Isolation and Identification of Endofit Fungus in Taro Tubers (Colocasia esculenta (L.) Schoot)Endophytic fungi are fungi the living and associated in plant tissue. Association the endophytic and host are mutualism. The ability of endophytic producing a secondary compound is an opportunity to be developed. The aims of this research is isolate and identify the types of endophytic fungi in tubers of taro. The methode used microscopis and macroscopis idetify. The result types of endophytic fungi in tubers of taro are Aspergillus, Sclerotium, Fusarium, Mucor and Rhizopus.

Phylloplane biodiversity and endophytic fungi is considered one of the rich origins of novel biological activity compounds and high-level structural variation on the leaf surface. Plant leaves surface is a diverse terrestrial ecosystem, including filamentous fungi. This study aims to study the isolation and enumeration of Sapindus mukorossi phylloplane and endophytic fungal diversity. The Sapindus mukorossi isolated 14 fungal species from 9 genera of phylloplane and endophytic fungi. Cladosporium herbarum, Penicillium expansum, Fusarium oxysporum, Fusarium sp., Alternaria alternate, Collectotrichum orbiculare, Torulla herbarium, Epicoccum nigrum and Candida sp. as a phylloplane fungi. Aspergillus niger, A. flavus, Epicoccum nigrum. Penicillum digitatum, Penicillum sp. were identified as endophytic fungi.

The main objectives of this research were to isolat and identify endophytic fungi antagonists of Candida albicnas from galanga rhizomes. Samples of galanga rhizome were collected from Gitgit plantation in Gitgit village, Buleleng regency. Isolation and identification were conducted in Food Microbiology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University. There were three isolates identified with inhibitory persentage againts Candida albicans i.e. Trichoderma viridae (26.07±3.76%), Trichoderma harzianum (45.11±5.84%) and Fusarium oxyforum (20.11±5.61%).

Abstract Endophytes are organisms that live within the plant tissue without usually causing any symptoms. In plants of natural ecosystems, endophytic fungi are in fact ubiquitous. This review summarizes research carried out on their biology emphasizing their functionality in terms of the host range, the colonization extent, the way of transmission between hosts and their influence on host fitness. The main focus will be on two classes of fungal endophytes, class 2 and 4 (Dark Septate Fungi), due to their potential for practical application in forestry. Raising awareness of the potential of endophytes to enhance the host’s resistance to pathogens, insects and anthropogenic disturbances is a key factor in developing applications for forest management.

Endophytes are microorganisms that live asymptomatically inside plant tissues. They are beneficial to their host in many aspects, especially as a defense against foreign phytopathogens through the production of a variety of metabolites. These substances can serve as sources of new natural products for medicinal, agricultural, and industrial purposes. This article is focused on endophytic fungi from Vitis vinifera. The purpose of the research was their isolation and identification during the Vitis vinifera growing season. Subsequently, the isolates were tested for the production of biotechnologically interesting metabolites (siderophores, antioxidants, and antifungal compounds). In total, 24 endophytic fungi were isolated, the most represented genus was Cladosporium sp. The results of the test for antioxidant and antifungal properties, as well as siderophore production, have shown that the population of Vitis vinifera endophytic microscopic fungi could serve as a promising source of metabolites with a wide range of applications.

Abstract Endophytic fungi are recognised for producing secondary metabolites that have an effect on the host, such as promoting growth and enhancing plant resilience to biotic and abiotic stress. The objective of this study was to explore endophytic fungi from Citrus reticulata. The endophytic fungi were isolated from both healthy and infected roots, stems, and twigs of C. reticulata. The materials were sterilised and inoculated on potato dextrose agar (PDA) media. The fungi grown were transferred onto fresh PDA plates and identified based on their morphological characteristic, including colonial features, hyphae type, and reproduction structure. Five endophytic fungi were identified as Colletotrichum sp. AJSH2-1, Cylindrocladium sp. BJSH1-2, Rhizopus sp. RJSH1-1, Mucor sp. RJSH1-2, and Aspergillus sp. BJSH1-1. Further study is required to understand the ability of the identified genera in protecting the host from plant disease as well as promoting growth.

Fiber of Urena lobata L. (Caesar weed or Malva) has been produced from plants cultivated in floodplain areas of Brazilian Amazonas state since 1970s. Plants must be harvested before flooding and because of such a short cultivation season plants never reach fructification. Thus, local farmers depend on acquiring seeds collected in areas of spontaneous occurrence in drylands to sow their crop fields each year. This scenario might change, as this species is gaining socioeconomic important and there is interest in the development of cropping systems for seed production on a commercial scale. The objective of this study was to investigate the occurrence of endophytic fungi in U. lobata, evaluating the influence of the plant organ (leaf and seed) and farming site (two experimental fields of seed production: Manaus and Anori municipalities), once endophytic interaction can be beneficial or become harmful to the plants. The frequency and degree of colonization, Shannon-Weaver and Simpson diversity and Pielou uniformity indexes and the dominance component curve were calculated. The occurring genus were: Phomopsis, Colletotrichum, Fusarium, Pestalotiopsis, Curvularia and Cochliobolus. The greatest diversity and richness of fungi was found in Manaus site with high colonization present in the leaves. The genus Curvularia and Fusarium presented preference for seeds while Colletotrichum was more frequent in leaves. The similarity was greater between plant organs than between the farming sites, which indicates that the coevolution of these fungi and its host has resulted in a balanced mutual or antagonistic interaction (Crane & Acuna, 1945; Souza, 2012).
