The vulnerability to burnout among teachers from Penang preschool has become an intense issue to be addressed. Moreover, preschool teachers struggle with more burnout when there are greater levels of job demands and insufficient levels of job resources. Therefore, this paper aimed to inspect the predictors of burnout among preschool teachers. Besides, this paper examines also work engagement as the promising mediator. There was a total of 102 participations by Penang preschool teachers in the research. The study discovered that work engagement was in a significant negative relationship with burnout. Meanwhile, job demands were in a significant negative relationship with work engagement whereas job resources were in a significant positive relationship with work engagement. Furthermore, it is determined that job demands and job resources possessed a significant indirect relationship with burnout respectively, through work engagement as a mediator. The outcomes of this study are advantageous to both scholars and practitioners who wish to safeguard and minimize the burnout level among preschool teachers.

The 2 types of exchange relationship perceptions—social exchange relationship perceptions (SERPs) and economic exchange relationship perceptions (EERPs)—constitute the primary concept for understanding individual behavior in the workplace. Using a sample of 581 employees from Mainland China, I explored the effects of SERPs and EERPs on employee extrarole behavior (ERB), as well as the moderating effect of organization-based self-esteem (OBSE) on the relationships between SERPs and ERB, and between EERPs and ERB. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between SERPs and ERB, a significant negative relationship between EERPs and ERB, and a significant moderating effect for OBSE. Theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed.

All commercial banks, development banks, and finance companies are taken as population of the study. The study deals with financial performance analysis of entire population covering five years from 2014/15 to 2018/19. The variables such as capital adequacy, assets quality, management efficiency, earnings and liquidity are used to analyze financial performance. Descriptive as well as pooled regression analysis was used to assess the relationship among the variables. Descriptive analysis shows that financial institutions in each category meet NRB standard regarding capital adequacy. On the basis of capital adequacy and earnings, finance companies stand at first, on the basis of assets quality, development banks stand at first and on the basis of management efficiency, commercial banks stand at first. Finance companies store high liquidity as compared to other class financial institutions. The regression analysis shows that return on assets, ROA has significant positive relationship with capital adequacy and ROE but ROA has significant negative relationship with assets quality. However, return on equity, ROE has significant positive relationship with assets quality and ROA but ROE has significant negative relationship with capital adequacy. Capital adequacy and assets quality play major role to maximize ROA and ROE of financial institutions.

The major purposes of the study were to determine the extent of the problem faced by the farmers in bean cultivation and to explore the relationships between bean farmers’ selected characteristics with their problem faced. The study was conducted in four villages of two unions under Atghoria upazilla of Pabna District. Data were collected from a random sample of 106 bean farmers by using an interview schedule during 15 Dec, 2017 to 15 Jan, 2018. The highest proportion (71.70 percent) of the farmers faced medium overall problem in bean production, while 16.04 percent faced high and 12.26 percent faced low problem. Problem faced in non-availability of pesticides ranked 1st and this was followed by non-availability of fertilizers, lack of capital so on and least one lack of irrigation in bean cultivation ranked 28th. Correlation analysis indicated that education, training exposure, organizational participation, extension media contact and farmers’ knowledge had significant negative relationship with their problem faced. Age had significant positive relationship with their problem faced while family members, farm size, annual family income, bean cultivation area, and credit received by the farmers had no significant relationship with their problem faced. Overwhelming (87.74) majority of bean farmers faced medium to high problems therefore, it may be said that problem faced by the farmers in bean cultivation is a serious issue to be addressed to maximize bean production.Res. This research has found that political participation index and political culture index has a significant positive relationship with literacy rate in all the method. The functioning of the government index has a significant positive relationship and electoral process and the pluralism index has a significant negative relationship with literacy rate in all the methods except the GMM method. The study was conducted to determine the attitude of farmers towards the use of urea super granule (USG) in rice cultivation and explore relationship between the selected characteristics of the farmers. Data were collected through personal interview from 84 randomly selected USG users in rice cultivation of the three villages under Sadar Upazila of Netrakona district during October to December 2008. A five point Likert scale was used to determine the attitude of farmers. The majority (73.81%) of the farmers had moderately favourable, 21.43% slightly favourable and 4.76% highly favourable attitude towards use of USG in rice cultivation. Level of education, farm size, annual income, farming information, agricultural training exposure and rice farming knowledge of the farmers’ had significant positive relationship but family subsistence pressure had significant negative relationship with their attitude towards the use of USG.   DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.3329/jbau.v9i2.10983 J. This study is an investigation of potential relationships between ethical judgments and both personal demographic and situational variables among a national sample of 602 managers. A significant positive relationship was found between education and ethical judgments of a scenario about an unethical situation. As formal education increased, managers tended to view unethical situations more favorably. Also, a significant negative relationship between size of a firm and ethical judgments of employees was confirmed in a regression analysis. Conclusions and suggestions for research are presented.

This study examines the interplay between (a) job resources, (b) personal resources (organizational-based self-esteem, self-efficacy), and personality traits (conscientiousness, extraversion, and emotional stability), (c) a specific job demand (work–life imbalance), and (d) work engagement, in line with the alternative JD-R model proposed by Bakker (2011) . Data was collected from 223 Romanian employees. Results show that work–life imbalance (WLI) undermines the positive relationship between self-efficacy and work engagement. In a three-way Job resources × Personal resources × Job demands interaction, self-efficacy and job resources had a positive relationship with work engagement when work–life imbalance was low. Also, in a three-way Job resources × Personality × Job demands interaction, the association between emotional stability and job resources was positive when work–life imbalance was low.
