The development of the STEAM-approach is one of the main trends in global education. It integrates Sciences (S), Тechnology (T), Engineering (E), Arts (A), and Mathematics (M). Future Specialists need comprehensive training in the exact Sciences, Biology, Engineering, and Design – and this future is being prepared today. STEAM education is introduced in Western schools from an early age. The most important theoretical position of this approach is the statement that a student who knows the artistic beginnings of life (literature, painting, music, art design), achieves more in mathematics, and in engineering, and in Sciences. STEAM-literature curriculum is also based on an interdisciplinary and applied approach. The purpose of a lesson on the analysis of a literary text, as a rule, is associated with the creation of a material object (model) by students, in which their knowledge of all the listed disciplines is comprehensively invested. The main tool for interpreting a literary text in this approach is design. Not just design tasks are solved in the classroom with its help – design is one of the basic forms of modern visual art. The main question, which the author of the article faces, is whether it is possible to implement such the technologies at school without losses for the studied work of art. The analysis of western models leads to the conclusion that the significance of literature, as an independent subject, changes within the STEAM-approach – part of its autonomy is delegated to other disciplines. At the same time, a new, unexpected configuration of subjects appears in the classroom: literature is now integrated with biology, design, and mathematics. Thus, the interdisciplinary basis of STEAM takes the teaching of literature to a new interdisciplinary level. At the same time, it raises some questions about the degree of presence of the literary text itself in this approach, and the laws of its creation and the depth of its interpretation by students.

The article deals with the Western concept of STEAM education which is based on a certain "poly-subject" which includes Science (S), Technology (T), Engineering (E), Arts (A), and Mathematics (M). The practice of this educational approach is focused on the following idea: a student who is familiar with the artistic principles of life (literature, art, music, design) will achieve more in Mathematics, Invention and Natural Sciences. STEAM eliminates the continuous dispute between "physicists" and "lyricists" because within its framework, a lyricist can be talented in engineering (invention) and a physicist can be talented in aesthetic, artistic manifestations such as design. The analysis of Western STEAM models of studying literary text poses questions about the trajectories of modern literary education which is transforming in a sense. An educational STEAM product in the analysis of a literary text is oriented primarily towards the designer solution as the manifestation of the students' creative potential. Ultimately, Western studies present the STEAM approach as a humancentric (not subject-centric) model: the approach prioritizes the student's personality and individuality. STEAM education is a new integrative educational system that integrates the scientific and the imaginative, the documental and the aesthetic, the artistic and the rational principles.

Contemporary organizations have directed their attention and focus on the role of the skills that their administrative leaders have in order to apply them to the areas of the organization and in a way that serves its objectives, represents the goal of the study to diagnose the personal characteristics of the soft skills in the researched health organization. Hence, the study problem arises with the main question which is: Do the respondents of the study sample regarding soft skills differ according to the personal or demographic characteristics of the researched organization? For the purpose of achieving the objectives of the study and answering its questions, the descriptive analytical approach was used, and the study adopted the questionnaire as a main tool for collecting data. The study was taken from the Diyala Health Department as a community, as (180) questionnaires were distributed to the administrative leaders working in Diyala Health Department, and (160) questionnaires were retrieved from them, and after data collection and statistical treatment, the study reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which are. There is agreement between the opinions of the sample members about soft skills with a high degree of evaluation from the point of view of the administrative leaders in the Diyala Health Department. One of the most prominent recommendations was to improve and develop communication processes between workers in the researched health organization.

Education in the early years is an excellent space for promoting integrated learning. The STEAM education model combines Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics holistically and has gained force globally, mostly in developed countries. However, in developing countries of Latin America, STEAM education programs are incipient and still unfamiliar to many early childhood and primary school educators. "Pequeños Científicos" is a pioneer educational program in Chile aimed at providing extracurricular academic enrichment to students 3 to 10 years old, with a gender-empowering approach. With a cross-sectional design and integrating data from students, researchers and educators, this article documents program design and implementation issues based on a partial application of SWOT analysis grounded on strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. The strengths were the strongest elements that might be transferred to similar interventions, for instance, students were positively engaged in the learning processes and actively communicating their advances through diverse artistic formats. The weaknesses were mainly difficulties that can be avoided in future replication, such as teachers' management of children's behavior. Opportunities present alternatives to these types of programs to improve and grow; for example, through articulation of the courses and including children with additional needs. We call for tackling the weaknesses for more efficient application and discuss the promotion of STEAM learning in the early years in the contexts of high educational inequality for future replication in diverse contexts.

‘Language’ is given a comprehensive sense in this book. Many of the chapters are not ‘linguistic’ in any formal sense, but are about the skill (or otherwise) of writers in expressing themselves. They are thus about style, the study of which can be seen as a branch of literary criticism. There are various objections that can be made to the notion (implicit in Bernhard’s statement) that the inclusion of ‘poeticisms’ in prose was an imperial development and represented a debasement of the literary language. The diversity of extant prose is a major theme of this book. Examples of early long sentences are also presented. Bad writing may show up clearly in a translation. This writing may be determined in a non-literary text written by someone who had not had a literary education and might not even have been a native speaker of Latin. Archaism emerges as a generic label rather than a unified category. The chapter then discusses the translation from Greek. Aspects of high-style Latin prose, namely neologism, archaism, Greek loanword, and poeticism, are described.

