Teamwork is a critical component of team performance and requires an explanation of how a team behaves and it has the ability to enable the members of the team to have a higher level of emotional security, self-confidence and the ability to plan and decide with others positively. However, the benefits of teamwork for the employees are often more abstract and difficult to distinguish that may hamper organizational productivity. This study is an endeavor to extend the literature of impact on teamwork on organizational productivity in commercial banks. This paper attempts to examine the impact of teamwork on organizational productivity in Nepalese commercial banks. Structured questionnaires were distributed to 500 respondents of 27 Nepalese commercial banks but out of them only 350 responses are collected and are used for analysis. Descriptive and casual comparative research design are used to determine the relationship of organizational productivity (dependent variable) with independent variables (teamwork, team trust, working environment, training and development, and esprit de corps). Descriptive statistics and multiple regression models have been used to analyze the data. Organizational productivity is positively correlated with all independent variables and regression results exhibit significant and positive beta coefficients. It is observed that working environment is the most powerful factor for organizational productivity and employees’ satisfaction and training and development is the least influencing factor among all factors. Nepalese commercial banks also take into consideration team trust, teamwork, and espirit de corps because these factors have positive impact on organizational productivity. Nepalese commercial banks should focus on increase in prompt response to the team trust, appropriate training and development, better working environment, and proper teamwork to increase productivity.

Profitability is an important factor to show this articledoeswhat is the role of the intermediary bank to collect your savings and allocation of loans.  Given the importance of profitability indicators in this study, the factors affecting the profitability of commercial banks in Iranare analyzedwith emphasis on the degree of centralization and bank deposits. Dependent variable is indicators of profitability (ROE, ROA) and bank deposits, bank size, bank capital, focus on liquidity and banking requirements are independent variables. Correlation analysis and OLS regression are used and the research period is 1381 to 1390 that the country's territory where bank branches.Our results indicate that the effect of bank size on profitability is positive and the increase in bank size on profitability is increased. Impact on the profitability of bank deposits is positive, ie increasing the profitability of bank deposits increased. Finally, the impact of bank concentration on profitability is positive. Increasing the bank's focus profitability increases. Moreover, the results adversely affect the liquidity of the index is profit.

This paper mainly concentrates on examining the impact of monetary policy on commercial banks’ profit in Vietnam by using panel data regression. In our study, the data is collected from 20 commercial banks which were doing business in Vietnam’s banking market, ranging from 2007 to 2014 in annually frequency. Monetary base (MB), discount rate (DIS) and required reserve ratio (RRR) are used as proxies for monetary policy. Profit before tax (PROFIT) is used to represent commercial banks’ performance. The results show that there is a positive relationship between banks’ profits and monetary policies. Among those chosen variables representing SBV’s monetary policy, only MB has a significant positive impact on bank’s profit at the significance level of 10%. On this premise, the study recommends that MB should be one of the variables in the center of being concerned in the SBV’s policies regarding the banking performance and stability.

The purpose of this research is to study bank innovations in the field of mobile banking, debit and credit cards, automated machines (ATM), internet banking, point of sale terminals (PST) and electronic funds transfer (EFT). It purposely looked into those innovations in relation to their influence on profitability and return on assets (ROA) of Lebanese commercial banks. Data was collected through a research questionnaire, and statistical analysis was done using the Package of Social Sciences Software (SPSS). The results revealed that there is a significant positive impact of bank innovations on profitability and return on assets of Lebanese commercial banks and significance tests also showed that the impact was statistically significant. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that bank innovations affect profitability and return on assets (ROA) of commercial banks in Lebanon positively.

Purpose – This article aims to investigate perceptions of Turkish nurses on the impact of accreditation on quality of care and the effect of accreditation on quality results. Design/methodology/approach – This study was performed as a cross-sectional, questionnaire-based survey on 258 nurses who started working in the hospital before it was accredited and continued to work during and after accrediation and who therefore knew both the hospital's pre-accrediation and post-accreditation periods. In this study, descriptive statistical analyses (means and standard deviations) were carried out to explore the views of the participants on “quality results,” “benefits of accreditation” and “participation of employees.” “Quality results” was considered to be the dependent variable, while “benefits of accreditation” and “participation of employees” were accepted as the independent variables. The relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variables was tested using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis. External patient satisfaction data collected by the quality department of the hospital before and after accreditation were also investigated. Findings – It was found that nurses had generally high scores for the items concerning the benefits of accreditation. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between the dependent variable (quality results) and the independent variables (benefits of accreditation and participation of employees). Regression analysis indicated that R2=0.461 and the extent to which the independent variables explained the dependent variable was 46.1 per cent, which is a high rate. Patient satisfaction scores increased after accreditation. Practical implications – Our study suggest that providing support for nurses, especially nurses with administrative responsibilities and incorporating employees into the process are important for exercising quality standards. Originality/value – Hospital accreditation has a positive impact on quality results especially on quality of care provided to patients and patient satisfaction. Study findings could guide policy makers and hospital managers in Turkey and in other countries who are preparing or implementing accreditation.

