboratorium komputer agar tingkat kenyamanan belajar siswa menjadi lebih baik.Kata kunci: ergonomi, kenyamanan belajar, kenyamanan termal, kebisingan, pencahayaanComputer laboratory as one of the learning facilities should to be designed as well as possible by considering ergonomics aspects, so as to ensure students learning comfort and student learning motivation to be better and achievement as high as can be achieved. This research is intended to study aspects of ergonomic in the computer laboratory of Software Engineering Department in SMK Plus Laboratorium Indonesia Karawang. The data required are student learning comfort data which obtained through questionnaire distribution and thermal comfort, noise, and lighting data were obtained through direct measurement. Furthermore, data were processed, studied and evaluated based on applicable standards and regulations. The results of data processing show that most students feel uncomfortable to the existing thermal and lighting conditions. It also obtained the result that the thermal and lighting conditions are below the existing standard, while the noise conditions still meet the standards. Thus, the school management should to make improvements to the thermal and lighting conditions in the computer laboratory so that students comfort level to be better.Keywords: ergonomics, learning comfort, thermal comfort, noise, lighting

The rapid development of computer technology and information greatly helps work in storing, accessing to data processing becomes faster and easier, this has triggered various fields in utilizing this with the use of computer-based information systems, especially for intelligence units in western security police. The system that will be created uses access to the virtual host-based client server. Modeling used UML modeling, this system is built using PHP programming language and MYSQL database. The results of the study show that the information system designed can process criminal data and is able to be implemented at the research site..

Yayasan Pembina masjid (YPM) Salman ITB is the foundation that manages the activities of religious service. The process of recording transactions in both of revenue and expenditure on the ledgers are still using Microsoft Office Excel as a tool for data processing. Financial statements prepared by the YPM Salman ITB is not fully using the islamic principles. For these problem the writer take the title "Design Of Financial Statement Accounting Information System Using Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 Software and MySQL Based Client Server" with islamic principles.

ABSTRAKPAUD Uswatun Hasanah Kota Bengkulu merupakan salah satu lembaga pendidikan yang menyelenggarakan Program TK, Kober, TPA, SPS. Selama ini proses pengolahan data di PAUD masih menggunakan cara konvensional yaitu dengan mengisi formulir pendaftaran calon peserta didik, pendataan calon peserta didik, guru, hingga pembayaran uang rutin SPP. Dengan proses pengolahan data tersebut, terdapat masalah yang muncul yaitu sering terjadi kehilangan arsip data. Sistem pengolahan data terpadu berbasis client server pada PAUD Uswatun Hasanah Bengkulu dibuat menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan Database MySQL. Aplikasi ini digunakan untuk membantu proses pengolahan data, sehingga mempermudah admin dalam proses pengarsipan dan pengambilan data. Kata Kunci : Client Server, PHP dan mySQL ABSTRACTPAUD Uswatun Hasanah Bengkulu City is one of the educational institutions that organizes TK, Kober, TPA, SPS Programs. Currently the development of information technology increasingly widespread, this is in line with the development of computers that are increasingly rapidly. Various technologies can now be created so as to facilitate all human activity. Sophistication of information technology has now become one of the requirements that must be met in order to keep up with technology. Technology and information that can not be separated from one another. But now there are many companies that have not implemented such a system because they various things. One problem is the lack of knowledge about the company's computer system, resulting in the company using the manual method, for example in the process of data processing. In this case PT. Citra Riau Sarana as one of the companies engaged in plantations, especially in the buying and selling palm oil CPO (Crude Palm Oil), which is still occurring problems in the data processing is still manual, so experiencing difficulties and frequent errors in data processing. The method used is the method of data collection by observation, interviews, library research, design models described using data flow diagrams (DAD) and entity relationship diagram (ERD). This application was built using Delphi 7 and SQL Server 2005. Applications that use the Desktop and Client-Server based, hoped to use this application the Company may reduce the level of unwanted errors and speed up data processing.

The shortages of the present method of data processing of flocculating sedimentation are pointed out and analyzed in this study. A new method of data processing is put forward and the advantages of this new method are discussed. Compared to the conventional method, the isolines of partial removal efficiency need not to be drawn when the new method is employed and the new method is straightforward, practical and accurate and it is worth to be popularized.
