Abstract - The development of technology and information is increasingly advanced, making available computer-based technology can be applied in the world of education. The use of computer technology is used for learning media or learning resources. In fact, many learning resources are circulating online in the form of e-learning to facilitate the delivery of learning materials, this material is packaged in an attractive manner in the delivery of learning materials, so this material is packaged attractively in an application that is educational for them. The purpose of this study was to make a variety of online learning for students using multimedia-based learning applications as a means to be faster in introducing mathematics to high school students to find out to what extent the use of Ispring-based multimedia can be used in learning the absolute value equality in Mathematics subjects. The writing method used is the method of observation and literature study as well as an alternative to online learning. The application used is Ispring. Hopefully using Ispring can improve the ability to learn Absolute Value Equations in mathematics lessons.

What is the meaning of absolute value? And why do we teach students how to solve absolute value equations? Absolute value is a concept introduced in first-year algebra and then reinforced in later courses. Various authors have suggested instructional methods for teaching absolute value to high school students (Wei 2005; Stallings-Roberts 1991; Friedlander and Hadas 1988), but here we focus on an investigation that will help students make meaning of the absolute value equation in the context of a practical situation. We connect absolute value to the concepts of rate, time, distance, and slope.

In the current era of IT advancement, innovation in the field of learning needs to be done. Besides improving the quality of learning, the use of IT in education can increase student interest in the subjects. This research is the analysis stage of developing Geography e-learning for Senior High School in Sragen Regency using ADDIE model. Data collection was done by interview using questionnaires toward 20 teachers and 416 students in 11 public and private Senior High Schools in Sragen Regency.

The results of the analysis of geography teachers respons indicate that most of the geography teachers in Sragen regency were well-informed and had utilized IT in classroom learning, adding learning resources from the internet and other sources, willing to teach using e-learning, expecting e-learning material equipped with maps, imagery, video and animation which was developed. From the analysis of the students respons, students argued that most of the geography teachers in Sragen Regency had utilized the learning resources and learning media from the internet and use varied learning models. Nevertheless, there are 36% who think that geography lesson was boring and most students agreed to use e-learning for geography lesson. The main obstacle in e-learning lesson in Sragen regency was the availability of computer facilities and internet network, especially in private schools.

Keywords: e-learning, readiness, geography, Senior High School

The spreading of COVID-19 has forced many schools in the world to implement e-learning learning. The application of e-learning learning policies reaps the pros and cons of an Indonesian citizen. Junior high school students have their own opinions regarding the implementation of e-learning. Framed within a descriptive quantitative analysis, this study aimed at exploring the perceptions and expectations of junior high school students regarding the implementation of e-learning. A survey was conducted by distributing a questionnaire to Stella Maris junior high school students in East Nusa Tenggara province. One hundred forty-two students from grade seven and eight participated in the study. The survey data were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2016 and the Statistical Program for Social Sciences (SPSS) v.20. Before data analysis was carried out, the research instruments were examined using the Product Moment Pearson correlation to assess its validity and reliability. The test results indicated that the instrument used was sufficiently valid and reliable, with each indicator having a count-r > r-table (0.514). The results showed that a high percentage of students have willing to learn online. However, the availability of online learning instruments is a barrier to implementing online learning in their school. Students’ perception was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, namely percentage. Students’ responses were analyzed using the content analysis technique.

This study aims to develop a Three-tier Diagnostic Instrument on Chemical Equilibrium (TT-DICE) to diagnose high school students’ misconceptions related to this topic. TT-DICE consists of thirty items, asking for students’ answers, reasonings, and levels of confidence. Three-stages development models developed by Treagust applied in developing TT-DICE. First-stage was a literature study to analyze the main concepts and students’ misconceptions in CE. The next step is the development of the TT-DICE prototype, consisting of item development, preliminary experiments, interviews, and revisions. The third stage of validity checking starts with content validation by experts and practitioners. A field test conducted to determine the reliability and quality variables are supporting TT-DICE items. These variables are Item Validity (IV), Difficulty Level (DL), Discrimination Index (DI), and effectiveness of distractors. Content validity by validators showed that the TT-DICE is valid with a very high category (96.1%). The results of item validity show that 88.9% of the items are valid. Testing of DL, DI, and the effectiveness of distractors in general, shows a good category. The Reliability of the three-tiers TTDICE using Alpha Cronbach is a high and very high category, respectively (0.83, 0.81 & 0.91). The overall validity test results also concluded if the TT-DICE is valid, reliable, and suitable to diagnose misconceptions of Chemical Equilibrium.
