To establish the necessity of dividing fossil coals into vitrinitic and fusinitic varieties in order to identify the hazardous properties of coal seams during mining. Methodology. The study of changes in conditional indices in the general ranking series was carried out according to DSTU 25543-2013 separately for the classification indicators of vitrinite and fusinite coals, as well as coal groups not assigned to the considered varieties. Changes in indices in the ranks of classification indicators allow us to identify the distinctive or unifying features of the construction of these series and provide suggestions for improving the regulatory documents of mining operations. Outcome. The safety of mining in Ukrainian coal mines is regulated by a number of regulatory documents that are based on genetic classification indicators of coal. One of the decisive factors of dividing coals by technological properties is their classification as vitrinitic or fusinitic, which is not taken into account by the regulatory framework when establishing the hazardous properties of coal seams. The analysis of distinctive properties acquired in the process of metamorphic transformations between vitrinite and fusinite coals has been carried out. It is established that the correlation indices (R2) of the relationship between conditional indexes of Ro, Vdaf and у ranking series with the conditional indices of the general ranking series by brand of coal are practically the same. In terms of Ro, the values of R2 for vitrinitic and fusinite coals were 0,9114 and 0,9221, respectively. Similar results were obtained for the Vdaf indicator, according to which it is impossible to establish differences in the degree of metamorphic transformations between vitrinite and fusinite coals. The characterizing values of the у indicator do not make it possible to establish the direction of change in the properties of coal. The used values of this indicator have a large scatter in the compilation of coal ranking. Scientific novelty. The nature of change in the classification indicators of industrial classification of coal for identifying the hazardous properties of coal seams in mining operations has been identified. Practical relevance. The possibility of improving the regulatory framework for safe mining of coal seams by establishing differences in the properties of vitrinite and fusinite coals.

Purpose: to establish a possible correspondence between metamorphic processes with artificial thermal destruction of coals and their ashing in order to identify the components of mineral impurities that can affect the manifestation of the hazardous properties of coal mine seams. Methodology is based on a comparison of metamorphic processes that took place at a certain temperature mode in the bowels of the Earth and the production of artificial coals and their ashing. Results: The research made it possible to reveal the important role of mineral impurities in the formation of the hazardous properties of coal seams. This is due to both the significant possible content of mineral impurities in fossil coals, and the simultaneous presence of the main components that determine the hazardous properties of coal seams (carbon, hydrogen, sulfur, oxygen and moisture), both in the organic and in the mineral parts of fossil coals. To improve the regulatory framework for the safe conduct of mining operations, it is necessary to take into account features of the properties of fossil coals due to the presence of mineral impurities in them. In modern regulatory documents on the safe conduct of mining operations, in general, several indicators are used without proper scientific justification: the mass yield of volatiles during the thermal decomposition of coal, the volumetric yield of volatile substances, the thickness of the plastic layer and the logarithm of the electrical resistivity of anthracites. Their values are related to the dry ash-free mass of organic matter only. This excludes consideration of the influence of mineral impurities on the manifestation of the hazardous properties of coal mine seams during mining operations. In many cases, the content of moisture and sulfur is a criterion for the manifestation of hazardous properties of coal seams. They belong to the integral components of both organic and mineral constituents of fossil coals. The share of mineral impurities in the coals of individual coal seams can be more than 40%. The presence of oxygen, hydrogen, sulfur and moisture in mineral impurities significantly affects the manifestation of the hazardous properties of coal seams during mining. The content of mineral impurities in fossil coals in engineering calculations can be determined on the basis of the ash content of coals according to known empirical relationships, corrected for the content of total sulfur and, in some cases, carbon dioxide. Scientific novelty: the significant influence of mineral impurities in fossil coals on the manifestation of hazardous properties of coal seams during mining operations has been proved. Practical value: the results obtained allow substantiating the methodology for the combined use of the composition of organic and mineral components of fossil coals for a reliable forecast of the manifestation of hazardous properties of coal seams and improving the regulatory framework for their safe mining.

