Since its independence in 1991, the promotion of human rights has been a part of Georgia’s efforts towards the integration into Euro-Atlantic Institutions. However, difficulties in introducing the concept of individual, democratic and human rights are persistent in the teaching/learning process, as these concepts are still not organic and commonly understood in popular culture. Herewith, a growing level of political and societal polarisation between nationalistic and liberal forces impedes the process of effective promotion of universal human rights principles. The article analyzes the tensions between the core values of nationalism and liberal ideology in Georgia, as well as the supporting factors for the promotion of human rights education (HRE). It discusses the potential of HRE in mitigating the societal polarisation and reaching social cohesion around the basic civic values. A conclusion is made that, despite considerable progress achieved in promoting HRE in Georgia during the last decade, complexities remain related to the difficulty of introducing the concepts of individual, democratic and human rights in the teaching/learning process, as such concepts are still not organic and commonly understood in popular culture. Based on the best practices identified in various impact assessment studies on HRE worldwide, recommendations are offered for the schools to introduce transformative and emancipatory learning and make HRE effective through the application of the ‘wholeschool’ approach - an effective tool for bringing tangible changes to the school environment, as well as the impact on the household and community levels. By the way it presents itself, the repulsive educational style brings indisputable prejudices to the teachinglearning process, strongly affecting the entire construction of this process, especially the segment that covers the relationship between the teacher and the students. Having the ability to impose itself differently – as something reminiscent of an authoritarian or nomothetic behavioral, distant or impulsive, ultra-reactive or strict, oscillating or detached – the educational style in question is characterized by the fact that it contradicts the rights and duties incumbent on the position of a teacher. In his presence, the school environment collapses, ceasing to present a „suitable environment in which essential connections can be created for the multilateral and harmonious development of the student” or a „space in which the professional competence of the teacher is complementary to the developmental particularities of the student”. Moreover, through the conflicting energies he releases, he distorts the meaning of the teaching profession, obviously contributing to the establishment of didactogeny. Or, as it has been mentioned more than once, in various specialty sources, if the educational style does not resonate with the rights and duties of the pedagogical profession, the didactogeny is predetermined, simply, to become a reality, a state in fact, which must be associated with the big mistakes in the area of the teaching–learning process or, in other words, with the big deviations from what the professional deontology of the teacher means.

Abstract: Introduction: The teaching-learning process in health involves a binomial: on the one hand, teaching (the teacher and the institution) and, on the other hand, the students and their ability to adequately interact in this context. Just as teaching requires specific skills, learning also requires students to be able to master the necessary skills for learning. Feedback should also be understood in this regard. Although feedback is a frequent topic in the literature, few studies have addressed its meaning and impact from the students’ perspective. Moreover, a gap has been identified between theory and practice regarding the real power of feedback in the teaching-learning process. Objective: This study aimed to assess medical students’ understanding of feedback. Method: This is a qualitative research with a descriptive and exploratory focus, carried out using in the case study modality, with the focus group technique in data collection and thematic content analysis. The participants were medical students attending the fourth-year or eighth-semester at three schools located in the state of Goiás, Brazil. Results: The following categories emerged: understanding of feedback, frequency of received feedback, impact of feedback on the teaching-learning process and perception about the received feedback. Students understood in part the concept of feedback, not recognizing the internal feedback. A low frequency of feedback was reported and depended on the teacher, subject and year/semester of the course related to the type of curriculum. Even so, the participants recognized the points of feedback that impact on the teaching-learning process and were receptive to effective feedback. Conclusion: Even though they knew the meaning of feedback only partially and experienced it irregularly, medical students recognized the impact of this tool on the teaching-learning process. In a context of students trained to know about their own knowledge, truly empowering them in the teaching-learning process, they will develop a constant reflective practice of generating internal feedback, allowing the actual impact of feedback on the teaching-learning process to be observed in practice, as described in the literature.

No one will argue on this statement as long as ICT is appropriately utilized (well planned, integrated, and sustained) in the instructional activities. However, most research or studies on ICT utilization only focus more on the impact of students’ learning achievement and less on the challenges that teachers face in utilizing ICT in their teaching learning process. In other words, has ICT utilization in schools been well planned, integrated, and sustained? If the answer is “Yes”, what are the steps that have been taken to utilize ICT for learning? If the answer is “No”, what are the causes? Why are there some more developed schools in utilizing ICT and followed with improvement of their students’ learning achievement (ICT gives possitive impact)? It can be stated that there are some factors of opportunities, challenges, as well as hopes that need to be considered before or during utilizing ICT in teaching-learning process. This has attracted the author to conduct a study that is based on some references and supported by some observation and discussion with some teachers and educational personnels. The objective of this study is to know some opportunities, challenges, and hopes in ICT utilization for learning that can be used as references to facilitate teachers in utilizing ICT in their teaching-learning process. Keywords: Information and Communication Technology (ICT), learning, learning achievement

Teachers have three roles in carrying out their duties, namely the role of educators, instructors and mentors. The role as an educator is always required to be a role model in his steps both in the school environment and in the community, then the role as a teacher always provides knowledge in accordance with his field in a humanistic manner, while the role as a supervisor is to deliver students to be able to overcome their own problems with encouragement and attention to his personality. Misperception about the task of implementing guidance and counseling services in schools is only done by guidance and counseling teachers, it seems that there needs to be an improvement in the perception of subject teachers. Therefore, to change this, universities as prospective subject teacher printers must provide guidance and counseling courses with explanatory content leading to the role of subject teachers as supervisors.
