Recently there has been growing number of women running for national political positions. This study presents multimodal gender communicative-structures of female politicians. We analyzed 80 political interviews by all female politicians who ran for the 20th Knesset in Israel (n=40). The findings revealed novel integrated structures that combine masculine-verbal and feminine-nonverbal communicative-patterns. Unexpectedly, the adaptation of the mixed multimodal communicativestructure was strongly correlated with power, particularly in terms of seniority. In contemporary political communication, the inclusion of feminine-nonverbal communicative-patterns is a manifestation of political strength rather than of weakness. However, female politicians from cultural minorities express masculine-verbal and nonverbal communication-patterns, constituting the traditional communication-pattern of female politicians, which assumes that the key to female politicians’ success is adopting masculine communicative-structure.

Such a thing necessarily requires the proper way of communicating so that the communication process and communication goals can be achieved. The process of communication and how to communicate will shape its own communication pattern. The communication pattern that is able to convey the purpose of recitation Quran is interesting to be studied as seen in this research. The method of this research is using qualitative method through observation, interview and documentation. This method is believed to be able to dig deep data so that the research objectives can be achievedKeywords: Recitation Quran, local wisdom, communication patterns, pancasila, multicultural

Kata Kunci: Percaya diri, Komunikasi orangtuaABSTRACTThis research uses qualitative research based on postpositivism philosophy, data collection method using observation, documentation and interview. The technique of data validity uses triangulation. Data analysis techniques use the Spradley model (domain analysis, taxonomy, component, and cultural theme analysis). The focus of this study is the analysis of parenting communication patterns in building children's confidence. Communication needs is a very important need for the child's life. The child's first communication is with parents. The importance of communication is as important as the child's confidence. confident as a plant, if the confident child buds are treated, raised with love and love, then the buds will grow and develop. Based on research in POS PAUD Kartini from 25 samples obtained comparison of 72% of parents apply democratic communication pattern, 24% of parents apply permissive communication pattern and 28% of parents apply authoritarian communication pattern. Children who have confidence in accordance with the stage of development of age are parents who apply the pattern of democratic communication. parents who apply the permissive and authoritarian communication patterns confident the child still needs guidance.

This chapter describes Communicative Intelligence (CI) from a philosophical lens. The author explains its cognitive, emotional and actionable elements. CI is the deliberate and intentional deployment of verbal and nonverbal communication patterns in ways that aspire to develop relationships across and within cultures in the unpredictably dynamic arena of human interactions (see Zoller, 2008). Further, the author suggests that CI is a consciously mindful state where the deliberate application of verbal and nonverbal skills and moves are used to achieve an alignment between the intended message and the manner in which it is perceived to build rapport, model empathy, and impact trust. By using the strategies and ways of thinking found in CI, leaders can improve the quality of their relationships resulting in new possibilities and solutions to the issues facing organizations. Key areas of interest will be discussed including how CI can be used to impact cross-cultural collaboration and leadership.

Human-robot interaction requires communication, however what form this communication should take to facilitate effective team performance is still undetermined. One notion is that effective human-agent communications can be achieved by combining transparent information-sharing techniques with specific communication patterns. This study examines how transparency and a robot’s communication patterns interact to affect human performance in a human-robot teaming task. Participants’ performance in a target identification task was affected by the robot’s communication pattern. Participants missed identifying more targets when they worked with a bidirectionally communicating robot than when they were working with a unidirectionally communicating one. Furthermore, working with a bidirectionally communicating robot led to fewer correct identifications than working with a unidirectionally communicating robot, but only when the robot provided less transparency information. The implications these findings have for future robot interface designs are discussed.
