The article aims at the comprehensive analysis of the phraseological level of the Njegos’ poem Stephen the Little. The idioms of the poems have been organized into eight phraseological genres, based on the author's classification already applied to the text of The Mountain Wreath. The author has illustrated each genre with the appropriate examples, as well as their syntactic, semantic, and stylistic features. The high frequency and stylistic diversity of the phraseology of the poem prove the importance of researching its phraseological units in the overall assessment of the poet's idiolect and idio style. This paper, also, highlights the importance of researching the phraseology of Njegos’ works for the study of the overall phraseology of the Serbian language in its diachrony and synchrony, bearing in mind the high share of dialectal and archaic idioms. Moreover, some attested idioms present evidence of old ethnocultural concepts that have been verbalized and preserved in the language of the era, so their reconstruction is valuable for other humanities, as well. The author emphasizes the importance of studying Njegos' phraseology in the Slavic context on the examples of the reconstruction of the meaning of certain archaic idioms.

According to the results of a comprehensive analysis, it was found that the nuclear safety monitoring system (NSMS) does not fully comply with the requirements put forward to it. By assessing the sufficiency of the detection points of this monitoring system, it was found that there is no monitoring at the cluster of nuclear fissile materials (NFM) in the central hall and at the “northern” cluster in 305/2 rooms. The effectiveness of monitoring the “southern” cluster of NFM in the room. 305/2 is insufficient and does not comply with the standards regulated by the rules of nuclear safety. Also, a number of other requirements to the NSMS (as the emergency alarm systems of the spent nuclear waste storage facility) are not fulfilled. It is proposed to re-arrange the measuring channels (MC) of the system, decommission excess (non-informative) MC and use their equipment to organize new effective monitoring points; to upgrade the software and arrange individual ground of the system to reduce the influence of high-frequency interference.

Abstract This work presents a novel ultra-high frequency (UHF) Lamb mode Aluminum Nitride (AlN) piezoelectric resonator with enhanced quality factors (Q). With slots introduced in the vicinity of the tether support end, the elastic waves leaking from the tether sidewalls can be reflected, which effectively reduces the anchor loss while retaining size compactness and mechanical robustness. Comprehensive analysis was carried out to provide helpful guidance for obtaining optimal slot designs. For various resonators with frequencies ranging from 630 MHz to 1.97 GHz, promising Q enhancements up to 2 times have all been achieved. The 1.97 GHz resonator implemented excellent f × Q product up to 6.72 × 1012 and low motional resistance down to 340 Ω, which is one of the highest performances among the reported devices. The devices with enhanced Q values as well as compact size could have potential application in advanced RF front end transceivers.

IntroductionNICE is undergoing transformational change aiming to improve consistency across the different types of guidance and to bring together related guidance in a more accessible way (NICE Connect). Currently, NICE publishes myriad guidance with different language and formats, which may lead to stakeholder confusion and gaps in the provision of information. Here, the consistency of the format and language of a subset of NICE guidance was assessed to understand where and how guidance could be better aligned. This preliminary investigation is important to determine the extent of inconsistencies and whether a more detailed analysis is warranted.MethodsTen randomly selected pieces of guidance published (or updated) April 2018 – March 2019 from three programs were assessed (two pieces of guidance or ten percent of guidance per program, whichever was greatest): Medical Technologies (n = 2); Diagnostics (n = 2); Technology Appraisals (n = 6). Guidance was assessed on aspects listed on the guidance webpage (for example, summary type, additional sections, links to other resources, format) and the guidance pdf (for example, table of contents and language). Observed data and trends are described.ResultsThe webpage summary and additional sections were consistent within and between programs. Additional information on the webpages showed themes which are not currently standardized (for example, guidance history). In the table of contents only one section was consistently included in all guidance, and the terminology was not consistent across different types of guidance. The format used to present evidence differed between programs (webpage tab or within the pdf), as did terminology for the external assessment groups.ConclusionsThese descriptive data highlight inter- and intra-program inconsistencies in the content and format of NICE guidance, especially in the guidance table of contents and the format and language regarding the provision of evidence. These inconsistencies contribute to the inaccessibility of NICE guidance, making it potentially difficult for patients and professionals to understand guidance, conditions and treatments as a whole.A more comprehensive analysis is warranted to extend and validate these conclusions. Future research of this kind could constructively direct the resources and priorities of NICE transformational projects, and could lead to an improvement in the accessibility of NICE Guidance.

AbstractCurrent scientific consensus holds that sound is transmitted, solely mechanically, from the tympanum to the cochlea via ossicles. But this theory does not explain the hearing extreme quality regarding high frequencies in mammals. So, we propose a bioelectronic pathway (the covert path) that is complementary to the overt path.We demonstrate experimentally that the tympanum produces piezoelectric potentials isochronous to acoustic vibrations thanks to its collagen fibers and that their amplitude increases along with the frequency and level of the vibrations. This finding supports the existence of an electrical pathway, specialized in transmitting high-frequency sounds, that works in unison with the mechanical pathway. A bio-organic triode, similar to a field effect transistor, is the key mechanism of our hypothesized pathway. We present evidence that any deficiency along this pathway produces hearing impairment. By augmenting the classical theory of sound transmission, our discovery offers new perspectives for research into both normal and pathological audition and may contribute to an understanding of genetic and physiological problems of hearing.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to provide a descriptive comprehensive analysis of sustainability reporting (SR) and assurance in Portugal after the onset of the most recent economic crisis. Design/methodology/approach – The authors analyze 290 sustainability reports for the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, and find those that include assurance statements and characterize them. Findings – The authors present evidence supporting the view that the Portuguese sustainability reporting assurance (SRA) market follows the international trends and suggest that the most recent economic crisis had a negative effect in terms of publication of sustainability reports but not in terms of its quality and assurance. Research limitations/implications – The authors merely provide descriptive evidence of SR and the assurance thereof in Portugal. Originality/value – The authors contribute significantly to the literature on SRA in peripheral countries and in the period of crisis.

We analyse the timescales of conflict decision-making in a primate society. We present evidence for multiple, periodic timescales associated with social decision-making and behavioural patterns. We demonstrate the existence of periodicities that are not directly coupled to environmental cycles or known ultraridian mechanisms. Among specific biological and socially defined demographic classes, periodicities span timescales between hours and days. Our results indicate that these periodicities are not driven by exogenous or internal regularities but are instead driven by strategic responses to social interaction patterns. Analyses also reveal that a class of individuals, playing a critical functional role, policing, have a signature timescale of the order of 1 h. We propose a classification of behavioural timescales analogous to those of the nervous system, with high frequency, or α -scale, behaviour occurring on hour-long scales, through to multi-hour, or β -scale, behaviour, and, finally γ periodicities observed on a timescale of days.
