The Regional Head Election campaign frequently uses electronic Word of Mouth (eWOM) communication because of social media's growth and the Covid-19 pandemic that took place during the election year. In commercial brands, eWOM impact has influence brand equity and purchase decisions. However, in political brands, this has not been proven. Therefore, by using the regional head candidate of Purbalingga Regency as a political brand, this study examines the effect of eWOM on developing candidate brand equity and relates it to voting intention. Brand equity using a brand pyramid model with brand equity forming variables consisting of a candidate brand awareness, a candidate brand performance-imagery, a candidate brand judgment-feelings, and a candidate brand resonance. The study involved 260 respondents who are people of Purbalingga Regency who may vote and use social media. The sampling method used was purposive sampling by conducting direct interviews with respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM PLS) analysis. The results showed that electronic Word of Mouth has a positive and significant effect on brand equity development variables. Developing brand equity affects the voting intention on candidate brand awareness and candidate brand resonance. The Result of this study found electronic Word of Mouth to have no direct influence on voting intention.

Purpose The study aims to determine the impact of non-Muslim tourists’ perception of halal tourism products and services (PHTPS) on trip quality, trip value, satisfaction and word of mouth (WOM) towards halal tourism destination. Design/methodology/approach A total of 375 non-Muslim tourists were surveyed in Malaysia using partial least square technique. Findings The findings showed that PHTPS has a significant impact on all four dimensions. The strongest relationship was found between PHTPS and trip quality, followed by PHTPS–WOM, PHTPS–satisfaction and PHTPS–trip value. Originality/value This study provides new insights into the theory and practice of non-Muslim tourists’ PHTPS and WOM towards halal tourism destination. The findings are valuable to tourism operators, managers and marketers with the understanding and responsibility to develop halal tourism products and services from non-Muslim tourists’ insights.

The sampling technique in research uses non-probability sampling method with convenience sampling technique. This study used a total sample of 100 people service users of the e-commerce marketplace companies Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada, and Bukalapak. Processed using SEM-PLS. Based on the research results, the elements of brand equity and electronic word of mouth have a positive influence on consumer satisfaction. In the Tokopedia and Shopee brands, there is one element of brand equity that has no effect, namely brand association and brand awareness. Lazada, one element that affects satisfaction, Bukalapak has a positive effect on satisfaction, namely electronic word of mouth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the mediating role of electronic word of mouth in the relationship between tourism products and service quality on the decision to visit tourists to Pangandaran Beach. This research is explanatory research, and the data collection is done by distributing questionnaires. The sample in this study amounted to 95 visitors to Pangandaran beach, who were selected using the purposive sampling method. Based on the analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach, the results indicate that service quality and tourism products have a significant positive effect on visiting decisions. However, electronic word of mouth does not mediate the relationship between service quality and tourism products on tourists visiting decisions.

The main objective of this study is to investigate the factors affect customer satisfaction level among Shopee customers in Malaysia. A set of self-administered questionnaires has been distributed to 200 targeted Shopee users in three states of Malaysia which are Johor, Melaka and Selangor. The five independent variables, which are price, trust, electronic word of mouth, website quality and security have been tested on their relationship towards the dependent variable, which is consumer satisfaction towards online shopping platform, Shopee in Malaysia. The collected data were keyed into SPSS version 25 and followed by using Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM 3.2.8) to assess the hypothesis. The result of this research given the feedbacks where trust, electronic word of mouth and website quality have significant effect towards consumers satisfaction on Shopee in Malaysia. However, price and security does not show a significant relationship with Shopee’s consumer satisfaction. It has been acknowledged that tourism is a dynamic sector which is staying at a big competition globally. More countries around the world are competing to develop the tourism potential to be well-known. Asian Pasific region has high commitment to win the global tourism competition, proved by the average calculation of tourist visits, which is dominated by Asian Pasific than other regions. Malaysia is the only country in South East Asian which counted in The World’s Top Destination. It has many tourism destinations. One of them is Langkawi Island that is a well-known and popular tourism destination which successfully achieved a lot of awards. The visit growth in Langkawi Island has instability, and the most decreasing growth appeared in 2007 to 2009 amount of 1, 3% and followed by 2, 5% from 2009 to 2010. The decrease was caused by the lower visit intention of tourist or to be called as future behavioral intention. Visit decision is motivated by push and pull factors, which come from the internal of tourist as well as the external factors of tourism destination. The strategy by Langkawi Island authority to increase the visit decision is by implementing electronic word of mouth (EWOM) which shared through social media. EWOM consists of tie strength, homophile, trust, normative influence and informative influence. This research used descriptive and verified method. The respondents are tourists of Langkawi Island with the number of sample 100 tourists. This research is using Partial Least Square (PLS) analyzing technique. Independent variable is electronic word of mouth with its dimensions are tie strength (X1), homophile (X2), trust (X3), normative influence (X4), and informative influence (X5). Furthermore, the tourist visit decision is the dependent variable (Y). The result shows that EWOM factors are placed in high category whereas it has a weak positive impact upon the tourist's visit decision in Langkawi Island, Malaysia. PLS result shows that the dominant factors of EWOM are homophile and normative influence. Meanwhile, the impact of EWOM to the tourist visit decision is 0,284 and the residue by other factors, which is not studied for this research.
