PENGARUH KEDISIPLINAN KERJA DAN KINERJA KARYAWAN TERHADAP PENERAPAN TOTAL QUALITY MANAJEMEN DI OEMAH DJOWO CLASSIC OTO RESTO YOGYAKARTA

Quality is a major factor in order to survive in the business’s competition. So the quality being the main things that should be done by each company. In order to increase the quality of human resources, corporate can implement total quality management (TQM), by which an employee should do a job better, more effective and more efficient in producing the products with high quality. This research was aimed to know the influence of working discipline, working performance and the implementation of total quality management (TQM) at Oemah Djowo Classic Oto Resto Yogyakarta.This research method used is the quantitative approach. The populations in this research were 40 people and all were respondents. The result showed that working discipline and working performance has a significant influence for the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) at Oemah Djowo Classic Oto Resto Yogyakarta.

Descriptive Statistical Analysis

Competition in the business field is rapid and tight, particularly in the hospitality industry. A company needs the efforts to do continuous improvement toward the potential of human resources, process, and the environment to bring about the best quality of product or service. The effective and efficient way to improve those capabilities is by implementing Total Quality Management (TQM). TQM contributes the benefit such as increasing the competitiveness of the company. TQM concept denotes the concept of continuous improvement that applies to every level of the operation. W Bali – Seminyak, specifically housekeeping department has objective to offer the unique and special moments, inventing the creative staff, and recultivating the hospitality in Bali which committed to implementing TQM optimally. The purpose of the study was to investigate the implementation of Total Quality Management in the housekeeping department of W Bali-Seminyak as well as the obstacles to it. Methods of analysis used in this study were descriptive qualitative and descriptive statistical analysis. The result of this study indicated TQM had been implemented in the housekeeping department, W Bali- Seminyak.

TQM should be applied to every Islamic education unit in order to encourage the quality of excellent service to stakeholders. Because, in today's sharp world of global competition, many people talk about "quality" especially related to jobs that produce products or services. A result is made because there are those who need it, and those needs develop along with the quality demands of the users. Recognizing this task, SMPN 1 Dlanggu, which has achieved many achievements in various fields both academically and non-academically, continues to improve services for students by completing various learning facilities, qualified human resources (teachers and employees), and coordinating/collaborating with related institutions. In its implementation, TQM has an influence. Among them, student achievement is increasing. Not only in academics, but also non-academics, the enthusiasm of the community to send their children to SMPN 1 Dlanggu is increasing. There is a good relationship / cooperation between all residents of Dlanggu Middle School 1, both internally and externally to jointly improve school quality

Total Quality Management (TQM) is one approach that can be done to improve the quality of resources, both human resources, natural resources and other resources. The application of the TQM approach greatly influences the theoretical abilities of employees, technical, conceptual, moral, and technical skills of human resources themselves. From some research results it can be said that the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) is very influential on improving the quality of human resources.