<p>The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of training and development function on enhancing competitiveness capacity for Jordanian industrial companies. The variables of this study consisted of independent variable ( Training and development function) and dependent variable ( enhancing competitiveness capacity) .</p><p>The study employed the statistical analytical descriptive approach based on the literature review approach and field work to test the study hypotheses. The population of this study consisted of Jordanian industrial companies. A sample consisted of (30) general managers and department managers as a respondents of this study, the researcher targeted industrial companies which was selecting randomly . The study used questionnaire as a tool to collect data to measure study sample individuals attitudes toward the impact of training and development function on enhancing competitiveness capacity for Jordanian industrial companies.</p><p>The findings of the study indicates that there is high correlation relationship between independent variable and it's dimensions with dependent variable, and there is positive impact of training and development function on enhancing competitiveness capacity for Jordanian industrial companies.</p>The study recommends to apply this study on the other sectors by researchers in the future, establish professional training unit in every medium and large industrial company, and deduct a reasonable ratio from it's annual profits for training.

 This paper is concerned with the examination of the impact of quality of work life for job satisfaction in Nepalese commercial banks. To achieve the purpose of the study, structured questionnaire is prepared and collected from 225 respondents. Descriptive and casual comparative research design have been used in this study. The multiple regression model has been used to test the relationship. The results show that working environment, work life balance, compensation and reward, training and development, and job design are positively related to job satisfaction. The regression result shows that the beta coefficients for all variables are positive and significant with job satisfaction.

Nowadays, the objective of achieving customer satisfaction has become more and more important in order to maintain organization’s competitive advantage within its industry. This study aims to identify the supplier’s performance focuses on the service quality present provided to retailers. The independent variables for this study include reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, tangible and consistency. This study was conducted among retailers in Taman Connaught, Cheras and the interview questionnaires were distributed to 5 respondents to test the degree of satisfaction in terms of the five components of service quality and consistency. The collected data was analyzed by classified the respondents into respective groups namely “satisfied retailers” and “dissatisfied retailers”. This study provides several constructive recommendations to the suppliers to improve their performance such as create a commitment, track mistakes, invest in training and development and organize quality circles.

Objective: To prepare oral curcumin delivery and optimize curcumin loading of 3D-nano-cellulose networks material (3DCM) by looking into the impact of process variables on the response utilizing response surface methodology (RSM) and Box-Behnken design. Methods: Optimization of curcumin loading of 3DCM was conducted using RSM and Box-Behnken model. Impact of four independent variables, including, the concentration of curcumin (X1), temperature (X2), shaking speed (X3), and time of loading (X4), was studied on one dependent response, that is, an amount of loaded curcumin (Y). Characterization of optimized 3DCM including curcumin was examined by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis . Results: R2 value for Y was approximately 0.94. X1 possessed the biggest positive impact compared to X2, X3 and X4. Optimized conditions for curcumin loading of 3DCM were X1 at 3 mg/ml, X2 at 40 °C, X3 at 120 rpm and X4 at 120 min. SEM photograph of 3DCM surfaces were found including fibers creating a 3D network structure. FTIR spectra studies depicted that there was no interaction between curcumin and 3DCM. Conclusion: The data obtained in this study thus suggest that curcumin loaded 3DCM was successfully fabricated to give a potential oral delivery system of curcumin.

The non-performing loans (NPL) of financial institutions are considered as a significant issue in the context of Nepal for last few decades. The paper aims to identify the impact of macroeconomic variables (GDP, Inflation, and Real Effective Exchange Rate) and bank specific variables (size, change in loan, real lending rate of interest, and share of loan to total assets) on the non-performing loan of the commercial banks in Nepal. The study was conducted mainly with secondary sources. The data were collected for 26 commercial banks covering the period of 2002-2012 with 227 observations. The study found that macroeconomic variables such as the real effective exchange rate have significantly negative impact on non-performing loan. The impact of GDP growth rate was found to be insignificant in this study. One year lagged inflation rate has significant positive impact on non-performing loan. The banks which charge relatively higher real interest rate have higher non-performing loan, which is consistent with the findings of previous studies. The ownership dummy has positive coefficient and significant at one percent level showing that if the bank is government owned the non-performing loan would be higher than that of the private owned banks. As well, more lending in the previous years and current year reduces the non-performing loan since the coefficient of change in loan in current and previous years have negative coefficient and significant at one percent level.Economic Journal of Development Issues Vol. 19 & 20 No. 1-2 (2015) Combined Issue, Page: 22-38

Corporate mergers and acquisition has become a highly popular strategy in recent years. Thus, much attention has been focused on its outcomes. It has served as a substitute for innovation, a greater means of diversification. The banking sector is often referred to as an engine growth of the economy. The intermediation role which the sector plays in national development cannot be overemphasized. Thus, given the recent consolidation exercise in the Nigerian banking sector, we explored the impact of mergers and acquisition on managerial commitment in this paper. We adopted the descriptive survey method and primary data were obtained using oral interview and questionnaire. The population of this study comprised all consolidated banks in Nigeria and the total sample size for this study was 384 respondents from commercial banks in South East Nigeria. The Chi-square (X2) non-parametric statistic was used to test the hypotheses. The results revealed that mergers and acquisitions have significant positive effect on managerial role and commitment of managers of commercial banks in Nigerias South East Region. We, therefore, recommend that incentive measures such as improved pay and good working environment should be promoted in commercial banks during mergers and acquisitions as these will further enhance managerial commitment.