In the normative base of Ukraine for the safe mining of coal seams, only five indicators of the degree of metamorphism are used to predict the manifestation of their hazardous properties during mining operations: mass release of volatile substances during thermal decomposition of coal without air (Vdaf) access to characterize coal; volumetric yield of volatile substances daf V V to establish the distinctive properties of anthracites; logarithm of electrical resistivity (lg); the thickness of the plastic layer (y) and the grade of coal (M) for predicting the outburst hazard of seams. When developing regulatory documents, it was assumed that these criteria for assessing the degree of coal metamorphism remain constant within one mine field. Their values, as mining operations show, are influenced by the location of the coal sampling site in relation to the distance from relatively large geological disturbances or the boundaries of the gas weathering zone. In most cases, the boundaries of mine fields are usually relatively large geological faults. The proximity of the locations of coal sampling points to them influences the obtained results of evaluating the properties of mine layers. Аdjusting indicators (Vdaf, daf V V , lg, y ,M) for individual mines on the possible impact of geological disturbances, the depth of the mining robot and the distance from the zone of gas weathering, according to the requirements of regulatory documents. For this reason, it is of scientific and practical interest to establish the possible ranges of change in the indicators of the degree of metamorphism of coal within the same mine layer. The results of research in this direction are relevant, as they are necessary to improve the regulatory framework for the safe mining of coal mines. A possible change within a separate mine field was considered using the example of the indicator Vdaf as the most studied at present. According to a specially developed methodology, the analysis involved data on 2193 mines from different coal basins. Most of them belong to the mines of the Donetsk basin (1773). The rest of the basins account for information on 460 mine layers, including data on 46 mine layers for the Lvov-Volyn basin.

Rice is a world-famous cereal food divided into pigmented and non-pigmented rice. Pigmented rice is popular as healthier food than non-pigmented rice due to its potency as an antioxidant. Nevertheless, the potential of pigmented rice has not been widely studied. Indonesian selected pigmented rice protein’s antioxidant potential and the non-protein compound were in-vitro studied. The antioxidant potencies were evaluated by extracting fresh seeds of nine pigmented rice (Aek Sibundong, Beureum Taleus, Gogo Niti-2, Lamongan-1, Merah SP, Merah Wangi, Mota, Ketan Hitam-2, and Super Manggis) and non-pigmented rice (IR-64) as control. Various free radical scavenging methods to determine the antioxidant activity (ABTS•+, DPPH•, OH• and O2-) were conducted. Meanwhile, the genetic classification was performed by a simple sequence repeat (SSR) marker to determine the relationship between varieties. The results showed that protein of Ketan Hitam-2 had the highest ABTS•+ radical scavenging (98.06%), followed by Beureum Taleus (42.54%). Ketan Hitam-2 protein also showed the highest OH• and O2- activities (43.49% and 6.02%, respectively). The highest DPPH• potency of the non-protein compounds also shown by Ketan Hitam-2 (32.23%) with the activity of OH• and O2- (20.63% and 14.56%, respectively). These results showed that Ketan Hitam-2 has the highest potency as an antioxidant, which could be recommended as a nutraceuticals compound.

As to the scientific method,… it consist in the careful and often laborious classification of facts, in the comparison of their relationships and sequences, and finally in the discovery… of a brief statement or formula, which in a few words resumes the whole range of facts.Poor Pearson! His punishment was to have practised what he preached.…The Bantu expansion is one of the most important large-scale problems in African culture history -- an epic enacted over two or three thousand years and ten million square kilometers, by a cast not merely of thousands, but of many millions. By definition, the problem is primarily linguistic, but it cannot fail to engage the interest of other Africanists. The evidence arising from the comparative study of the Bantu languages has to be collated with evidence derived from other sources -- especially from archeology -- and extra-linguistic factors have to be invoked as soon as we raise the question of explanation. Bantu-speaking communities did not expand by virtue of the fact that they spoke Bantu: this at least we may safely take for granted.Until a few years ago, the argument revolved around the names of two linguists -- about as different in temperament and training as any two linguists could be -- who had both by chance turned their attention to Bantu in the late 1940s. An American linguist, Joseph H. Greenberg, working towards a genetic classification for all African languages, arrived at a controversial conclusion regarding the relationship between Bantu and the so-called “Semi-Bantu” languages of Nigeria.