Globally, computational thinking and coding in schools has become more popular as well as a growing area of interest in education reform. Coupling coding with creative thinking promises to meaningfully engage students in their learning and to improve their coding and computational thinking skills. This prompts discussions about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), which promotes creativity and innovation through the integration of the arts in STEM subjects. This study addresses the following question: What mathematics and computational thinking do students learn through different models of STEAM education in non-profit and in-school contexts? A small sample was taken of four different STEAM programs in Ontario, Canada. We carried out a qualitative case study with 103 participants, 19 adults and 84 students. The findings from this study have implications for designing, implementing and researching K-8 STEAM programs that promote coding and computational thinking skills in the context of learning mathematics.

In science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) education, artificial intelligence (AI) analytics are useful as educational scaffolds to educe (draw out) the students’ AI-Thinking skills in the form of AI-assisted human-centric reasoning for the development of knowledge and competencies. This paper demonstrates how STEAM learners, rather than computer scientists, can use AI to predictively simulate how concrete mixture inputs might affect the output of compressive strength under different conditions (e.g., lack of water and/or cement, or different concrete compressive strengths required for art creations). To help STEAM learners envision how AI can assist them in human-centric reasoning, two AI-based approaches will be illustrated: first, a Naïve Bayes approach for supervised machine-learning of the dataset, which assumes no direct relations between the mixture components; and second, a semi-supervised Bayesian approach to machine-learn the same dataset for possible relations between the mixture components. These AI-based approaches enable controlled experiments to be conducted in-silico, where selected parameters could be held constant, while others could be changed to simulate hypothetical “what-if” scenarios. In applying AI to think discursively, AI-Thinking can be educed from the STEAM learners, thereby improving their AI literacy, which in turn enables them to ask better questions to solve problems.

The online world offers a huge number of opportunities and variety of information sources, which differ significantly from each other. To high extent the online world is the place, where youth spend most of their time. In such situation the creative and critical thinking are essential to help youth integrate and develop their individuality in the digital world. Furthermore, the interdisciplinary nature of digital art serves to develop creativity and critical thinking. In this way, they create new knowledge, which forms the necessary qualities for faster socialization in the virtual society. Thus, digital art merges with STEAM education, where science and art are integrated, namely Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The purpose of the current study is to identify the possible impact of STEAM education on the formation of the creative and critical thinking among young people. The authors use various methods such as analysis of the content, historical and comparative approach. The results show that the digital art and STEAM education can give the youth knowledge about how the technology is created and then express themselves through the art, which leads us to the conclusion that the indeed can support the creative and critical thinking.

The anthropomorphic depiction of animals bearing allegorical meanings is the well-represented and actively demanded bestiary of world literature. It reflects the mythological thinking of writers and is an integral part of the worldview basis on which literary works are based. Bestiary images in the artistic text acquire the status of universal representative symbols. This study discusses bestiary images in novelistic works of Austrian writers, Franz Werfel (1890-1945) and Elias Canetti (1905-1994). Using the semiotic approach, the researchers define a range of images and meanings that are related to these two writers as representatives of the era of historical upheavals and individual authorial purposes that reflect the basis of the worldview of each of them. A bestiary image in a literary text can function as an iconic sign, which, on the one hand, reflects the material object in its materiality, and on the other hand, contributes to the emerging of "new", constructed by analogy, aesthetic reality. The similarity to the referent, in this case, is included in the overall system of ontological values. An iconic sign, after Ch.S. Pierce, refers to a simple sign based on the similarity to a thing and participating in the creation of symptoms of a higher order – symbols. Bestiary images in a literary text acquire the status of universal representative characters. The functioning of animal images in the text, their nomination, combinatorics, communication with the elements, time periods, and behavioural patterns are the way of the study of the philosophical foundations of the author's world picture. Canetti’s bestiary is represented by metaphorical images of a monkey, a cat, a pig, and a tortoise, which are used as a tool for analysing various psychic and psychological states of the characters of the novel "Blinding" (Die Blendung, 1931-1932). Multiple forms of anthropopathy and zoomorphism are based on the writer's attitude towards the initial "equality" of man and animal. The study of zoopoetics (the term of J. Lacan) of Werfel’s novel "Barbara, or Piety" (Barbara oder die Frömigkeit, 1929) helps to reveal the axiological foundation upon which the writer constructs his novels. The functioning of images of animals, a horse, for example, is related to the semantics of sacrifice that is rethought and acquiring new meanings in a new historical context. Composite images connecting different characteristics and associated with various natural elements are important. It is apparent that the study of the works by Werfel and Canetti, given the iconic nature of bestiary images, seems relevant to detect common patterns of development of European literature and culture of the first third of the 20th Century.

What is Cultural Transformation Theory? What is design, and design thinking? How do these topics connect with concepts of culture and material culture? How are domination and partnership as paradigms of cultural transformation expressed in design? How can design and partnership work together to achieve a partnership society, and what actions does this suggest for the future? This article addresses these questions, identifies key elements of Cultural Transformation Theory, and introduces the concepts of design and design thinking and the aspects of design as product and process. Definitions of culture and material culture that reveal a disconnect with design are discussed. This article makes the case that design and culture are reciprocally connected, and uses specific cross-cultural examples of domination and partnership as manifested in design disciplines of architecture. Current ways in which the emerging field of design thinking incorporates a partnership approach are also discussed. Finally, the article suggests ways in which cultural transformation and design can work synergistically, evolving cultures toward a partnership future while creating design expressions of such a culture. STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) education is currently gaining ground in many parts of the world, particularly in higher stages of the educational system. Foreseeing a development of STEAM policy and research also in the early years, this colloquium seeks to bring questions of gendering processes to the table. The authors aspire to prevent the development of a gender-blind STEAM discourse for early childhood education. Instead, they encourage practitioners and researchers to make use of STEAM education to recognise and transcend gendered norms connected to children’s being and learning in the arts, STEM and STEAM.
