Expressions of facial expressions in addition to providing important emotional indicators, are very important objects in our daily lives too. Real-time video processing on mobile devices is a hot topic and has a very broad application. Photos that have used the filter have 21% more possibilities to be seen and 45% more likely to be commented on by photo consumers. The use of the Fisher-Yates algorithm is used as a filter scrambler for each facial expression emotion. The application is made for the iOS operating system with the Swift programming language that utilizes the Core ML and Vision framework. Custom Vision is used as a tool for creating and training models. In making a model, this study uses a dataset from Cohn-Kanade AU-Coded Facial Expression Database and Karolinska Directed Emotional Faces. Custom Vision can provide performance result training and provide precision and recall values for data that has been trained. The facial expression match with the model is determined by the confidence level value. The results of trials with Hedonic Motivation System Adoption Model method produce a percentage of pleasure in using the application (joy) of 79.39%  of the users agree that the application provides joy.

AbstractThe set of 30 stimulating commentaries on our target article helps to define the areas of our initial position that should be reiterated or else made clearer and, more importantly, the ways in which moderators of and extensions to the SIMS can be imagined. In our response, we divide the areas of discussion into (1) a clarification of our meaning of “functional,” (2) a consideration of our proposed categories of smiles, (3) a reminder about the role of top-down processes in the interpretation of smile meaning in SIMS, (4) an evaluation of the role of eye contact in the interpretation of facial expression of emotion, and (5) an assessment of the possible moderators of the core SIMS model. We end with an appreciation of the proposed extensions to the model, and note that the future of research on the problem of the smile appears to us to be assured.

ABSTRACT Objective: to understand the contributions of the National Program of Reorientation of Professional Training in Health (Pró-Saúde) for the change in the model of care and training of health professionals. Methods: a case study with representatives of the teaching, care, management and social control, participants of the management units of the Pró-Saúde (Charitable institution for social and hospital assistance), in a municipality of the south of Brazil. Data collection took place through interviews and observations between October 2012 and February 2013. Results: the Program acts as a device for the transition of health care and training models, by promoting the problematization of daily work and the approximation between teaching and service. Emphasis is placed on the importance of the subjects’ commitment and the different perspectives on the community. Conclusion: Pró-Saúde leaves visible marks in the process of qualifying students and professionals, as well as promoting collaborative action in the fields of management, care, teaching and social control in the SUS (Brazilian Unified Health System).

Hand and face gestures enable deaf people to communicate in their daily lives rather than speaking. This paper describes a hidden Markov model (HMM)-based framework for face sign recognition and detection. The observation vectors used to characterize the states of the HMM are obtained using the best tree local gradient pattern (LGP) encoded features. Each face gesture is modeled as a five-state HMM. The problem of facial expression classification is posed as a composite seven-classes multi-hypothesis Bayesian test. The likelihood ratio test showed that the overall recognition rate for the proposed model is higher than the HMM-local binary pattern descriptor by 6.4%. The overall recognition rate is enhanced by 8.6% using the discrete wavelet packet best tree decomposition filter as a pre-processing noise removal tool. In addition, the overall recognition rate ranges from 84.3%, for the seven classes Bayesian test, to 100%, for lower number of classes depending upon the type of the face gesture. The proposed face expression algorithm reduces significantly the computational complexity of previous HMM-based face expression recognition systems, and still preserve the recognition rate.

Despite the fact that listening is at the core of teaching, pedagogical literature has paid very little attention to listening. In this paper, we echo this absence of research and try to explore some of listening’s pedagogical and training possibilities. We move away from the kind of listening that underlies relationships of power, trying to find a pattern of listening in which our presence becomes important and related research activity is seen as a transformational experience. We address these matters on the basis of some learning experiences arising from a recent study in which we analyzed, by means of a narrative methodology, the experiences of academic failure of three adolescents. The article concludes with proposals of some principles which served as the basis and guidelines for our conduct in the course of the study, and which are an example of our concept of listening for educational research.

Humans are becoming increasingly reliant on interconnected technologies to go about their daily lives in the personal and professional spheres. From finding romance, to conducting businesses entirely online, receiving health services, shopping, banking, and gaming, the Internet and World Wide Web open up a world of possibilities to people across the globe. Understanding the psychological processes underlying and influencing the thinking, interpretation, and behavior associated with this online interconnectivity is the core premise of Cyberpsychology. This book explores a wide range of cyberpsychological processes and activities through the research and writings of some of the world’s leading cyberpsychology experts. The book covers a broad range of topics spanning the key areas of research interest in this emerging field of enquiry and will be of interest to those who have only recently discovered the discipline as well as more seasoned cyberpsychology researchers and teachers. The book contains eight sections, and includes contributions spanning the breadth of current academic and public interest. Topics include: online research methods, self-presentation and impression management, technology across the lifespan, interaction and interactivity, online groups and communities, social media, health and technology, video gaming, and cybercrime and cybersecurity.

Donalson Silalah, Basically, the government and local governments have made the development of government officers through a program of education and training. Providing education and training is less efficient and effective manner due to the relative unavailability of assessment guidelines and evaluation of education and training. Therefore, this paper aims to build a model of assessment and evaluation of education and training. Models are constructed focused on education and training participant, lecturer, curriculum, organizers and the participants after they return to duty at their respective workplaces. Model assessment and evaluation of education and training builds upon the indicators of each aspect. Indicators that are used can be adjusted as needed. Based on the models constructed can be known what the obstacles to the implementation of education and training. Based on the constraints that are found to be a solution in the subsequent implementation of education and training.