Information on the International Genetic Classification of Noble Corundum is given. The scheme of location of the main deposits and occurrences of ruby-bearing complexes of the world is attached: 1 – magmatic; 2 – metamorphogenic; 3 – sedimentary (residual ancient crusts of chemical weathering, alluvial and dealluvial-alluvial placers). The location of ruby objects is shown, including the largest areas of depleted, currently operating and promising for the near future ruby deposits in 36 countries around the world. The main typological features of rubies are described. It is emphasized that all properties of rubies are determined by their primary indigenous origin. The typology of rubies is based on the principles of the relationship between magmatism and metamorphism in the formation of the groups under consideration. Hydroblasting and selective crushing methods for mining of corundum-bearing complexes are characterised. The trend towards increased research into the commercial exploitation of the primary sources of ruby-bearing complexes is highlighted. In countries with highly developed mining industries, underground mining is the main way to extract gemstones.

Soil fertility determines a plant's development process that guarantees food sufficiency and the security of lives and properties through bumper harvests. The fertility of soil varies according to regions, thereby determining the type of crops to be planted. However, there is no repository or any source of information about the fertility of the soil in any region in Nigeria especially the Northwest of the country. The only available information is soil samples with their attributes which gives little or no information to the average farmer. This has affected crop yield in all the regions, more particularly the Northwest region, thus resulting in lower food production.  Therefore, this study is aimed at classifying soil data based on their fertility in the Northwest region of Nigeria using R programming. Data were obtained from the department of soil science from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The data contain 400 soil samples containing 13 attributes. The relationship between soil attributes was observed based on the data. K-means clustering algorithm was employed in analyzing soil fertility clusters. Four clusters were identified with cluster 1 having the highest fertility, followed by 2 and the fertility decreases with an increasing number of clusters. The identification of the most fertile clusters will guide farmers on where best to concentrate on when planting their crops in order to improve productivity and crop yield.

Bronze drums are widely distributed, broader than the range of a nation. Therefore, the identification of each kind of drum is a basic subject, should be concerned. In determining the tribal identity of the drum, the classification of drum is the key stage, the relationship between the objective of the classification and classification criteria is the relation as shape and shadow, if there is no right criteria then the result of division will be difficult to reach the desired goal. Likewise, the criterion of the pattern on the bronze drum brought to the affirmation is the Dong Son bronze drum of the Lac Viet people. And the parallel is the affirmation of the culture, way of life, residence of the nation created the drum.

Responses of GH-secreting adenomas to multimodal management of acromegaly vary widely between patients. Understanding the behavioral patterns of GH-secreting adenomas by identifying factors predictive of their evolution is a research priority. The aim of this study was to clarify the relationship between the T2-weighted adenoma signal on diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in acromegaly and clinical and biological features at diagnosis. An international, multicenter, retrospective analysis was performed using a large population of 297 acromegalic patients recently diagnosed with available diagnostic MRI evaluations. The study was conducted at ten endocrine tertiary referral centers. Clinical and biochemical characteristics, and MRI signal findings were evaluated. T2-hypointense adenomas represented 52.9% of the series, were smaller than their T2-hyperintense and isointense counterparts (P<0.0001), were associated with higher IGF1 levels (P=0.0001), invaded the cavernous sinus less frequently (P=0.0002), and rarely caused optic chiasm compression (P<0.0001). Acromegalic men tended to be younger at diagnosis than women (P=0.067) and presented higher IGF1 values (P=0.01). Although in total, adenomas had a predominantly inferior extension in 45.8% of cases, in men this was more frequent (P<0.0001), whereas in women optic chiasm compression of macroadenomas occurred more often (P=0.0067). Most adenomas (45.1%) measured between 11 and 20 mm in maximal diameter and bigger adenomas were diagnosed at younger ages (P=0.0001). The T2-weighted signal differentiates GH-secreting adenomas into subgroups with particular behaviors. This raises the question of whether the T2-weighted signal could represent a factor in the classification of acromegalic patients in future studies.

