Evaluation is currently at the heart of the priorities of education systems. It is not limited to learning but affects several aspects: teachers, schools, training, management, education policies, and the system as a whole. There is a need in this area where research is extremely scarce in Morocco and especially in the teaching and education sector. The notion of transposing quality evaluation to the pedagogical side is very difficult and ambiguous. The evaluation of a school is a complex process, with varied practices and multiple actors. The first objective of this work is to present, within a rigorous methodological framework, the validation of pedagogical and administrative quality indicators in schools. This tool is a dashboard with precise indicators for the pedagogical audit of schools and educational institutions adapted to the Moroccan context. To select the best indicators, we used several techniques (structured interviews, focus groups, factor analysis, etc.) with the actors who carry out their activities. We identified three (03) fields and ten (10) criteria with indicators that form the basis of a quality assessment. The fields are management and strategic planning, administrative and sector management, and pedagogical organization.

The quality of students graduating from vocational high school can be improved if the principal's leadership and increased industrial participation are supported. The purpose of this study is to analyze. This study employs a quantitative approach and path analysis techniques in conjunction with a survey method. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. Instruments were thoroughly tested prior to their use in research. Validity and reliability tests are conducted on the instruments. The data analysis in this study was conducted using both descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. This study was conducted at seven State Vocational High Schools in Serang City. Principals' leadership and industrial participation, according to research, have a direct effect on school quality. The principal's leadership directly impacts the school's quality. Industry involvement has a direct positive effect on the quality of education. Principal leadership has a positive effect on labor participation directly. This research implies a shift in perspective regarding the quality of State Vocational Schools in Serang City, particularly at the leadership level as a manager accountable for the graduates' quality. School leaders ensure that collaboration with industry is demonstrated through participation in the development of industry-related curricula.

To improve the quality and competitiveness of human capital and correspond to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 especially target 4.3, to ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality technical, vocational and tertiary education, Indonesia has been focusing on improving the quality of secondary education. However, empirical data and previous research showed that secondary school graduates in Indonesia face high unemployment and income differences, especially vocational school graduates. The quality of secondary high schools plays an important role in determining the years of schooling of the graduates and indirectly impacts labor market outcomes. Using longitudinal panel data at the individual level from the Indonesia Family Life Survey (IFLS) of 2000, 2007, and 2014; and applying education production function and Mincer earning equation, this study finds that the difference in wages between graduates of general and vocational high schools is not statistically significant despite the school quality. However, analyzing within the vocational high schools shows that better quality of vocational high schools increases years of schooling of its graduates as they can access tertiary education, and subsequently increases their performance in the labor market. This finding indicates that policies to improve school quality, especially vocational high schools, should be enhanced.

The purpose of this study was to explore the impact of a principal strengthening training program. Data were collected using a survey, and the sample consisted of 380 school principals in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, who were training participants in 2019. The trends in the performance of the school principals were examined through descriptive statistics. The study found that the average principal’s performance was moderate, which meant that the strengthening training had a positive impact on their performance, but this effect was not significant. This may be because individuals participated in the training to fulfill duty obligations, not because of an intrinsic motivation to increase their competence. In addition, it is suspected that the initial appointment as school principal was not an independent choice, but at the insistence of another party. Therefore, the credibility of the process of recruiting school principals needs to be improved so that personnel who have real motivation and enthusiasm to increase school quality are chosen. Keywords: principal strengthening training, principal performance

Virtually every city in the United States bans multifamily homes in at least some neighborhoods, and in many cities most residential land is restricted to single family homes. This is the case even though many metropolitan areas are facing skyrocketing housing costs and increased environmental degradation that could be alleviated by denser housing supply. Some scholars have argued that an unrepresentative set of vocal development opponents are the culprits behind this collective action failure. Yet, recent work suggests that opposition to density may be widespread. In this research note, I use a conjoint survey experiment to provide evidence that preferences for single-family development are ubiquitous. Across every demographic subgroup analyzed, respondents preferred single-family home developments by a wide margin. Relative to single family homes, apartments are viewed as decreasing property values, increasing crime rates, lowering school quality, increasing traffic, and decreasing desirability.