Improving the quality of the madrasah in the direction of improvement is a necessity amid tight competition among educational institutions in producing output quality. In this context, the imple- mentation of total quality management (TQM) is one of the alternatives as a form in an attempt to increase the quality of the madrasah. There are at least three important steps in the implementation of TQM at the school, namely: 1) the environment of human resources and madrasah, 2) the environment surrounding communities, and 3) the state of the natural environment or atmosphere madrasah. The church has not implemented many quality management (TQM) in its institutions because it is considered that this is only for companies that aim to profit. Whereas profit is not TQM orientation but customer satisfaction. The importance of TQM is due to the rapidly changing world and the presence of competitors from both similar and different institutions. One of the products offered by the church is teaching-based, especially the basic doctrines of the Christian faith. This is rarely done by the church, it can be seen from the absence of writings that discuss the doctrine of doctrine as part of church quality management and as an adaptation of the church in dealing with competitors. The approach used in this paper is a qualitative grounded research method; the reason is, that there has not been found a paper that presents the teaching of the basic doctrines of the Christian faith as part of the implementation of TQM in the Church. The results found that teaching the basic doctrines of the Christian faith has made the Church in general able to survive for thousands of years in the midst of various teaching attacks from both internal and external to the Church. The conclusion is that the teaching of the doctrine of the Christian faith is the main product of the Church in satisfying the congregation to ensure that the congregation remains part of the holy community, namely the Church, as well as being an important part of showing the quality of the Church.AbstrakGereja belum banyak yang menerapkan majemen mutu (TQM) di dalam lembaganya karena dianggap hal tersebut hanya untuk perusahaan yang bertujuan profit. Padahal profit bukan orien-tasi TQM tetapi kepuasaan pelanggan. Pentingnya TQM dikarenakan dunia yang cepat berubah dan hadirnya kompetitor baik dari lembaga sejenis maupun yang berbeda. Salah satu produk yang ditawarkan gereja adalah berbasis pengajaran, khususnya doktrin dasar iman Kristen. Hal ini jarang dilakukan gereja, terlihat dari belum adanya tulisan yang mengangkat bahasan peng-ajaran doktrin merupakan bagian dari manajemen mutu gereja serta sebagai adaptasi gereja dalam menghadapi kompetitor. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode grounded research; alasannya, karena belum ditemukan sebuah tulisan yang menyajikan pengajaran doktrin dasar iman Kristen merupakan bagian dari implementasi TQM di dalam Gereja. Hasil yang ditemukan bahwa, pengajaran doktrin dasar iman Kristen telah membuat Gereja secara umum dapat bertahan selama ribuan tahun di tengah berbagai serangan pengajaran baik dari internal dan eksternal Gereja. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah, pengajaran doktrin iman Kristen merupakan produk yang utama dari Gereja dalam memuaskan jemaat untuk menjamin jemaat tetap menjadi bagian dari persekutuan kudus yaitu Gereja, selain juga merupakan bagian penting untuk menujukkan kualitas Gereja itu.

Quality management is something that needs to be prepared in improving human resources in the coming era. Pursuing an education package is one of the solutions in overcoming the equal distribution of education to improve the quality of Indonesian human resources. The quality of pursuing education packages must also be prepared to carry out quality education. The quality of pursuing education packages can be implemented by fulfilling four aspects, namely aspects of leadership, aspects of the quality of educators, aspects of service quality and aspects of customer satisfaction. The synergy of the four aspects is the key to the success of a quality education that is well realized.

In realizing the social demand in this turbulent environment and fulfilling the social needs of higher education, the management should consider the quality of education. Therefore, this study intends to adopt the theory of Total Quality Management (TQM), which has been developed and only understood by the managers of business institutions, to be applied in higher education institutions that are responsible for improving the quality of human resources. Although the TQM concept in higher education is still in controversy, this study is expected to give contribution to the creative thought. The realization of total quality, indeed, is easier to discuss than to implement. The implementation of TQM is interesting and binding as well because it insists fundamental change and reform of the culture of traditional organization. Besides, it also insists commitment and totality that must be realized seriously. Human resources as the vital components in higher education must be paid attention and treatment as insisted by TQM requirements, that is, cross-functional cooperation, empowerment and involvement of all staffs, participative management style, availability of effective media of communication and others. Dalam mewujudkan permintaan sosial di lingkungan yang penuh gejolak ini dan memenuhi kebutuhan sosial pendidikan tinggi, manajemen harus memperhatikan kualitas pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadopsi teori Total Quality Management (TQM), yang telah dikembangkan dan hanya dipahami oleh para pengelola lembaga bisnis, untuk diterapkan di institusi pendidikan tinggi yang bertanggung jawab atas peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Meski konsep TQM di perguruan tinggi masih dalam kontroversi, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pemikiran kreatif. Realisasi kualitas total memang lebih mudah dibahas daripada diimplementasikan. Implementasi TQM juga menarik dan mengikat karena ini menegaskan perubahan mendasar dan reformasi budaya organisasi tradisional. Selain itu, ia juga menegaskan komitmen dan totalitas yang harus diwujudkan dengan serius. Sumber daya manusia sebagai komponen vital dalam pendidikan tinggi harus diperhatikan dan diperlakukan sesuai dengan persyaratan TQM, yaitu kerjasama lintas fungsi, pemberdayaan dan keterlibatan semua staf, gaya manajemen partisipatif, tersedianya media komunikasi yang efektif dan lainnya.