Background:The Global Leadership Initiative on Malnutrition (GLIM) criteria, the first international criteria for diagnosis of malnutrition, was released in 2018 [1]. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) are thought to be prone to malnutrition due to decreased food intake and increased muscle catabolism caused by chronic inflammation or pain. However, there has been no report to assess the nutritional status of RA patients in accordance with the GLIM criteria. In addition, commonly used blood nutrient indicators such as albumin might not be appropriate as nutritional indicators for RA because these values are affected by inflammation. Objectives:This study aims to examine the rates of malnutrition in RA patients according to GLIM criteria, and the relationship between blood nutrient indicators and the severity of malnutrition. Methods:In this study, we conducted a cross-sectional survey of 135 female RA patients in 2020. According to the GLIM criteria, patients were considered to be malnourished if patients had one of the following phenotypic: (1) low body mass index, (2) non-volitional weight loss, (3) reduced muscle mass, and one of the following etiologic: (1) reduced food intake or assimilation, (2) disease burden/inflammatory condition. Reduced muscle mass was evaluated by measuring calf circumference, and inflammatory condition was evaluated by Disease Activity Score (DAS) 28. In accordance with the GLIM criteria, the severity of malnutrition was judged as three levels: no problem, moderate, and severe malnutrition. Albumin, transthyretin, transferrin, retinol binding protein, zinc, iron, ceruloplasmin, and total cholesterol were assessed as blood nutrition indicators. Also grip strength was assessed. We compared each nutritional indicator among the three groups according to the severity of malnutrition using age-adjusted analysis of covariance, and examined the relationship between each nutritional indicator and the severity of malnutrition using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis. Results:In RA patients, 20% were classified as severe malnutrition, and 40% were moderate or more. Serum iron levels were significantly lower in the severe malnutrition group compared to the no problem group (p = 0.001). In ROC analysis, serum iron, zinc, albumin, and grip strength (area under curve; AUC; 0.680, 0.696, 0.636, 0.790, respectively) were significant parameters for classification of moderate and severe malnutrition. Serum iron and grip strength (AUC for respective parameters were 0.741, 0.747) were significant parameters for classification of severe malnutrition. Conclusion:Evaluation based on the GLIM criteria showed that about 40% of RA patients were under moderate or severe malnutrition. It was suggested that serum iron and grip strength might be useful to predict the severity of malnutrition.References:[1]Cederholm T, Jensen GL, Correia MITD, Gonzalez MC, Fukushima R, Higashiguchi T, et al. The aim of the work is to find relevant indicators for assessing the relationship between investments in fixed assets in agriculture, gross output of the industry, and agricultural exports using tools for modeling the impact of innovation and investment development on increasing production and export potential in the context of the formation of an export-oriented agricultural economy. The modeling methodology and the proposed estimating and forecasting tools for diagnosing and monitoring the state of sectoral and regional innovative agricultural systems are used to analyze the relationship between investments in fixed assets in agriculture, gross output of the industry, and agricultural exports based on the construction of the classification of Russian regions by factors that aggregate these features to diagnose incongruence problems and to improve institutional management in regional innovative export-oriented agrosystems. Based on the results of the factor analysis application, an underestimated role of indicators of investment in agriculture, the intensity and efficiency of agricultural production, were established. Based on the results of the cluster analysis, the established five groups of regions were identified, with significant differences in the level of investment in agriculture, the volume of production of the main types of agricultural products, and the export and exported food. The research results are of practical value for use in improving institutional management when planning reforms and transformations of regional innovative agrosystems.
